Dashrath's wife was badly injured while crossing the mountain that separated their village from essential services. Because the journey around it was so long, she could not receive medical help in time β and she died.
Out of his grief came an extraordinary determination:Β no one else should suffer the same fate because of that mountain.
With nothing but a hammer and chisel, this poor labourer from Bihar spentΒ 22 yearsΒ cutting a road through the mountain β largely with his own hands.
No wealth. No machines. No powerful connections. Just love, pain transformed into purpose, and an almost unimaginable perseverance.
Sometimes one human being decides that the impossible simply has to become possible.
