New crash post login
Installed tahoe on my laptop last night, and everything worked fine, probably used for about 20 minutes just opening apps and terminal and stuff then shut it down.
Turned it on today, booted into macos, and the login screen is fine but as soon as i login, after maybe 10 seconds (seems random each time) the whole thing freezes up.
Specs
i7 10th gen
8gb ram (i know not ideal, but worked fine yesterday)
nvme ssd
chainloading opencore bootloader after systemdboot

| 4 | HP ProDesk 400 G7, but there's a problem with it!
Hi! I'm currently running a Hackintosh (Tahoe version) on an HP ProDesk 400 G7, but for some reason, it's only using 7MB of VRAM. If I remove -igfxvesa, the screen goes blank. Does anyone know anything about this?
I tried everything I was told to do, but it didn't work.
And I'm using HDMI.
cpu:i5-10500
grapics: intel uhd grapics 630

I'm in a rush, so I need to get this done quickly.

| 7 | Success: Working Airplay/Screen Mirroring in Ventura using AX210NGW (AirportItlwm bug fix)
So this driver was made because my new AX210NGW was not allowing Airplay, despite working fine in Somona and Sequoia. Uses modified AirportItlwm 2.3.0. Bug fix details are as follows:
This involves the Ventura AWDL virtual-interface path:
if (!inf->attach(this)) {
XYLog("%s failed to attach AWDL interface to controller\\n",Ā FUNCTION);
inf->release();
return kIOReturnError;
}
fAWDLInterface = inf;
inf->registerService();
combined with re-enabling Ventura virtual-interface creation instead of returning kIOReturnUnsupported.
So the real bug was not Bonjour, not the TV, not infra en1, and not Sonoma-only Skywalk architecture. AirportItlwm was creating the AWDL object, but not attaching/publishing it as a real IOService child, so CoreWiFi could not resolve the awdl role. Once attached and registered, the TV appeared and AirPlay worked. Contains AI generated code.
https://github.com/maddog860/itlwm-Working-Ventura-Airplay/releases/tag/Ventura-Airplay-Fix
Hope this helps others! Feel free to share feedback! Take it easy Reddit!
Tested on Latitude 7490 with AX210NGW, latest Mac OS Ventura.
Here seems to be a documented case of the bug:

| 8 | Incorrect sensor readings dual booting Windows from Opencore Fix
Public service FYI announcement. Thought I would share this fix I discovered while dual booting into Windows and getting way off voltage sensor readings in HwInfo. Basically add this edit to your config plist file:
UpdateSMBIOSMode = Custom with Kernel ā Quirks ā CustomSMBIOSGuid = True
At first I thought maybe it was an after effect of running opencore on a coffeelake modded system and dual booting into Windows. It still may have been a side effect but in anycase the above fix corrects the sensor anomaly.
The other issue I also had was a random warning appearing at post that my bios settings have been reset. For the longest while thought there was something unstable in my system I could not figure out but this opencore fix solves that problem:
DisableRtcChecksum = true
Thought i should share for benefit of anyone else having this issue.
Also sorry I don't have exact locations for these edits.
Thanks

| 9 | Dual boot with dual input monitor
Couple of specification first :
i9 9900k
MSI z390 Gaming Carbon
nVidia 2070
Alienwere AW3225QF which has a a Display Port and 2 HDMI
Running the iGPU for mac and the nVidia for windows.
Is there anyway I can achive this by not physically changing the cables and modfy the Bios setting ? (ie : IGD Multi-Monitor)
Maybe a simpler explaination would be :
Boot into Windows -> nVidia
Boot into macOS -> Intel iGPU
With both cables plugged in*

| 10 | installing macOS in my Intel, I 7/10 generation processor
Looking for guidance: macOS Sequoia 15 / Tahoe 26 on i7-10700 + Gigabyte Z490M Gaming X
Hi everyone,
Iām planning to install macOS on my desktop and would appreciate some guidance from the Hackintosh community regarding the best configuration for my hardware.
My hardware
* CPU: Intel Core i7-10700 (10th Gen Comet Lake)
* Motherboard: Gigabyte Z490M Gaming X Rev. 1.0
* RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3200
* iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630
* dGPU: Gigabyte GeForce GT 710 2GB DDR3
* macOS SSD: Crucial MX500 1TB SATA
* Windows SSD: Kingston A2000 500GB NVMe
* Data HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB SATA
* Audio interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB
* Onboard audio: Realtek ALC1200
* Network: Wired Ethernet
* No Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
I want to keep Windows on the Kingston NVMe and install macOS separately on the Crucial MX500, with Windows and macOS available through OpenCore.
Graphics requirements
My preference is to use the Intel UHD 630 for macOS.
I understand that the GT 710 is not suitable for modern macOS versions, so Iām planning to disable/ignore it in macOS rather than relying on it.
For Windows, I would like to keep the GT 710 available if possible.
I currently have my monitor connected to the motherboardās video output, so Iām hoping to use the UHD 630 for macOS.
I may consider a supported AMD GPU in the future if there is a real benefit, but I donāt want to purchase one unless it is actually necessary.
Audio requirements
My primary audio interface is a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, which I use for recording and music production.
I would like the Scarlett 2i2 to work normally in macOS.
I would also like the motherboardās Realtek ALC1200 onboard audio to work as a backup, particularly for the 3.5mm audio output.
Iāve seen different approaches for audio configuration, including AppleALC and, for Tahoe, methods involving AppleHDA/root patching. Iām particularly interested in knowing what the recommended approach is for my hardware.
macOS version
Initially I was considering Tahoe 26, but after reading about the changes to AppleHDA and the additional audio/root-patching requirements, Iām now seriously considering Sequoia 15 because it appears to have a more mature and straightforward Hackintosh configuration.
I would appreciate advice on:
1. Whether Sequoia 15 is the better choice for this hardware compared with Tahoe 26.
2. Whether UHD 630 graphics acceleration should work properly on Sequoia with this i7-10700/Z490 setup.
3. The recommended SMBIOS for this system.
4. Whether the GT 710 can simply be disabled in macOS while retaining it for Windows.
5. The recommended AppleALC layout/configuration for the ALC1200 on this motherboard.
6. Whether the Scarlett 2i2 should work without additional audio drivers.
7. Any important Z490 BIOS settings or quirks I should be aware of.
8. Any other kexts, ACPI patches, boot arguments, or configuration changes that are particularly important for this hardware.
9. Whether there are any known issues with Sequoia on this specific Comet Lake/Z490/UHD 630 combination.
Iām planning to use OpenCore, and Iām happy to provide hardware reports, screenshots, or my generated EFI/config if that helps.
Any advice from people running a similar 10th-gen Intel/Z490/UHD 630 system would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

| 20 | Successful +5db Volume Amplification with Modified AppleAlc.kext (Latitude 7490)
So I love my latitude 7490 Hackintosh, I can triple boot Ventura, Somona, and Sequoia, but the sound was never loud enough, and I would need to install eqMac to boost the max volume on all of my installs. Well I spent the day today creating a modified AppleALC driver with the help of AI, and it boosts the max volume by about 5db. Even audio content that was loud to begin with, does not clip or distort when using this kext, and it has been tested on two different machines. Requires the following boot-args to function: **alcid=56 alcverbs=1 -alcdhost**
[https://github.com/maddog860/5db-Volume-Boost-Latitude-7490/releases/tag/Volume-Boost](https://github.com/maddog860/5db-Volume-Boost-Latitude-7490/releases/tag/Volume-Boost)
This includes a writeup that explains what was figured out today, and how this approach can increase the max volume of other hackintoshes. Enjoy everyone, and feel free to post feedback. This post is not asking for help, just submitting my positive results with artificial assistance, and therefore should not break any rules.
The specific undocumented/poorly documented 7490 audio details established were:
* The codec isĀ **Realtek ALC256 / Dell ALC3246**, vendor IDĀ `0x10ec0256`.
* TheĀ **internal speaker pin is node**Ā `0x14`.
* Its pin config isĀ `0x90170110`.
* That speaker pin routes toĀ **DAC node**Ā `0x02`.
* The DAC/output amp capability came back asĀ `0x00025757`, corresponding roughly to a range from aboutĀ **ā65 dB up to 0 dB**.
* AtĀ **100% macOS volume**, the DAC gain was already sitting atĀ `0x57`Ā **on both channels**, which is the top of that hardware range.
* The speakerĀ **EAPD was already enabled**Ā (`0x02`), so there wasn't an obvious hidden āturn the speaker amp fully onā switch left unused.
* The codec also has aĀ **vendor processing node**Ā `0x20`Ā exposingĀ **91 coefficients**Ā (`0x5b`). One of those, coefficientĀ `0x37`, is associated in Linux codec work withĀ **Class-D amplifier control**.
* The 7490ās internal amplifier is aboutĀ **2 W per channel**.
