RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THE NAME THAT RULES HEAVEN AND EARTH
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18).
When the Lord Jesus declared, “...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth,” He made a proclamation no earthly ruler could ever truthfully make. Throughout history, mighty empires arose with extraordinary influence and vast dominions.
The Pharaohs ruled with terrifying authority in Egypt. Nebuchadnezzar expanded Babylon’s greatness across nations. The Persians, the Greeks, and later the Romans each dominated the world in their time. Yet, every one of those empires eventually crumbled.
However, while Rome still stood in all its pride and “glory,” the Lord Jesus came on the scene with a higher dominion. This wasn’t merely political authority or earthly influence but absolute authority over all realms, visible and invisible, celestial and terrestrial. No emperor ever possessed that. No king ever ruled both heaven and earth. Only the Lord Jesus declared such authority.
This was why the disciples were so fiercely persecuted. They proclaimed another Kingdom while Caesar was still emperor. They preached a Name greater than Rome’s authority, and the rulers of that age couldn’t tolerate it. Yet, while they all faded away, the dominion of Christ continued increasingly unabated.
Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” His authority hasn’t diminished with time. His Name hasn’t weakened through the ages. The same Name that healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out devils, and shook nations in Bible days carries the same power today.
More wonderfully, He’s given us the power of attorney, the legal right and divine authority to act in His stead. When you speak in the Name of Jesus, you’re not uttering mere words; you’re exercising authority from the One who rules heaven and earth. Therefore, never be intimidated by earthly systems, oppositions, or circumstances.
Empires may rise and fall, governments may change, and human powers may fade, but the Name of the Lord Jesus remains eternally supreme. Use that Name with boldness. Use it to enforce His will in your world, for He rules over all, now and forever. Hallelujah!
Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, thank you for the authority vested in the Name of Jesus. I walk in boldness, victory and dominion today, conscious that I’ve been sent in His Name to establish your righteousness and your will in the earth. Even now, I declare in the Name of Jesus that circumstances are aligned with your perfect purpose for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pray-A-Thon 2026 - Mon Aug 31
Victory or defeat often begins with the thoughts you choose to dwell on. Learn more on how to control your thoughts in this Monday's Rhapsody.
Ephesians 1:15-23 (NIV) says, "For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
Pray earnestly in tongues of the Spirit and for Christians around the world, that they'll walk in the reality of these verses of Scripture.
Personally meditate on the Scriptures above for the next few days. God bless you.

STAY FULL OF THE SPIRIT
Acts 4:31
And when they had prayed, ...they were all filled with the Holy Spirit....
God wants His children to stay full of the Holy Spirit. When you pray in tongues, sing spiritual songs, and give thanks to God, your spirit becomes stronger.
The Bible says praying in tongues builds you up (Jude 1:20). It helps you become bold and full of joy. Just like eating healthy food makes your body strong, spending time praying and worshipping God strengthens your spirit.
You can do this anywhere---at home, in church, or while praying quietly. As you keep doing these things, the Holy Spirit fills your heart with courage, faith, and joy every day.
SCRIPTURE READING
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
SAY THIS
The Holy Spirit lives in me. I pray, sing, and give thanks, and my spirit is strong and full of joy. Hallelujah!

GRACE IS UPON YOU
(This Is Your Set Time For Promotion)
TO THE BIBLE - Psalm 75:6“For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another."
LET’S TALK
A seed, buried in the soil, may seem hidden and powerless, yet with the right conditions, it bursts forth, breaking through the ground toward the sunlight. Just as the seed is designed to grow and reach higher, God has designed your life for continual elevation. Stagnation isn’t in His plan for you.
Promotion, the Bible says, doesn’t come from the east, west, or south, but from God. The Lord delights in promoting His children; that is, taking them from one level to a higher level in every aspect of their lives. He detests stagnation and retrogression; that’s why He wants you to continually progress and move forward in life. The Bible says, “...the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). The remarkable thing about God’s promotion is that it defies human logic and amazes the natural mind.
As a young person, it’s important to understand that God’s grace is the power behind every step of advancement in your life. Even when circumstances seem challenging, whether in school, relationships, or personal goals, His grace is active, preparing you for higher levels of success.
Consider Joseph in the Bible. He was sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife, and imprisoned. Yet, the grace of God moved him from prison to becoming the Prime Minister of Egypt (Genesis 41:39-40). God can transform even difficult situations, which might seem disadvantageous, into the very avenues of your advancement because you’re His chosen child. Praise God!
GO DEEPER
Psalm 75:5-7 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. [6] For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. [7] But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Daniel 2:48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you for the power of promotion that is at work in me, which causes me to rise higher and higher everyday in every area of my life. I experience only the “upward and forward” movement in my life, heaping success upon success, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

YOU’RE NOT SUBJECT TO YOUR THOUGHTS
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6).
In the Christian life, you must learn to manage your thoughts. You must know what to do with the thoughts that come to your mind every day. Your victory or defeat often begins with the thoughts you choose to dwell on. That’s why the Spirit gives this instruction: “be careful for nothing.”
The word “careful” is translated from the Greek "merimnao", which means to take thought. It’s the same word the Lord Jesus used in Matthew 6:25 when He said, “… Take no thought for your life….” It tells you something very important—you don’t have to accept every thought that comes to you.
Thoughts come constantly. Even now, your mind is active. There’s a barrage of thoughts coming from different directions. It could be about your work, your family, something you heard, something you saw, etc. But you don’t have to “take” them. The moment you “take” a thought, you centre your mind on it. You begin to dwell on it, and as you do, it starts shaping your emotions and influencing your actions.
The wrong thoughts are distractions. They’re designed to pull your attention away, to create concern, anxiety, or unrest. That’s why the Word shows you the kind of thoughts to accept: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).
Don’t entertain troubling thoughts. Don’t ruminate on them or convert them into prayer points. Remember, you’re not subject to your thoughts; you’re the one who decides what thoughts to allow. It’s the reason for the renewing of the mind: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).
When your mind is stayed on, and renewed by the Word, it becomes sanctified to decipher and dwell only on the right thoughts. And when your thoughts are right, your words will be right, your life will be right, excellent and full of glory.
Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, I thank you for the discipline of the Spirit that works in me. I refuse to entertain wrong thoughts but rather align my mind with your Word. I respond to every situation with prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving, and I walk in peace and victory always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
