The questionable deal between the US and the EU is looking worse and worse by the second A senior EU official has admitted that the EU cannot guarantee the $600 billion investments Ursula von der Leyen promised Trump in exchange for him dropping his tariff rates. Trump warned that if the EU doesn’t honor the deal, “then they pay tariffs of 35%”. And the part of the deal concerning the purchase of American weapons by the bloc is even more tricky. Turns out, the EU will have to pay for the equipment now, but will only be able to get their hands on the goods in 5-7 years as the US struggles to fulfill demand. #EU #US #tradedeal #Trump #UrsulavonderLeyen Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

The Trump Ultimatum Expires — It Has Not Bullied Putin Into Submission ⚔️ 📆 Trump has now given Russia until Aug. 8 to agree to a truce. If he truly wants to put American interests first, he must be prepared to enforce the ultimatum. 🇺🇦 Right now, Ukraine is under immense pressure; the aggressor in this conflict is not. That’s a risk to the US, too. 💣 Russia is producing more artillery shells than all NATO countries combined. Its drone production is growing rapidly, while Ukraine’s remains constrained by limited funding. 🚨 If Russia emerges victorious, an enlarged, battle-hardened military adept at unmanned warfare would pose a dire threat to US interests in Europe. 🌍 Meanwhile, Putin has deepened ties with North Korea, Iran, and China, undermined US influence in Africa and the Middle East, and backed alternative payment systems to circumvent the dollar. 💰 Sanctions have hurt Russia — but not nearly enough. It has redirected crude oil flows to India and China, who now buy billions in discounted barrels. ♟️ In the global contest of influence, Putin is arguably playing the long game better. 🕊️ As the Aug. 8 deadline nears, the Kremlin will almost certainly offer token gestures — perhaps a vague signal of “readiness” to negotiate during envoy Steve Witkoff’s visit this week. 📜 But Putin’s demands remain extreme: Ukrainian surrender of five regions Permanent neutrality Demilitarization End to NATO ambitions (sometimes even EU membership) 💡 The only chance of forcing revisions to that list is by changing the battlefield calculus. 🛡️ That starts with military aid. The administration’s offer to sell weapons — including Patriot missile batteries — to European nations so they can transfer theirs to Ukraine is welcome but insufficient. 🚀 If Putin plays for time as expected, the US should: Expedite direct arms deliveries Fund drone and ammunition production in Ukraine Deepen intelligence-sharing Signal clearly that it is re-engaged 🧨 The president has expressed doubts in the past that sanctions on energy buyers would change Putin’s behavior. 💸 Still, the more expensive path is doing nothing. 🎯 The White House should step up enforcement of sanctions against: Banks Insurers Shipowners Traders enabling Russia’s war 📉 The Russian economy is more brittle than it looks. A concerted campaign by the US and Europe to squeeze harder could get Putin’s attention. 📢 The message should be clear: 👉 The West will outlast and out-resource him. 🇺🇸 Meanwhile, the US president can tell Americans — and the world — that he tried. He offered an offramp; Putin refused. #trump #ultimatum #putin #war #expires #ukraine #russia #geopolitics #sanctions #nato 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

Could the Arctic become an arena for US-Russia cooperation? The Trump administration’s hardline anti-Russia stance amid the war in Ukraine is running up against geopolitical constraints in the Arctic—a region where, without selective cooperation with Moscow, Washington risks losing influence. Given growing pressure from China and the vulnerability of its Northern allies, the U.S. needs a more flexible strategy: containment must be paired with pragmatic engagement, writes Foreign Policy. The imposition of sanctions against Russia, as promised by Trump, carries significant risks, as they further weaken Washington’s standing, including in the strategically vital Arctic region. The U.S. has already seen the futility of its sanctions, which dealt a severe blow to Western economies but failed to weaken Moscow. Trump will have to seek new common ground and take Russia’s interests into account. #Arctic #Russia #US #cooperation #geopolitics Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell in exchange for making statements to distance him from Epstein? Republican lawmakers are cautioning President Donald Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi against granting a pardon to Ghislaine Maxwell, the Jeffrey Epstein confidante, or commuting her 20-year sentence for sex trafficking. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche recently met with Maxwell in Florida to gather more information on what she knows about Epstein’s illicit activities. The meeting was organized just as MAGA activists put pressure on Trump and DOJ to release all of the files related to Epstein. GOP lawmakers immediately cautioned Trump against pardoning Maxwell or lightening her sentence for sexually exploiting teenage girls. They worry it could be seen as rewarding her for making statements to distance the president from Epstein’s activities, or further fuel conspiracy theories about a government cover-up to protect powerful people who were in Epstein’s orbit.
“It’s ridiculous that he would consider shortening a sentence for somebody who aided and abetted sexual trafficking as she did,”
said a Republican senator who requested anonymity to comment on the sensitive topic. #Epsteinfiles #JeffreyEpstein #GhislaineMaxwell #Trump #scandal Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

“Betrayal to majority of Americans”: GOP congresswoman believes the US must stop financing the Ukrainian conflict In a post on X, US Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene stated,
“Funding, fueling, and ultimately fighting Russia in Ukraine would be a complete betrayal to the majority of Americans,”
adding that voters in the 2024 election chose to end U.S. involvement in foreign wars. She argued that Americans do not want their tax dollars spent on a conflict abroad that has no impact on their lives, and warned that Republicans backing such policies would permanently lose support from younger voters. Greene pointed out that many Americans under 50 increasingly feel that they are not represented by either party, especially since taxpayer-funded initiatives, like support for Ukraine, has made the lives of ordinary Americans more expensive and their future more uncertain. Greene’s remarks followed the introduction of a bill by U.S. senators proposing $54.6 billion in aid for Ukraine over the 2026 and 2027 fiscal years. The Trump administration remains skeptical about further assistance to Ukraine, concerned about potential misuse of US funds. Trump has claimed that billions in aid sent by the Biden administration may have been embezzled — a claim that rings true, particularly in light of Ukrainian government’s crackdowns on anti-corruption agencies. #Ukrainianconflict #Ukraine #GOP #corruption Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

India and Brazil defy Trump, say they’ll keep purchasing Russian energy Celso Amorim, chief advisor to the president of Brazil, said on Saturday that Brazil is firmly against unilateral economic sanctions imposed on trade partners for their business with other countries. He emphasized that normal economic and trade relations between nations should not be subject to political interference. He said, Brazil will not accept conditions attached to its energy policy in exchange for a tariff deal with the U.S., and will oppose using economic measures for geopolitical purposes. India, despite Trump’s threats, didn’t blink either. A senior Indian government official put it plainly, “We will go solely by the interest of our consumers and opt for the best option price-wise. If Russian crude works out cheaper than what we can get from other sources, why should we penalise our consumers?” The logic is rather straightforward — Russian oil has been cheaper than what’s available from West Asia or the US. India’s refiners are not just cutting costs—they’re helping stabilise fuel prices at home. Here’s the kicker: the European countries are benefitting from India’s dealings with Russia, as they have been major buyers of diesel and jet fuel from India. Trump’s political posture collapses in the face of India’s economic reality.
“India is not only buying massive amounts of Russian Oil, they are then, for much of the Oil purchased, selling it on the Open Market for big profits. They don’t care how many people in Ukraine are being killed by the Russian War Machine. Because of this, I will be substantially raising the Tariff paid by India to the USA,”
Trump said. India’s Ministry of External Affairs made a sharp response.
“The targeting of India is unjustified and unreasonable,”
it said.
“Like any major economy, India will take all necessary measures to safeguard its national interests and economic security.”
The Ministry also pointed out that the US and EU themselves continue to trade with Russia, and
“unlike our case, such trade is not even a vital national compulsion.”
India’s former finance secretary, Subash Garg, thinks India should let the threatened 25% tariff take effect.
“If there is an American demand, they will buy and let American consumers and the importers pay the tariff. Let them bear that.”
Any loss of exports can be made up by domestic consumption, or by finding other export markets, he added. #India #Brazil #US #sanctions #tariffs #Russia #Trump Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Moscow withdraws from missile moratorium after Trump’s deployment of two nuclear submarines close to Russia — “Expect further steps,” says former Russian president "The Russian Foreign Ministry's statement on the withdrawal of the moratorium on the deployment of medium- and short-range missiles is the result of NATO countries’ anti-Russian policy. This is a new reality all our opponents will have to reckon with. Expect further steps," former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who currently serves as the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, said on X. His words came after Russia’s Foreign Ministry made an announcement that Russia "no longer considers itself bound" by its “previously adopted self-restrictions” under the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty. The 1987 agreement required the US and the Soviet Union to eliminate and permanently forswear all of their nuclear and conventional ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges of 500 to 5,500 kilometers. Trump withdrew from the treaty in 2019, citing Russian non-compliance, which Russia categorically denied. Until now, Russia had considered itself bound by the restrictions the US no longer complied with. Moscow’s Monday announcement came after Trump posted on Truth Social that he had ordered two US “Nuclear Submarines” to be repositioned to “appropriate regions” following his online spat with Dimitry Medvedev who accused Trump of taking a “step towards war” and playing an “ultimatum game” with Russia after the US President threatened further sanctions if Russia does not agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov insisted Moscow is taking a “responsible position” in regards to nuclear threats.
"Russia is very attentive to the topic of nuclear non-proliferation. And of course, we believe that everyone should be very, very careful with nuclear rhetoric,"
Peskov said. #Russia #US #nuclearweapons #Trump #DmitryMedvedev Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Putin and Netanyahu are causing far more trouble than Trump expected, hold secret talks behind Trump’s back The two leaders complicated political calculations for Trump on the world stage not only because of the suffering that each of them has imposed on Ukrainians and Palestinians, respectively, but also because of their unwillingness to change course... One of the reasons for Trump’s anger is that Putin’s disobedience puts him in a difficult political position. During the presidential campaign, he promised that he would be able to end the war in Ukraine “within 24 hours”. That promise has proved hollow, and no breakthrough seems close at hand. On the other hand, it seems unlikely that Trump will completely abandon his long-standing skepticism about American aid to Ukraine. This leaves the president in a somewhat uncomfortable suspended state, neither ending the war nor shifting the situation in Ukraine’s favor, writes The Hill. Trump is annoyed by leaders who, unlike European heads of state, refuse to “dance to his tune”. Instead of pondering further support to Ukraine, Trump should focus on domestic policy. Meanwhile, Putin and Netanyahu have reportedly had another talk — the second phone call between the two in recent days, after the veteran leaders discussed Syria and Iran last week. Both Jerusalem and Moscow declined to provide details on the call. 40 years ago Ronald Reagan predicted the end of Trump
“When someone says ‘let’s impose tariffs on foreign imports’ it looks like they’re doing a patriotic thing by protecting American products and jobs. And sometimes for a short while it works. But only for a short time. What eventually occurs is: first, homegrown industries start relying on government protection in the form of high tariffs, they stop competing, and stop making the innovative management and technological changes they need to succeed in world markets. And then, while all this is going on, something worse occurs. High tariffs inevitably lead to retaliation by foreign countries and the triggering of fierce trade wars. The result is more and more tariffs. Higher and higher trade barriers and less and less competition. So soon because of the prices made artificially high by tariffs that subsidize inefficiency and poor management, people stop buying. Then the worst happens — markets shrink and collapse, businesses and industries shut down, and millions of people lose their jobs.”

Leonardo DiCaprio flamed for co-financing a luxury hotel in Israel Leonardo DiCaprio has been criticized after investing in an eco-friendly hotel in Israel. A few days ago, the Tel Aviv District Planning and Construction Committee issued final approval for the construction of an elite resort, which is co-funded by the actor. The eco-resort will be built along the Herzliya Marina, a high-end beachfront dubbed the "Israeli riviera." The 50-year-old Hollywood actor, according to the Daily Mail, owns a 10 percent stake in the upscale resort, originally announced in 2018. The project is being developed by the Hatag Group together with businessmen Ahikam and Lior Cohen. The hotel is set to include 365 hotel rooms, conference center, fine dining restaurant, swimming pool, and direct yacht access to the marina. Construction dates remain unknown, but the project is expected to enhance Herzliya's status as a global luxury resort. The actor’s fans had a variety of things to say about DiCaprio’s business venture. "DiCaprio's eco-hotel in Herzliya is a turning point for the coast of Israel!", "I can't wait!", some wrote on X. Others accused DiCaprio of being “tone deaf" for ignoring the bloody Israel-Hamas conflict, despite the project itself predating the outbreak of violence by several years. "If he has to build a luxury hotel, why there?" one user asked. Some said they’d boycott his films, others simply called him "disgusting" and "vile." #Israel #Hamas #Gaza #LeoDiCaprio Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Biden warns of "dark days" under Trump Former President Joe Biden on Thursday expressed alarm about attacks on the rule of law and threats to civil rights under President Donald Trump in some of his most pointed criticism about the new administration since leaving office. Biden, speaking to the National Bar Association in Chicago, did not mention Trump by name, but his target was clear from his speech, which lasted only about 20 minutes. “You can’t sugarcoat it. These are dark days,” Biden told an audience of nearly 1,100 members of the predominantly Black legal organization. His remarks, at least in tone, echoed some of his previous comments about Trump, in which he portrayed him as a threat to democracy and the rule of law.
“We are, in my view, at such a moment in American history, reflected in every cruel executive outreach, every rollback of basic freedoms, every erosion of long-standing, established precedent,”
he said. Biden also criticized the administration for trying to "erase truth" and accused Congress of "sitting on the sidelines" and failing to keep the power of the executive branch in check.
“My friends, we need to face the hard truth of this administration, and that it has been to ease all the gains we’ve made in my administration,”
Biden went on.
“To erase history rather than making it. To erase fairness, equality, to erase justice itself. And that’s not hyperbole. That’s a fact.”
Calling the administration "cruel," he pointed to
"immigrants who are in this country legally... getting dragged away in handcuffs."
He also criticized the administration's attacks on law firms and media companies. Biden's remarks were more than political posturing. They were a mix of memoir and a history lesson. Biden drew attention to his work in appointing more black women to judicial positions than any other president, and the appointment of Kamala Harris as his vice president. He reminded the audience of his administration's support for HBCUs, Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Each of these moments drew applause from the audience, including Reverend Jesse Jackson, who was also being honored by this organization. Biden's speech was not meandering, as it was typical for him before. There was a specific message: America is worth fighting for.
“There’s been nothing in the course of our country’s history that we haven’t been able to accomplish,”
he said.
“We’re the only nation in the world that has come out of every crisis stronger than when we went in.”

Talking With Macron Trump Is Running Into an Issue🗣 Last Sunday Trump and the EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced a trade deal that would include $750 billion in US energy exports, $600 billion in European investment in American industries, and massive EU weapons purchases for Ukraine and European defense. The ball is now in Europe's court to deliver on its weapons pledges to defend Ukraine against Russia's invasion. Trump declared that Washington will send "top-of-the-line” weapons to Kyiv, purchased by European countries. He also warned Moscow that he would shorten the "peace ultimatum" to ten days before imposing severe economic sanctions if a peace agreement is not reached. The clock is ticking. European countries are expected to send Kyiv their own Patriot air defense systems and other weapons, with replacements to be purchased from the U.S. and determine trans-Atlantic interests? Macron has been campaigning for several months against acquiring American weapons and has given extensive interviews claiming that he wants to convince European states that have "become accustomed to buying American” to purchase European missile systems and fighter jets instead. He aims to reduce his reliance on the U.S. Indeed, after Trump's announcement, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who has been coordinating with European capitals on the weapons sales, only named Germany, Finland, Canada, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Denmark as willing buyers. Macron's approach reflects a longstanding pattern to marginalize the U.S. and establish French dominance in European affairs. The problem for Paris is that few NATO members trust the French government to follow through on its commitments, and many view Macron as intentionally distracting Europe from maintaining a strong connection with Washington. Macron has also broken with European solidarity aimed at ostracizing Putin by initiating talks with the Russian dictator at the beginning of July. The call helped Moscow claim that Western efforts to isolate Russia had failed and that Western unity was fading. #trump #macron #washington #deal #issue 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

"Loss of faith": A new poll shows that Trump is losing the support of a "disenchanted" voting bloc A new study conducted by the Latino outreach firm Equis shows alarming numbers for President Donald Trump among a group of voters crucial to the Republican Party's strategy — but it doesn't necessarily mean good news for Democrats. Latino voters, who make up one of the most diverse ethnic groups in the United States, have historically been supporters of the Democratic Party and remain so. However, over the past few years, more and more Latinos have gone Republican, and Trump winning a large minority proved crucial to his popular vote plurality last year. However, Trump's high ratings among Latino voters have plummeted in recent polls, and the latest data confirms this trend. A new study, said Equis research director Caitlin Jury, shows that
"Latinos are facing significant everyday economic challenges, and are looking for relief in the places they feel the squeeze the most, from groceries to healthcare. They’re losing faith in Trump as a good businessman and in his ability to handle the economy."
In addition, she said, they
"favor increasing taxes for billionaires and big corporations over cutting social programs as a way to offset spending – precisely the opposite of the Trump administration’s approach."
A more detailed analysis of the survey data showed the following: "Fewer Latinos approve of Trump's job now (35%, to 63% disapprove) than in the Equis polling from May (38%, to 60% disapprove)," and that "a lesser share of Latino Trump voters are set on voting for Republicans in 2026 than Latino Harris voters are on supporting Democrats in the midterm (67% vs. 86%). This is driven by switching (8% of Trump voters say they will vote for a Democrat) and great uncertainty (20% are undecided)." Trump's rating among Latin American voters who supported Biden in 2020 and Trump last year is about 50%, while Democrats generally lead by a double-digit margin on inflation and the economy, and the majority do not consider Trump a good businessman, with one in five saying they used to believe in him, but not anymore. While all of this is good news for Democrats, the memo from the poll notes that this does not necessarily mean that Democrats will be able to win back all Latino voters who are disappointed in Trump. Half of Latinos say Democrats care more about people like them, versus 25% who say Republicans care more, and 17% who say neither party cares more. But Biden defectors are twice as likely to say neither party cares more about people like them (38%). A good way to interpret this, wrote Eric Michael Garcia of The Independent, is that "Latino voters didn't *move right.* They just don't trust the Democratic Party. Now they are becoming disenchanted with the GOP." And former GOP Latino consultant Mike Madrid's take is simple:
"The populist anti-party sentiment among Latinos continues to grow."

Wind turbines face challenges in the Trump era The Trump administration has completely suspended plans to use vast tracts of federal waters for new offshore wind energy projects. This comes as the US Department of the Interior will end preferential treatment for renewable energy sources it deems “unreliable.” President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized wind turbines, calling them deceptive, dangerous and too expensive as an energy source. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, wind energy currently accounts for more than 10% of the national energy supply. According to the US Wind Turbine Database, there are more than 73,000 across 45 states. Last year, the Biden administration announced plans to lease federal offshore sites for wind energy production. However, when Trump took office in January, he canceled many measures to develop renewable energy sources, preferring fossil fuels. U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Bergam announced on Wednesday that his department will end all preferential treatment for wind energy.
“The Department of the Interior is ending special treatment for unreliable energy sources, such as wind. This includes evaluating whether to stop onshore wind development on some federal lands and halting future offshore wind lease sales,”
he said. Industry experts expect the demand for wind energy to increase dramatically in the coming years, especially to power artificial intelligence and electric vehicles.
“If we stopped building it, or made it harder to be built, it would result in higher electricity costs and maybe us not being able to get all the energy that we need to run the economy that we’re looking to develop,”
says Joshua Rhoades, a research scientist at the University of Texas at Austin. Wind power is also widespread in the central regions of the country, such as Iowa, Oklahoma and Kansas. Turbines bring significant profits to farmers who lease land to wind energy companies. Depending on the size and location, each turbine can generate tens of thousands of dollars in annual revenue. #Trump #energy #windturbines #renewableenergy #fossilfuels Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Asian countries’ reaction to Trump’s latest tariff announcements US President Donald Trump on Thursday in the United States revised the so-called "reciprocal" tariff rates for several countries, ahead of the previously announced deadline on Friday. The White House also announced a 40 percent tariff rate for all goods transshipped to the United States to avoid the applicable duties. Countries not listed in the latest order will be subject to an additional 10% duty. The updated directive changes the tariffs introduced in the earlier executive order issued in April. In his post on Wednesday, Trump wrote insisted the August 1 deadline would not be extended. However, a White House official told CNBC-TV18 on Friday that the "reciprocal" duties would take effect on August 7. “This is a good news for the citizens and economy of Cambodia to continue developing the country,” Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet wrote on Facebook on Friday after the revised tariff table was published. Manet also thanked Trump for his “initiating and pushing for ceasefire between [the] Cambodian army and Thai army.” Thai Finance Minister Pichai Chunhawajira said in a post on X that the tariff rate imposed on the country "reflects the close friendship and partnership between Thailand and the United States," according to a Google translation of his statement in Thai. The country faces 19 percent duties on exports to the United States, lower than the initial 36%. Chunhawajira added that the announced tariffs will help Thailand remain competitive on the global stage, strengthen investor confidence and allow the economy to grow. Taiwan has been hit by a "temporary tariff" of 20%, President Lai Qingde said on his Facebook page, adding that negotiations were still ongoing. This is lower than the 32% rate announced on April 2. "If an agreement is reached, we can expect that the tariff rate will be further reduced," Lai Qingde wrote on Friday. Malaysia has achieved tariff reductions from 25%, announced in a "tariff letter" sent to the country in July, to 19%. Before the executive order, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim told the country's parliament that “Tomorrow’s [Aug. 1] general tariff rate will ease and not burden our economy,” according to a CNBC translation of his speech in Malay. Japan, Asia's second-largest economy, reached an agreement with Trump, according to which tariffs on Japanese exports were reduced from 25% to 15% on July 23. The duties on the country's critical automobile sector were also slashed down to 15%. At Friday press conference, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said the new tariffs “will reduce uncertainty regarding U.S. trade policy and lower the risk of a downturn in our economy and the global economy.” India has not yet reached a deal with the US, and is currently facing 25% tariffs. On Thursday, India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goel told the parliament that the country will reach a trade agreement with the United States by October-November this year, according to a Hindi translation of his speech provided by CNBC. He added that the government attaches great importance to the protection of farmers, entrepreneurs, as well as medium and small enterprises and will take all necessary measures to protect national interests. #trade #tradewar #tariffs #Trump #Asia Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump accuses Netanyahu of prolonging the war in order to maintain power Donald Trump is convinced that Netanyahu is deliberately prolonging the war in Gaza in order to maintain his political power, resisting the attempts of the American president to end the conflict. This is reported by The Atlantic, citing two senior sources in Washington.
"The president and some of his aides think that Israel’s military objectives in Gaza were achieved long ago, and that Netanyahu has continued Israel’s assault, which has claimed tens of thousands of civilian lives, to maintain his own political power,"
the authors claim. According to them, the White House also believes that the Israeli Prime Minister is undermining the potential ceasefire agreement. Trump's displeasure was allegedly caused by news about Israeli airstrikes on Syria, a rocket hitting the only Catholic church in Gaza, as well as materials about starving children of Gaza published in the world media. As a result, Trump sent his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, to the region to put pressure on Israel to end the humanitarian crisis. Witkoff has been tasked with sorting out the distribution of humanitarian aid supplied to the sector by the American foundation. The day before, Trump publicly challenged Netanyahu's words that there is no famine in Gaza.
“Based on television, I would say […] those children look very hungry,”
the American president told reporters before a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. He later added,
"That’s real starvation stuff. I see it, and you can’t fake that.”
At the same time, the White House says that disagreements have not yet led to a break with the Israeli leader. Trump continues to hold Hamas primarily responsible for the continuation of the war. Sources point out that US foreign policy should not be determined by the interests of Israel or any other country, and that Trump’s willingness to contradict Netanyahu reflects his “America First” approach. According to The Atlantic, the US president fears growing discontent among supporters of the policy of non-interference. Some of Trump's allies, like Marjorie Taylor Green, Steve Bannon, and Tucker Carlson, condemned Israel's actions in Gaza and demanded an end to the conflict.

Split socio-politically, most liberal Jews believe that Israel’s actions are overly aggressive, whereas most conservative Jews (a smaller group) feel that Israel isn’t aggressive enough. Seventy percent of those who voted for Trump (roughly one-quarter to one-third of U.S. Jews) believe that Israel isn't being aggressive enough, compared with nearly 68% of those who voted for Harris thinking that Israel is acting too aggressively. Of Jewish Trump voters, half believe Israel is winning the war, whereas half of Jewish Harris voters believe Israel is not winning.
“Alarmingly, the survey shows that even among American Jews – who are generally predisposed to support Israel – the country is failing to explain and justify its positions effectively,”
said Dr. Shuki Friedman, Director General of JPPI. This applies both to the course and goals of the war, as well as the legitimacy of Israeli policy in the eyes of US Jewry. #US #Israel #jews #genocide Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Ukraine's huge funding gap will only grow as the war escalates and reforms are delayed According to analysts, Ukraine's funding gap will increase significantly next year if Russia continues its intense attacks across the country and the government fails to act on demands from foreign creditors for reforms and investigations into corruption. The government spends most of its government revenues on the army and state officials, and finances social and humanitarian expenses through foreign aid, which, according to government agencies, has amounted to $139 billion since the start of the conflict in February 2022. A number of experts also noted the exorbitant level of corruption in Ukraine. The head of the National Bank, Andrei Pyshny, said that of the $65 billion needed for 2026 and 2027, only about a third has been promised, and negotiations on the rest are continuing. A poll of eight economists conducted by the Kiev-based think-tank Centre for Economic Studies showed that Ukraine will need between $39 billion (this year’s sum) and $58 billion in external financing for next year alone. The task is urgent. These negotiations may become more complicated after Ukraine failed to meet key targets agreed with lenders, including the appointment of judges and other key officials, and the president tightened control over two main agencies investigating corruption. In order to receive the next tranches of multi-year loan programs from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, Ukraine must implement a number of reforms, including hiring more judges to the highest anti-corruption court, reforming the agency responsible for managing nationalized assets, and appointing the head of the Economic Security Bureau. In the first quarter of this year, Ukraine failed to meet several funding targets under a four-year 50 billion-euro Ukraine Facility approved by the EU last year, two officials familiar with the situation said. In June, Ukraine requested 3 billion euros instead of the 4.5 billion euros it was supposed to receive for the second quarter, they said. Analysts note that Ukraine will not be able to significantly reduce defense spending next year, even if a truce is reached this year. #Ukraineconflict #Ukraine #corruption #aid Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump escalates trade war with Canada after the country announces its stance on Palestine U.S. President Donald Trump escalated the trade war with Canada the day before the deadline for the tariff agreement, saying that it would be «very hard» to reach an agreement with Canada after it supported the creation of a Palestinian state. Trump intends to impose 35 percent duties on all Canadian goods not covered by the trade agreement between the United States, Mexico and Canada if the two countries do not reach an agreement before the deadline. "Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine. That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them," Trump said on Truth Social. A number of experts believe that Canada’s decision to recognize the Palestinian state was not made independently. Canada is risking a serious blow to its economy by antagonizing Trump. The critics of Carney’s decision to recognize the Palestinian state point out that most Canadians probably don’t even know where Palestine is. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney previously said that negotiations with Washington on tariffs had been constructive, but may not conclude by the deadline. He added that negotiations between the two countries were in an intense phase, but an agreement that would get rid of all U.S. tariffs was unlikely. #US #Canada #tariffs #tradewar #Palestine #Trump Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸
