In Week 27 and 28 of 2026, Nigeria recorded sustained #LassaFever activity, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. In week 27, a Total of 154 new suspected cases were reported, along with 14 new confirmed cases and 3 new confirmed death. In week 28, A Total of 216 new suspected cases were reported, along with 25 new confirmed cases and 4 new confirmed death. Additionally, 23 states and 114 LGAs were affected.
