2	RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30 2026 JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1). One of the great blessings of the New Testament is our justification by faith. Under the Old Testament, they sought justification through the Law, but they didn’t get it. The Law could reveal sin, but it couldn’t justify man. But in the New Testament, we have been justified by the faith of Jesus Christ. What does it mean to be justified? It means acquittal, to be declared not guilty. In Christ Jesus, God declares you not guilty. You might ask, “But what happened to the offences or the sins I committed?” The answer is in the Scriptures. Romans 4:24-25 says the Lord Jesus was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. He who knew no sin was made sin for us: “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus took our place. He bore the judgment that was against us. Every charge that stood against humanity was laid on Him. But blessed be God, that wasn’t the end of the story. The Bible says He was raised again for our justification. His resurrection was the declaration that the demands of justice had been fully satisfied. God raised Him from the dead because the price had been paid in full. Our justification had been secured. This is why the Christian doesn’t struggle to attain righteousness through personal efforts or works of the Law. Righteousness has been granted to us in Christ Jesus. Now, we have peace with God. We’re at one with Him. No wonder the Bible says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus...” (Romans 8:1 NKJV). There’s no more separation, no more condemnation, no more uncertainty about your standing before the Father. You’ve been accepted in Christ. This is the life of rest and confidence that the Gospel brings. You’ve been acquitted by God Himself. As far as He’s concerned, you never sinned. Romans 3:21-26 (NIV) declares, “...the righteousness of God has been made known…This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe… and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus…He did this to demonstrate his righteousness…so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.” Walk in the boldness, liberty, and joy of this reality. Refuse to live under guilt, accusation, or a sense of unworthiness. The Lord Jesus was delivered because of your offences and raised again for your justification. Glory to His Name forever! Prayer / Confession Dear Father, thank you for the glorious reality of my justification by faith in Christ. I walk in the boldness, liberty and joy of the reality that I’ve been declared righteous and accepted in Christ Jesus. Thank you for the blessedness of my righteousness and right-standing with you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. 4	RHAPSODY OF REALITIES TEEVO PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME WEDNESDAY, 30TH SEPTEMBER 2026 ONLY BELIEVE (Cast Yourself On His Word) TO THE BIBLE - Matthew 9:28 “And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord.’“ LET’S TALK A man came to Jesus one day to ask the Master to heal his demon-possessed son. The man said to Jesus, “If You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us” (Mark 9:22b). The Master replied, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23). Finally, the man blurted out, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24)! He was trying to put the responsibility for his believing on Jesus, which shouldn’t be. The Lord, nonetheless, compassionately healed the boy. Many people are like that man today. They think that if they’re unbelieving, it’s up to God to help them believe, but it’s not so. The Bible says, “…with the heart one believes unto righteousness...” (Romans 10:10). You believe with your heart. This means that believing is a choice, which is entirely up to you; it’s your responsibility to believe. God isn’t the one to make you believe His Word. You’re the one to choose to believe His Word, and when you do, you’ll see His glory in your life (John 11:40). God is looking for someone who can believe! Every time He locates such a person, He does mighty things in his life. Abraham believed God and received a son in his old age. Moses believed God and led more than six million Jews through the midst of the Red Sea. He’s looking for those who can stake their lives on His Word. Make a choice today to believe; cast yourself on His Word, trusting that everything the Lord has said is true. Your dreams—whether it’s getting into the right school, acquiring a scholarship, or becoming who God has called you to be—are possible if only you can believe. Praise God! GO DEEPER John 11:40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. PRAY Dear Father, thank you for giving me a heart that can believe. My hope and my faith rest completely in your Word, because it’s the only sure foundation. I believe that everything your Word has said concerning me is true, dependable, and sure, and I cast myself wholly upon your Word, knowing that my future is secure in you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. 6	╔════════════════╗ RHAPSODY OF REALITIES FOR EARLY READERS ╚════════════════╝ WEDNESDAY, 30TH SEPTEMBER 2026 REFUSE TO COMPROMISE Hebrews 10:39 CEV We are not like those people who turn back and get destroyed. We will keep on having faith... To compromise means to settle for something or to do something you didn’t plan to do. The Bible says that in the last days, some people will choose to do wrong and ignore God’s Word because others are doing it (2 Timothy 3:1–5). That’s why it’s important for you to always stand for what is right. Sometimes, others may try to make you follow the crowd or do something you know isn’t good. As God’s child, always stand for what is right. Choose to do His Word, and do what pleases Him. A good example is Daniel in the Bible. Even when others around him did wrong, he chose to obey God and did not compromise (Daniel 1:8). Like, Daniel, always stand for what is right, and let God’s Word guide your choices. SCRIPTURE READING Colossians 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; LET'S PRAY Dear loving Father, thank you for your Word in me. 16	╔════════════════╗ RHAPSODY OF REALITIES FOR EARLY READERS ╚════════════════╝ TUESDAY, 29TH SEPTEMBER 2026 YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME Joel 2:25 So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten… Sometimes you may feel like there isn’t enough time to finish your homework or complete a task. But God says He can restore lost time (Joel 2:25). That means He can make up for anything that seems wasted. So, don’t panic or complain about time. When people panic, they act in fear. But fear isn’t from God. The Bible tells us how Elijah outran horses because God helped him (1 Kings 18:46). Philip was also taken by the Spirit to another city (Acts 8:39–40). Isn’t that wonderful? Always remember, you’re not ordinary. God lives in you. So, speak faith-filled words and always declare to yourself, “I have enough time to do all that God wants me to do.” Hallelujah! (Stand Firm With The Whole Armour Of God) TO THE BIBLE - Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” LET’S TALK In our fight of faith, the Bible says, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). This means your real battles aren’t with people—like classmates, friends, or family—but spiritual forces working behind the scenes. That’s why we’re then enjoined to put on the whole armour of God. Now, did you notice the Scripture doesn’t say, “Pray that God would put the armour on you”? It says you’re the one to put it on. So, it’s no use praying and crying to God to protect you from the wiles of the devil; He’s told you what to do: put on the armour of God. Also, the Scripture emphasises that you should put on the WHOLE armour of God, not just some of it. Another version says, “Put on the complete armor of God...” (WNT). I like the word “complete”. You’ve got to make sure that you don’t leave any part of that armour out. So, it’s up to you to have your loins covered with truth, righteousness as your breastplate, to have on your feet the Gospel of peace, the helmet of salvation, and then the one he says you should put on above all the others is the shield of faith. Just like you wouldn’t go to school without everything you need for the day, you shouldn’t face life without every piece of God’s armour. We’ve been given a shield to extinguish all the fiery darts of the devil. Those fiery darts can show up as fear, insecurity, peer pressure, or thoughts that tell you you’re not good enough. The armour of God is available to you today, but you have to make a conscious choice to put it on. God isn’t going to put it on for you, no matter how much you pray and fast for Him to. You decide daily to stand for truth, choose faith over fear, and live right, even when it’s not popular. Stand firmly with your whole armour on as a good soldier of Christ. And remember, as you put it on, make sure you keep it on at all times; don’t ever take it off! GO DEEPER 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. [7] For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. [8] But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. Ephesians 6:13 (GNB) So put on God's armour now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy's attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground. SPEAK I put on the whole armour of God and stand firm as a good soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have truth as my belt, righteousness as my breastplate, my feet ever about the spread of the Gospel of peace, the helmet of salvation and faith as my shield. I’m fully equipped to extinguish all the fiery darts of the devil and render all his stratagems futile and empty. Amen. TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 29 2026 HE NEVER LEAVES YOU And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever (John 14:16). In the New Testament, we don’t ask the Lord to be with us, or pray and fast so He never leaves us. We know He’s with us and in us because He said so. Christianity is the living reality of Christ in you and with you always, not sometimes or only when you feel spiritual, but always. Many try to judge God’s presence by their emotions. They say, “I feel like God is with me,” or “I don’t feel His presence anymore.” But your feelings don’t determine His presence; His Word does. He said, “…I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen” (Matthew 28:20 NKJV). When He said this to His disciples, they hadn’t been born again. Today, the Holy Spirit isn’t just with you but in you always—when you feel it and when you don’t. The Lord Jesus said, “…he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:17). Now that you’re born again and have received the Holy Spirit, you’ve become inseparably one with Him, mingled with Him in oneness: “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). Therefore, His presence isn’t sustained by your emotions; it’s established by His truth. Being ignorant of this is the reason some have taught that when a Christian sins, fellowship with God is broken and the Holy Spirit withdraws from that person until repentance is made. But think about it: if the Holy Spirit truly left you, how would you ever come back? Who would guide and restore you? The very fact that a Christian is corrected by the Holy Spirit and guided back into the light of God’s Word proves that the Holy Spirit never departed. This doesn’t mean sin is permissible; rather, it means the Holy Spirit doesn’t abandon God’s children. The Lord Jesus didn’t say He would be with you only when you “perform” right. That’s the power and glory of the New Testament relationship we have with the Father. The Holy Spirit is your ever-present helper, teacher, guide and comforter. Without Him, you can’t live the true Christian life. He’s the One who causes the Word to come alive in your spirit and helps you walk in righteousness. Therefore, cultivate the consciousness of His constant presence in you and with you. Walk every day with the assurance that you’re never alone. Praise God! Prayer / Confession Dear Father, thank you for the blessed Holy Spirit who lives in me and abides with me forever. I walk in the consciousness of His indwelling presence, yielded to His guidance and His wisdom that mantles my heart. I’m guided, strengthened, corrected and empowered by the Spirit to live triumphantly today, bringing glory to you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
