Guys, in a competitive exam, it’s not a winning strategy if everyone is following it That’s why I think staying low has helped Sleepy produce many toppers To be known only by a few, who in turn came hearing a strong word of mouth by those who had made it through We stayed low, we could never make a lot of money, our marketing stayed humble And therefore we only got serious students recommended by recommended candidates And we kept creating toppers It’s been very satisfying to witness selections year after year And I just want to tell you that to succeed in UPSC you need these two together, Content and Intent Today, in our GS Batch Induction class, I want to give you both The next 300 days, we’ll give you the content But today, I’ll share 11 points that will help you get that intent as well Do join me today at 2pm I’ll see you there 🙏

Doston, I'll be starting with the subject of Environment and Ecology for UPSC 2027 with this schedule. I'll be focusing on subject clarity and strengthening concepts before we move on to current affairs. The sources I have always followed to curate current affairs are: • Newspapers • PIB • Down to Earth Magazine • Government websites • Government and international reports If you want to join the course, here is the link - If you want to prepare by yourself, the drill is the same: focus on static content and interlink it with current affairs of at least 18 months prior to the prelims.

UPSC has asked this question in Sociology Optional Paper Some important points to note: Deniz Kandiyoti’s idea of Patriarchal Bargain That older women gain limited authority after years of subordination, so they may control younger women to protect their status Also note the words like Patrilocality Sociological insight: Since the bride moves to the husband’s home, she becomes isolated and dependent, making her vulnerable to control Another important insight from this article is Gender Socialisation Where girls are taught obedience, sacrifice and adjustment, and later reproduce the same norms for other women Bourdieu calls this Symbolic Violence (It is the idea that patriarchal control appears normal as “tradition,” “family honour” or “good behaviour”) Extra point: Gramsci’s idea of Hegemony That, patriarchy survives not only through male domination but also through consent and enforcement by women themselves Will keep sharing more insights as and when an important article appears in The Hindu, Indian Express or EPW Keep following Sleepy Sociology and let’s keep topping the exam while enjoying the subject ✌️

UPSC is asking certain really deep questions (of optional level) in GS Sharing one such topic for Social Issues that can be asked but the topic belongs to Sociology Optional (Will share more such topics from other subjects in coming days) Slowly but steadily, this is the level which we should be aiming at if we aim to ace the GS Mains 🙏

There are not many toppers I have come across who have improved their Mains score by 100 marks and that too in a year. But, as god has it, there's one who did it this year. She's a brilliant example of how to excel in Mains and rise from ashes like a phoenix. If you ever get a chance to ask her a question, what would that be?

One of the best quotes read in a long time, possibly a near future essay topic, this is from the booksets of Dune: Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them”

If asked to write an essay on it, what will be your main points
If asked to write an essay on it, what will be your main points

Answer writing is the only way to develop your own self 🙏 Write and you’ll become right for UPSC 😃

Bachon answers mein thinkers kitne daalne hai is an age old question Many toppers use a lot of them, many only a few So, my only advice is to make the answer flow Make the answer an answer and not just explaining the topic Always remember, we never answer a topic, we answer a question 🙏 Create your own identity Write a lot of answers Get them reviewed See if you are able to answer the questions Don’t be arbitrarily fooled by “add these many thinkers” or “don’t add thinkers” debate Also, you can follow this simple plan to make yourself better at Socio and make Socio help you get a rank Information collection ⬇️ Conceptual Understanding ⬇️ Multi dimensional understanding ⬇️ Understanding the demands of the question ⬇️ High quality answers ⬇️ Selection Write And your own topper self will appear 🙏

And ya, made a tracker for you to stay focused 🙏 https://youtube.com/shorts/su_IPyCcFN8?si=Oq-fAWAXJdt7lyvP

Hand on your heart Sach sach batao: 1. yeh article kisne kisne padhaa hai 2. yeh article nahin padha par news pataa hai https://www.pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2233518&reg=48&lang=2 Will help me plan my eco series better

Guys.. sharing something personal Today, was a tiring day And in fact a very responsibly tiring day Today, there were students from Odisha, Banaras, Jharkhand and a few other places Some came alone, some with their parents, and then in the evening, some could not come but only sent their parents As a teacher, it made me really happy that someone travelled across the country to learn from me and my team But more than happiness, I think it is now bringing in a great sense of responsibility It’s not the same as travelling to Delhi People have been coming to Delhi since forever and I don’t know how but parents in their minds think it’s important to go to Delhi and they agree when their kid asks for it But coming to Chandigarh ? I mean where even is Chandigarh on the map ? Who is sleepy ? Is that even a name of a serious coaching ? Are you sure you are taking the right decision ? Then thinking of dropping their kid here for a year and trusting the process ? Suddenly I’m feeling I’m not only carrying the responsibility of students’ academic excellence but also their parents trust I’ll be absolutely straight forward here that I’ve never felt THIS responsible in online mode ever I mean I’ve always been dead serious about academics and competing to win and I’m glad my team carries the same DNA But this is something different Trust is a heavy thing Every student who walks in carries dreams A lot of sacrifices by their parents And the faith that their time here will matter Guys, I’m grateful for all this And most importantly for the love And guys, I want to tell you here that I and everyone in team sleepy will be even more committed to being worthy of it 🙏 We want to make sure that you arise, awake and stop not till the goal is achieved I just want to tell you that, we’ll not let you down 🙏🙏
