Repost from THE Exercises
Here is a new episode for you. The exericise will take 20 min
Episode #29. Watch and practice in real time
Practice Line by Line and Get to hear EVERY word.
Please follow the instructions closely to achieve outstanding results!
Your inner state shapes everything that happens in your world.
I know this from experience. When Iām peaceful, my baby cooperates when I need to work out. When Iām trusting, the right words flow effortlesslyāI donāt have to try hard to access them. When Iām loving, the world itself feels like a sanctuary of beauty and meaning.
But⦠when I worry, my mind takes me on toxic loops. I lose wordsāeven in my native language. Iām late to meetings. The items I need are suddenly out of stock. My day feels impossibly short. My family senses my tension, and this energy ripples through our home.
So I ask myself: Do I choose to complain, or do I choose to create?
Your inner state is a choiceāa practiceānot a product of what others do. When youāre deep in conversation in a foreign language, no one will āsaveā you from your own fears, toxic thoughts, or unconscious somatic reactions.
Choosing faith in your ability to learn and change is a choice.
Choosing daily, conscious steps toward growth is a choice.
Choosing to refuse the power of a nagging thought is a choice.
Choosing spontaneity over scripted safety is a choiceāand it means taking a risk.
Many learners remain trapped in preparation mode: they translate every sentence in their head (or in ChatGPT) before they speak. But by the time itās your turn to speak, all the words they have careful prepared feel irrelevant.
The moment demands presenceāand a spontaneous, clear response.
To be presentāand to speak with confidence in high-pressure situationsāyou must BE before you SPEAK.
Being happens in your body.
Speaking happens in your mindābecause most of us think by talking.
Your internal state of being always determines what you sayāand how you say it.
If youāre stuck translating and never truly yourself in English, itās time for a practice being in English and to practice English differently.
Join our community and dare to practice in a whole new way.
In our Sunday LIVE sessions, youāll discover powerful insights for developing your inner speechāand finally sound like you, in any language.

Another good reminder of what āinner stateā is really about.

Good questions to ask yourself:
What is governing my commitment to improving my English?
Am I expecting myself to fail or get disappointedā¦and thatās why Iām not fully committed?
Am I expecting results without embodying true devotion?
Another great example of CLARITY.
The difference between happiness and pleasure ā¬ļø
Can you explain your ideas in 3 min or less in English? I love this challenge and the practice of reducing the clutter, strengthening my ideas and arriving at a clear message.
Here is a good example of being Clear using very few words. Andā¦simple words.
You donāt have to necessarily learn new, smart, or advanced words to sound clear and real. You need to THINK in the language differently.
And you need to think.
Just shared a new episode of Natalia Reads with the community members.
This is a teaser. I absolutely loved reading a chapter from David Deidaās āIntimate Communionā.
- How did it help me in my language practice?
- How can YOU use this piece to work on your melody and rhythm?
- The words I am still struggling with and the exercises Iām going to do to work on them?
Iām sharing all this with the community members.
Work with the content that inspires you.
But make sure you do the work that improves your skills instead of mindlessly consuming content.
Iām always inspired by beauty. How about you?
P.S. to listen to the full chapter and practice with the transcript go to the section āREAD DIFFERENTLYā in the community of practice.

AI knows only what people know.
And more specifically ā what the loudest people on the internet claim to know.
We educate AI. Not the other way around.
I once asked it: āWhat are the necessary meta-skills for self-learning non-trivial skills like native-like fluency in a foreign language?ā
It couldnāt give me a solid answer. Just a bunch of clichĆ©s ā pulled from influencers who teach completely different things:
- How to memorize 50 words in a day
- How to learn a guitar song in one afternoon
- How to solve math equations
- How to write clean code fast
Useful? Absolutely.
But letās be honest ā those arenāt the kind of skills that require rewiring the nervous system.
They donāt ask you to change a stubborn pattern that lives in your body.
Everyone says, āLearning is easy if you break it into steps.ā Sure. So is eating healthy. So is going to bed on time. But we all know how hard it is to do that consistently, especially when it matters most.
Try changing your accent. It doesnāt matter if you have the best coach and repeat the right words a million times ā it wonāt stick until you interrupt the way your bodyās been speaking for decades.
Try calming your nervous system under pressure.
Try telling your palms not to sweat or your hands not to shake when youāre scared.
That doesnāt change with logic. It changes through practice ā real, embodied, uncomfortable practice.
Same with posture. Everyone knows you can do mobility work or shoulder resets.
But who actually does it? And who sticks with it ā even on their worst day?
Changing the way you walk, speak, or react feels like a threat to your nervous system.
Thatās why most people avoid it.
But thatās where transformation lives.
Meta-skills help us learn better and faster. Self-awareness is one of them. But thereās no true protocol to teach self-awareness ā no matter how many people claim to have one.
AI can only echo what someone else said.
It canāt model the process of becoming. It doesnāt know what it feels like to unlearn something that kept you safe for years.
The truth is: Everything thatās worth teaching has been learned through direct experience. And the best thing we can do as humans is to share that.
AI gives you information. Your job is to verify it ā with your body, your experience, your life.
As for meta-skills? A lot of people talk about them. Very few know how to train them. Almost no one has a system that actually works.
Because these skills canāt be taught. They can only be learned ā through experience most people try to avoid. Because asking AI feels easier.
But if it really were that easy, everyone would already speak fluently, effortlessly ā like a native speaker.
The system I teach might seem complex at first ā and thatās no accident.
Getting past the upper-intermediate plateau requires something most learners avoid:
You have to unlearn how youāve been speaking.
How youāve been sounding.
How youāve been thinking in English ā sometimes for years.
It takes more than polishing grammar or memorizing new vocabulary.
It takes rewiring over 50% of your speech patterns.
It takes getting off autopilot mode ā and staying off it.
And thatās why my approach isnāt casual.
Itās deliberate practice, powered by intense focus.
Because hereās the truth: Focus is a meta-skill. And itās the first skill we train inside my method.
If you're serious about sounding fluent ā naturally, spontaneously, and with power ā this is the path.

Why do you need more than āokay Englishā?
Why now?
What are you building that requires your real voice ā in English?
Letās get you there.
ā¬ļøā¬ļøā¬ļø What I did after the session to practice these words.
It took me 3 minutes.
A fragment of today's Sunday Practice Session:
We practiced with a very short passage, but boy...we discovered quite a lotš
REMINDER: you don't need to spend HOURS practicing what you need to improve. One exercise a day is enough. One passage is enough.
DM me to join the community and practice LIVE with us every Sunday. @nataliatokar
