Daily context check — 2 September 2026
Held by four dollars — paid by $155. Monday's sell zone survived the bounce by less than $4 because of the wider stops our recent misses taught us, then delivered every target and a runner into this morning's collapse. And the clearest signal yet: gold is falling even on war headlines.
Reading it:
What happened: Monday's plan sold the bounce at 4,446 – 4,461 with the stop moved beyond the whole zone — the exact adjustment our earlier near-misses taught. The bounce topped at 4,463, four dollars under that stop, then gold collapsed $155: through 4,428, 4,415, 4,396, all three targets, closing at 4,331 and sweeping to 4,285 this morning. Why it matters: the bearish regime just gave its loudest signal — US strikes on Iran spiked oil to $95.6, and gold went DOWN. When war itself can't lift the ultimate safe haven, high bond yields (now 4.75%) own the market completely. The catch: this morning gold tagged the one shelf where sharp bounces are normal (a major long-term average near 4,295 plus old lows), and that bounce has already started — climbing straight into a ladder of seller zones above. Also: the weak dollar alongside falling gold means forced selling — fast moves both ways. The plan: sell a clear stall at 4,331 – 4,342; if that breaks, the next zone is 4,344 – 4,356, and a big squeeze would meet the master zone at 4,390 – 4,421. Targets 4,315, then 4,295, then 4,283 — profits taken aggressively at the bottom shelf. Quick half-size bounce-buys only if 4,283 gets swept and recovers. Trim everything before 12:15 UTC (ADP jobs preview) — and Friday's full jobs report is the week's judge.

That's how a system compounds — every miss buys information, every rule earns its keep. Today: measured size on a fast tape, sell only confirmed stalls, bank hard at the shelf where bounces live, and trim before the data. Friday is judgment day; we'll arrive at it flat, calm, and funded.
