"Now, thanks again to the glorious Christianity, we have a law in the Ten Commandments: you shall not steal, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife. These are commandments for a criminal colony. Decent people don't need to be told this. Back in the old, simpler days, when our ancestors supposedly lived on bearskins, if someone stole something, they were considered insane, they were ostracized, they were deemed sick, even if they had only stolen small things. It was only our glorious civilization and Christian culture that led us down this path, teaching us with countless paragraphs what we may and may not do. A whole science has developed around how to cheat our neighbor without getting punished. The sacred, unwritten law of the sanctity of property has been lost."

A anti-Christian book that argued Christianity is a foreign, Jewish-derived religion of "servitude" was officially reviewed by the Reichsstelle zur FΓΆrderung des deutschen Schrifttums as being true in contents:
"The Reich Office for the Promotion of German Literature reviewed it as follows: ... a clear, factual, and, what is of great value, universally understandable presentation of the inner essence of Christianity, without theological jargon. The author is right that most people are completely unfamiliar with Christianity, its faith. His attempt to stimulate reflection deserves success."
In the book Was der Christ vom Christentum nicht weiΓ, the author wrote:
"As everyone knows, there are peoples who worship the sun. There are also peoples who worship snakes. In between there were and still are peoples who worship countless different things, yes, who even worship insects and individual human body parts. Each according to his type and cognitive ability. So why shouldn't the Bible God also be considered the basis of faith? Nobody will fight it as such a basis per se. But let him remain in the land of those whose race and way of thinking he corresponds to, who can really imagine this God as he appears. May he remain with his chosen people Israel. He would save the Jews as much as he liked, but he would refrain from attempting this on the unsuitable object. The German thinks and feels differently than the Israelite. What the Jew likes, what is appropriate for him, repels the German. And although the Israelite may still like the Bible God, the German never liked him!"
"The God of the Old Testament is also the God of the New. He has already revealed himself in the Old Testament in such a way that he can only be rejected by people with a German sensibility."

Unlike in enemy territories like Poland or France, the NSDAP leadership chose not to destroy church buildings in mainland Germany solely to preserve the genealogical records of its citizens.
"The transfer of church remains to secure storage locations and facilities should not be left to the church authorities, but, due to the importance of the genealogical material and to ensure a uniform and proper handling of the matter, should be carried out by the state authorities, for which appropriate guidelines would have to be established. I request that a regulation of the matter be prepared urgently and that I be given the opportunity to comment on the draft. The Reich Ministers of the Interior and for Church Affairs have received a copy of this letter and its enclosures."
