Vitthuraya, Why Do You Glance at Us So Secretly? O Vitthuraya, why do You turn and look at us from the corner of Your eye? Blessed, truly blessed, are those moments when we catch even the slightest glimpse of You. Tell me, O Lord, what need have You to hide Your gaze? A single glance from You is enough to reveal the wonder of the entire universe. You witness the joys and sorrows of all beings—living and non-living alike. Quietly You keep account of each soul according to its own actions and karma. Your divine play unfolds with such effortless ease. As the eternal witness, You remain untouched, detached, and serene. It is Your wish, O Lord, whether You keep us happy or not. But let Your holy Name remain forever upon our lips. With folded hands, this alone is my prayer to You: May my head rest at Your holy feet at the end of my life’s journey. [Forwarded as received]

Crazy real-life story on Instagram that reveals a disturbing side to human nature Note: The events took place just a few days
Crazy real-life story on Instagram that reveals a disturbing side to human nature Note: The events took place just a few days ago full story on: https://www.instagram.com/p/DZNSHLLI58F Summary: The post tells the story of Hillary Dawa Sherpa, a 52-year-old Everest worker who survived nearly a week alone on the mountain without food, water, or oxygen after being left behind during a descent from high altitude. Though later described in the media as a “miracle,” the author argues that this framing hides the more disturbing reality: Dawa was allegedly abandoned, and the rescue response was dangerously delayed. The central point is that Sherpa workers are often treated as disposable, even though foreign climbers depend on them for survival. The author contrasts Dawa’s delayed rescue with past cases where Sherpas risked their lives for many hours to recover the body of a dead foreign climber. The implied injustice is clear: when a foreign tourist is in danger, the entire system mobilizes; when a Sherpa is in danger, the response can be slow, passive, or resigned. The post criticizes the romantic language of “resilience” and “superhuman strength,” arguing that it allows people to admire Sherpas while avoiding accountability for how they are treated. Dawa’s wife also asked whether the response would have been different had the missing person been a foreign climber, especially given the huge revenues generated by Everest permits. The author, who has climbed Everest twice, also implicates himself as someone who benefited from Sherpa labor. He concludes that Sherpas should not be seen as mythical beings who can survive anything, but as human beings with families, dignity, and the right to the same urgency and protection given to paying foreign climbers. Core message: Do not call abandonment a miracle. Dawa’s survival should lead not only to relief and admiration, but to serious questions about negligence, inequality, and the exploitation of Sherpa workers on Everest.

Fascinating and mind-boggling short video about a new map about our Universe Length: 1.5min The 47 million galaxies in the video are actually just a tiny tiny fraction of the observable universe.   The current scientific estimate is that it contains roughly 200 billion to 2 trillion galaxies. This refers only to the observable universe—the part whose light has had time to reach us since the “Big Bang”. The observable universe is about 93 billion light-years in diameter. To put the scale in perspective: Our galaxy, the Milky Way, contains roughly 100–400 billion stars. If there are around 1 trillion galaxies, then the total number of stars in the observable universe would be on the order of 10²² to 10²⁴ stars (tens of sextillions to septillions). The numbers are so large that many astronomers like to say there are more stars in the observable universe than grains of sand on all the beaches of Earth. And then of course, it gets even more mind-boggling, when we consider, that beyond our universe, according to Hindu cosmology, there are countless other universes (often called brahmāṇḍas) arising and dissolving within the Divine, in what is referred to as the “multiverse”. Interestingly, modern cosmology and traditional Hindu cosmology arrive at a similar intuition: what we can observe may be only a tiny part of a much larger reality. The difference is that modern science treats the multiverse as a hypothesis awaiting evidence, whereas the spiritual traditions present multiple worlds as part of their cosmological vision.
