And before you head spins on creation myths I think they apply to that particular people. Odin, Vili, and Vé for the Germanic people, Prometheus for the Greco-Romans, Atum for Egyptians, Nasadiya Sukta for Vedic, etc. This is the Folkish view and a respectful one that maintains the integrity of each myth rather than deducing it to “The One” or whatever.

Question for Pagans: If we are polytheist why do you feel the need to syncretize? I’m omitting the obvious Mercury/Hermes Wotan/Woden that’s not what I mean. I mean saying Zeus is the same as Thor and the like even though they have different myths and personality. Polytheists shouldn’t have an issue acknowledging that there can be other Gods from Pantheons not in your own.

I don’t know why people are scared of ghosts sure it can be startling but I don’t think in their ethereal form they can hurt you. I get as a Pagan the dead is a normal part of the ecosystem and not an anomaly but even as a Christian wouldn’t that experience make the world more supernatural and mysterious?
