3	⚜️ MACRO LAYERS · XAUUSD Daily context check — 7 July 2026 Genuinely two-sided, CPI is the tiebreaker. Elevated real yields are the bearish pull; a building CFTC gold net long and dollar weakness are the bullish pull. Today's technical plan is a buy-the-invalidation setup toward the prior-day high — but only CPI (~37 hours out) actually resolves direction. Reading it: Fundamentally we're leaning bearish conviction, but the data cuts both ways. 10Y real yields remain elevated (TIPS `2.26%`, nominal `4.49%`) — post-NFP, Treasury real yields are still holding high, the main bearish pull. On the other side: CFTC gold net long is building toward `184K` contracts, and the dollar is weak (DXY `100.85`) — both bullish pulls. The only catalyst that flips this toward sells is a hot CPI print; otherwise, structure favors buyers. On the chart: trading out of the Daily OB after yesterday's bearish close, having swept the PD-Low `4,129`. The 4H FVG `4,126-4,147` still holds as support even though price traded out of it, with a deeper FVG at `4,080-4,100` as backup. The 1H internal __CHoCH__ (closure against `4,159`/`4,160`) has internal structure now aligned bullish with external structure. The plan: watch the 15M bearish FVG `4,142-4,145` (tested 4 times) for invalidation, then buy continuation toward the PD-High `4,202`. 16	⚜️ MACRO LAYERS · XAUUSD Daily context check — 6 July 2026 Fading the sweep, not the trend. Gold ran to ~`4,200` on Friday's NFP shock (Fed Sept-hike odds 66%`→`50%, DXY set for its biggest weekly drop since April) and swept the PD-High/Weekly High 4,195 again today. Intraday structure just turned bearish — but this is a pullback inside a bullish HTF trend, targeting the 4H's own bullish FVG. Reading it: Daily/4H remain structurally bullish. Price swept the PD-High / Weekly High `4,195`, extending to today's Asian High `4,202.8`, while still trading inside the Daily OB. The 4H is internally bullish (__CHoCH__) and is eyeing its own bullish FVG + OTE `4,080-4,100` as the pullback zone before its next leg up — so the sell being planned today is a premium-to-discount pullback inside that bigger trend, not a reversal call. On the 1H, price swept equal highs plus the PDH — a raid on external liquidity — and I'm watching for a manipulation-then-displacement setup into the 1H FVG + OTE `4,135-4,147`. The 15M bearish __CHoCH__ left an OB `4,187-4,200` as the near-term sell zone. Macro backdrop: soft NFP (`57K` vs 110K exp) cut Fed hike odds from `66%` to `50%`, and DXY is on pace for its biggest weekly drop since April — the HTF bullish tailwind this pullback sits inside.
