#SpiritualTreasures: Often a battle ensues between ostentation and forbearance. At times, in contradiction to the Book of Allah, man shows anger. Upon hearing abuse, his inner self becomes incensed. Righteousness demands that one ought to suppress their anger, as stated in the Quran: [Arabic] And when they pass by anything vain, they pass on with dignity (Quran, 25:73). (Malfuzat - Volume I, p. 22)
#DailyHadith: A'isha reported that Abu Bakr came to her and there were with her two girls during the Adha days who were singing and beating the tambourine and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had wrapped himself with his mantle. Abu Bakr scolded them. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) uncovered (his face) and said: Abu Bakr, leave them alone for these are the days of 'Id. (Muslim)
#SpiritualTreasures: Reflect only over the meaning of the insightful prayer, 'Guide us in the right path' [Quran, 1:6] taught in this chapter. This prayer possesses a fully-encompassing meaning, which is the key to all spiritual and worldly goals. (Noah's Ark, p. 95)
#DailyHadith: Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (ra) reported that The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Read the Qur'an regularly. By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, it escapes from memory faster than a camel does from its tying ropes." (Bukhari)
#SpiritualTreasures: All the things that a muttaqi must believe in by virtue of belief in the unseen were actually witnessed by the Holy Prophet in this very world. This verse [Quran, 17:73] indicates that although a muttaqi suffers from the pains of consciously forced effort, a salih enters an abode of security and enjoys the state of the soul at rest. A muttaqi remains in a state where they must have faith in the unseen, and blindly follows a course of action without knowing much, and believes in all spiritual matters by virtue of faith in the unseen. This is the very sincerity of a muttaqi and as a result of this sincerity, God Almighty promises that such a one shall prosper. [Arabic] It is they who shall prosper (Quran, 2:6). (Malfuzat - Volume I, p. 28)
#DailyHadith: Narrated Al-Miqdam: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Nobody has ever eaten a better meal than that which one has earned by working with one's own hands. The Prophet of Allah, David (as) used to eat from the earnings of his manual labor." (Bukhari)
#SpiritualTreasures: Truly this is the only channel for every blessing; namely, that the Almighty, the Cause of all causes, the Source of all grace, Who is called Allah in the idiom of the Holy Quran, may first be pleased to manifest His attribute of Rahmaniyyat, that is to say, to make available through His pure beneficence without the intervention of human effort, the wherewithal needed for human effort, and when the attribute of Rahmaniyyat has accomplished its function in perfect shape and full measure, and man, equipped by His grace with appropriate capacities has put forth his effort with due diligence, the Supreme God may next be pleased to manifest His attribute of Rahimiyyat by investing man's effort with the best results and saving his efforts from loss by granting him his objective. (Commentary on The Holy Quran Vol. 1 Surah Fatihah, p. 37-38)
#DailyHadith: Khaula bint Hakim Sulamiyya reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When any one of you stays at a place, he should say:" I seek refuge in the Perfect Word of Allah from the evil of that He created." Nothing would then do him any harm until he moves from that place. Abu Huraira reported that a person came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said:" Allah's Messenger, I was stung by a scorpion during the night. Thereupon he said: Had you recited these words in the evening:" I seek refuge in the Perfect Word of Allah from the evil of what He created," it would not have done any harm to you. (Muslim)
#SpiritualTreasures: The second means [by which Man attains his purpose of finding God] is to be informed of the perfect beauty of God Almighty; for the heart is naturally drawn to beauty, the observation of which generates love in the heart. God’s beauty is His Unity and His Greatness and His Majesty and His other attributes, as the Holy Quran has said: Say, ‘He is Allah, the One; Allah, the Independent and Besought of all. He begets not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him' (Quran, 112:2-5). (The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam, p. 162)
#DailyHadith: Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: I shall be pre-eminent amongst the descendants of Adam on the Day of Resurrection and I will be the first intercessor and the first whose intercession will be accepted (by Allah). (Muslim)
#SpiritualTreasures: Although I have prayed that I should not become an instrument for the promotion of idolatry, as happened with Jesus, Son of Mary - and I am sure God will not let this happen- God has informed me again and again that He will grant me great glory and will instil my love in people’s hearts. (Divine Manifestations, p. 24)
#DailyHadith: Narrated Aisha (ra) A lady along with her two daughters came to me asking (for some alms), but she found nothing with me except one date which I gave to her and she divided it between her two daughters, and did not eat anything herself, and then she got up and went away. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) came in and I informed him about this story. He said, "Whoever is put to trial by these daughters and he treats them generously (with benevolence) then these daughters will act as a shield for him from Hell-Fire." (Bukhari)
#SpiritualTreasures: In the current day, objections are raised against the veil. However, people do not realise that the Islamic veil is no prison. It is only a barrier which prevents the free mixing of men and women. The veil saves them from stumbling. A just-minded individual would appreciate that if non-mahram men and women were to mix without any hesitation and concern, and if they were to go about together, they would surely succumb to the flare of their inner-passions. It has often been heard and observed that certain people see no ill in a non-mahram man and woman remaining alone behind closed doors. Civilisation they call it. It is to counter these very adverse effects that the Founder of Islam has forbidden an individual altogether from approaching anything that may lead them to stumble. (Malfuzat - Volume I, p. 33)
#DailyHadith: It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that: the Messenger of Allah said, when mentioning charity and those who refrain from asking. "The upper hand is better than the lower hand; the upper hand is that which gives and the lower hand is that which asks." (Nasai)
#SpiritualTreasures: Thus, love is the fundamental basis of intercession when accompanied by a natural affinity; for without natural affinity, love can never reach the required height to fulfil the precondition for intercession. (The Honour of Prophets, p. 8)
#DailyHadith: The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) once asked: Which of you loves the property of his heir more than his own? The companions submitted: 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) there is none among us who loves his heir’s Property more than his own. He said ‘Then your real property is that which you send before you; and that which you retain belongs to your heir." (Bukhari)
#SpiritualTreasures: So, O readers! Ponder over this discourse honestly. Reflect over it with close attention, delving deep into it. Be on your guard and do not let any deceiver deceive you. Ask your hearts yourselves how much they desire the attainment of certainty. Can your own gloomy thoughts fully satisfy your hearts? Do your souls not desire that you attain the level of perfect certainty in this very world, and that you be delivered from blindness? Tell me honestly, do you not wish to remove your darkness and confusion, and to clear the doubts concealed within your bosoms, which you cannot even disclose? (Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya—Part IV, p. 162)
#DailyHadith: Narrated Salim's father, The Prophet (ﷺ) used to offer the Maghrib and `Isha' prayers together whenever he was in a hurry on a journey. (Bukhari)
#SpiritualTreasures: He [Allah] is undoubtedly capable of doing everything, but it has to be worthy of His Majesty and His Holiness. It should not go against His perfect attributes, nor contradict His true promises. (The Heavenly Decree, p. 7)
#DailyHadith: Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: How good is the believers meal of dates shortly before dawn. (Abu Dawud)
