#SpiritualTreasures: When it is God who has sent the plague, look towards it with a sense of reverence; O transgressor! Think not that it is accursed. Nay, it is you who are damned. Now is the time to repent, seek reformation, and abandon sin; I perceive a terrible end for him who continues to embrace evil. (Defence Against the Plague and a Criterion for the Elect of God, p. 5)

#DailyHadith: Umar b. al-Khattib reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Allah, the Great and Majestic, forbids you to swear by your fathers. Umar said: By Allah. I have never sworn (by my father) since I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbidding it mentioning them" on my behalf" nor on behalf of someone else. (Muslim)

#SpiritualTreasures: Prophets are never jealous of their Buruz [spiritual manifestation in another person] for he reflects their own image and character, but they are jealous of others. Just consider how Prophet Moses wept and cried on the night of Mi‘raj and expressed his envy that the Holy Prophet had left him far behind. Just imagine how hurt the Holy Prophet would be if God were to say that there would be no Prophet after him, and yet He were to send Jesus in contravention of His own word! Thus, Prophethood by way of Buruz neither detracts from Khatm-e-Nubuwwat [Seal of Prophethood], nor breaks the Seal; but the advent of any independent Prophet would hit at the very core of Islam. #DailyHadith: Narrated Abu Sa`id: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'People will be struck unconscious on the Day of Resurrection and I will be the first to regain consciousness, and behold! There I will see Moses holding one of the pillars of Allah's Throne. I will wonder whether he has become conscious before me of he has been exempted, because of his unconsciousness at the Tur (mountain) which he received (on the earth). (Bukhari)

#SpiritualTreasures: God Almighty states: Do not call one another by nicknames. Bad indeed is evil reputation after the profession of belief; and those who repent not are the wrongdoers (Quran, 49:12). Do not call upon one another in a hurtful manner out of irritation. For this is the way of the sinners and the transgressors. A person who scoffs at another shall not meet death until they too are subjected to the same. Do not look down upon your brethren. When all drink from the same stream, who knows which of you are destined to drink more than the other. Worldly definitions cannot afford a person honour and greatness. In the sight of God Almighty, great is the one who is righteous. (Malfuzat - Volume I, p. 35)

#DailyHadith: It has been reported on the authority of 'Abd al-Rahman b. Samura who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'Abd al-Rahman, do not ask for a position of authority, for if you are granted this position as a result of your asking for it, you will be left alone (without God's help to discharge the responsibilities attendant thereon), and it you are granted it without making any request for it, you will be helped (by God in the discharge of your duties). (Muslim)

#SpiritualTreasures: I observe that when a drunkard or one who suffers from addiction is unable to find satisfaction, they continue to drink glass after glass, until they are finally inebriated. A wise and prudent individual can benefit from this example. In other words, one must remain persistent in Prayer and continue observing it until they begin to experience pleasure. Just as a drunkard conceives of a pleasure in his mind, which is the actual objective he pursues, in the same way, the mind and all of one’s faculties must feel a propensity towards the acquisition of that very pleasure that exists in Prayer. Then, with sincerity and passion, at least to the extent that an addict suffers from anxiety, restlessness and pain, an individual ought to pray that they are able to experience the pleasure they seek. I say truthfully that surely and most definitely they will experience the pleasure of Prayer. (Malfuzat – Volume I, p. 38)

#DailyHadith: Uqbah bin 'Amir (ra) narrated that one day the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out and asked Allah's forgiveness for the martyrs of the battle of Uhud after eight years. It seemed that by so doing, he bid farewell to the living and the dead. He then came back, rose to the pulpit and said, "I shall be your precursor; I am a witness for you (before Allah), and I will be present before you at the Haud Al-Kauthar. By Allah I can see with my own eyes the Haud from this place. I am not afraid that you will associate anything with Allah in worship after (my demise), but I apprehend that you will vie with one another for the life of the world." The narrator said: It was the last time that I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). (--)

#SpiritualTreasures: The miracles and signs of the Holy Prophet shine from every angle, it is impossible for them to remain hidden. The miracles that have been testified by the Companions of the Holy Prophet are about three thousand in number. In addition, there are prophecies, that have already been fulfilled or are continuing to be fulfilled with the passage of time, and they number about ten thousand. Then there are some miracles and prophecies of the Holy Quran, the fulfilment of which we perceive and witness even in this age and no one can ever deny them. (Three Questions by a Christian and their Answers, p. 31)

#DailyHadith: Abu Musa reported: A child was born in my house and I brought him to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and he gave him the name of Ibrahim and he rubbed his palate with dates. (Muslim)

#SpiritualTreasures: Miscellaneous prayers are secondary. True prayer should aim at pleasing Allah, the Exalted; other prayers will be heard in consequence. (Commentary on the Holy Quran Vol. 1 Surah Fatiha, p. 288)

#DailyHadith: Aisha (ra) reported that while the Prophet (ﷺ) was reclining against me (during his last illness) I heard him saying: اللهم اغفر لي وارحمني وألحقني بالرفيق الأعلى "Allahumma-ghfir li, warhamni, wa alhiqni bir Rafiqil-A`la (O Allah, forgive me, bestow Your Mercy on me and let me join with the exalted companions.'" (Bukhari)

#SpiritualTreasures: Allah the Exalted is more merciful than a compassionate mother. He does not wish for His creation to be wasted. He reveals to you the paths of guidance and light. But in order to tread these paths, you must utilise your reason and purify your souls. Just as planting does not occur until the soil is ploughed to prepare it, so too pure reason cannot descend from heaven until souls are purified through strenuous effort and rigorous self-discipline. (Malfuzat – Volume I, p. 70)

#DailyHadith: Narrated Abu Huraira (ra) that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah said, 'O son of Adam! Spend, and I shall spend on you." (Bukhari)

#SpiritualTreasures: The words that a person utters in his exposition of truth and wisdom are considered a yardstick for measuring his intellectual abilities. The words that flow from the spring of the vastness of knowledge and perfect reason and those that emerge from narrow, constricted, dark, and limited thought are as clearly distinct as fragrance is distinct from foul smell, provided that one’s sense of smell is not congenitally defective or temporarily impaired. You may reflect and ponder over it as much as you wish, you will not find any flaw in this truth, nor find any chink in it, from any perspective. (Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya—Part III, p. 29-30)

#DailyHadith: Abu Huraira narrated that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing the fast should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting." The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times." (Bukhari)

#SpiritualTreasures: "The movements of the soul follow the movements of the body. If the body is drawn in a particular direction the soul automatically follows it. It is, therefore, a function of the Book of God to direct itself to the natural state of man: that is why the Holy Quran pays so much attention to the reform of the natural state of man and gives directions with regard to everyone of his actions, his laughing, weeping, eating, clothing, sleeping, speaking, keeping silent, marrying, remaining celibate, walking, standing still, outward cleanliness, bathing, submitting to a discipline in health and in illness etc. It affirms that man’s physical condition affects his spiritual condition deeply." (The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam, p. 15)

#DailyHadith: Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: My mercy excels My wrath. (Muslim)

#SpiritualTreasures: Elaborating on the word "scholar" in the Hadith, "The scholars of my community are like the Prophets of the Children of Israel", the Promised Messiah states: The Holy Quran describes true scholars in the following words: [Arabic] Meaning, the scholars from among the servants of Allah Almighty are those who fear Him [35:29]. Now, it is crucial to take note that those people who do not possess this quality of fear of God, and being in awe of Him, and who are not righteous, can never, in any way whatsoever, be worthy of this title. (Malfuzat – Volume II, p. 63)

#DailyHadith: Narrated Tarif Abi Tamima that I saw Safwan and Jundab and Safwan's companions when Jundab was advising. They said, "Did you hear something from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" Jundab said, "I heard him saying, 'Whoever does a good deed in order to show off, Allah will expose his intentions on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever puts the people into difficulties, Allah will put him into difficulties on the Day of Resurrection.'" The people said (to Jundab), "Advise us." He said, "The first thing of the human body to purify is the `Abdomen, so he who can eat nothing but good food (Halal and earned lawfully) should do so, and he who does as much as he can that nothing intervene between him and Paradise by not shedding even a handful of blood, should do so." (Bukhari)
