Patriotic Alternative are pleased to announce that we are currently supporting the families of political prisoners who were targeted for their involvement in the Southampton protests, following the murder of Henry Nowak. Patriotic Alternative have gifted £1000 to the family of Matt Styler, as part of our fundraiser for the families of political prisoners. Father and husband, Matt Styler, was sitting on a wall at a protest in Southampton when riot police, without warning, moved their lines past him. When he failed to move with sufficient speed, due to the 13 pins in his ankle, they began beating him with their fists, knees and riot shields. The attack was completely unprovoked and extremely traumatic for a man suffering from PTSD after his military service. For defending himself, he has been charged with the crime of "assaulting an emergency worker" and has been remanded in custody until November. Styler pleaded "not guilty" to his charge. The video of Styler's attack has been circulated widely on social media and is being used as an example of heavy-handed police brutality towards our people. Patriotic Alternative has just made our first donation to the family of somebody remanded over his involvement in the Southampton protest following the murder of Henry Nowak. Really proud to help this guy as he literally did nothing wrong! Post will be going up shortly.
