| 7 | 📢 21 Junior Scale JKAS Probationers of 2025 Batch Posted in Various Departments
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the posting of 21 Junior Scale probationers of the 2025 batch of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) in various Administrative Departments.
As per Government Order No. 1563-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on 22 September 2026, the officers awaiting adjustment in the GAD have been placed at the disposal of different departments for further posting.
The concerned departments have been directed to post the officers with immediate effect, in accordance with the Transfer Policy notified vide Government Order No. 861-GAD of 2010.
The order further provides that the officers shall be posted outside their home districts, subject to applicable provisions for officers appointed to JKAS under the Backward Areas and Actual Line of Control (ALC) categories.
The Government has also transferred 21 Junior Scale JKAS posts to the respective departments for salary purposes. The officers have been directed to join their allotted departments immediately.

During the discussion, it was conveyed that the appointment of a new Chairman is essential for the Commission to proceed effectively with major pending matters. Until the new Chairman is appointed, significant decisions relating to results, recruitment advertisements, and examinations are likely to remain affected.
As per the information shared during the discussion
1. CCE Mains Result 2025 : If the new Chairman is appointed in October, there is a possibility of the result being processed and declared during October. In the absence of the appointment, further delay is likely.
2. PO Mains Result: Further progress regarding the result is also expected to depend upon the appointment of the new Chairman.
3. Assistant Professor Examination: The possibility of conducting the examination in December appears limited. The expected timeline discussed is February–March 2027.
4. Departmental Accounts Examination: The examination is expected to have a possibility of being conducted by the end of October and November 2026.
5. CCE 2026 Posts: The new CCE 2026 posts are expected to be advertised in October 2026.
6. CCE 2026 Preliminary Examination: The preliminary examination is tentatively expected around February 2027.
Overall, the key point conveyed during the discussion was that the appointment of the new JKPSC Chairman is crucial for taking forward the pending results, recruitment processes, and examination schedule. In a representation submitted to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the aspirants expressed concern over the eligibility conditions, particularly among graduates and postgraduates who have been preparing for government recruitment examinations for several years.
The aspirants have questioned the rationale and policy basis behind restricting eligibility to a specified lower educational qualification. They have urged the authorities to clarify whether candidates possessing higher educational qualifications should be excluded solely because they have studied beyond the prescribed minimum qualification.
The aspirants appealed to KNS to highlight the issue, interact with affected candidates, and seek clarification from JKSSB and the concerned government department regarding the eligibility criteria.
They maintained that their demand is not aimed at depriving any section of candidates of employment opportunities, but rather at seeking a fair, transparent and clear examination of the eligibility conditions so that genuine aspirants understand their position before the recruitment process proceeds.
