Efficacy & ROI: Cuts anaemia by up to 21%; costs ₹14 to ₹20 per person annually with a high 4.2:1 benefit cost ratio. Policy Alignment: Strengthens the Anaemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) strategy and leverages the legacy of Universal Salt Iodisation (95% reach). 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀 PDS Gap: Mandated in PM POSHAN and ICDS, but PDS integration (~800M beneficiaries) remains fragmented due to state level inertia. Non Technical Hurdles: Lack of dedicated funding, supply chain quality control, and consumer awareness.
