As we discussed, price contacted the MAJOR monthly demand zone π© and short positions were at extremely elevated levels.
That created the conditions for institutions to begin closing shorts β helping fuel the move higher. πβ‘οΈπ
And thatβs exactly what weβve seen.
π CFTC positioning:
π΄ Shorts: 277K β‘οΈ 235K
π A reduction of roughly 42K short contracts
That puts short positioning much closer to average levels now.
As price moved higher, new DAILY demand was also created. π©π
And now that demand zone is in play.
π― So the question becomes:
Does this new daily demand hold and continue to push EUR/USD higher?
Or does price remove it and change the story?
π¦ The extreme short positioning has been significantly reduced.
