US-Iran tensions are escalating — Hormuz strikes, retaliation, oil pressing new highs — which would normally bid safe havens, but the current regime has that inflation fear keeping real yields elevated and gold under pressure. Third straight bearish Daily close; today's plan sells the pullback into the 15M FVG.
Reading it:
Consolidating after yesterday's full bearish move, but still closing bearish for a third consecutive day. Geopolitically: US-Iran tensions are reviving inflation worries, oil is pressing new highs — a technically bullish pull for havens, but the inflation channel dominates the current regime, so the actual effect on gold is bearish. Real yields are rising toward `2.3%`, and Fed Sept-hike odds have climbed to `66%` (from `62%`) — both keep pressure on gold. Structurally: 4H swept its external low yesterday and has consolidated since, respecting the 4H FVG `4,087-4,097` as resistance. 1H swept its external high `4,086.5` but failed to close above it — bearish structure intact, with an untested 1H FVG `4,092-4,115` above as a deeper alternative. The 15M BoS at `4,062` signals continuation, leaving an FVG `4,072-4,077` as the pullback POI. CB demand (Q1 `337t`) still floors deeper downside.
