| 4 | Comrades of Bristol CPGB-ML join International Conference Against War in London
Yesterday, Stop the War Coalition welcomed thousands of activists from the UK and abroad to London at their international convergence against austerity and war. With the UK’s participation in the genocide in Gaza, and the US-Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran, workers in Britain have a renewed interest in the anti-war movement. What was touted to be a crucial event that could not have come at a more critical time turned out to be the usual: the same, old tired lines from trade union bureaucrats and social democrats about “inter-imperialist rivalry”, the “Iranian regime” and “Russian imperialism,” accompanied by more proposals to reduce all anti-war activity to just A to B marches and rallies, while refusing to acknowledge the anti-imperialist countries and movements around the world, including Palestine and Iran, that are resisting imperialist subjection.
Where is the push for a campaign of mass non-cooperation by British workers?
Just as it is British workers who are running the imperialist war machine, they too can play a vital role in grinding it to a halt. We have a duty as communists not just to explain to workers why these wars are happening, but to reach out to them about the role they can play in stopping them, too.
Organising and mobilising British workers into a mass non-cooperation campaign that rejects imperialist war is no small task. But it is up to you to make it happen!

It reminds us how important it is for all humans to spend time in nature, and how the inability to do so stunts the development of working-class children and impoverishes working-class life.
The question that is only tangentially addressed in the film is that of the historical seizure and hereditary ownership of the land – a fundamental injustice that can only be addressed by the elimination of class society as a whole.

| 15 | Communist party leader and ANC armed wing commander Chris Hani was viewed by the South African masses as a freedom fighter, but branded by the apartheid government and its imperialist backers as a terrorist.
Clearly, Marxists need to make a clear distinction between our rejection of the ‘terrorism’ label as applied by imperialism to its opponents, and our criticism of those individual acts of terror that are counterproductive to the cause of working-class and anti-imperialist liberation.

Our party recently held a screening of the landmark 1948 Polish film The Last Stage (Ostatni etap). Directed by Wanda Jakubowska – a communist, resistance fighter and survivor of Auschwitz – the film was among the first cinematic depictions of the Nazi concentration camps and the organised resistance that developed within them.
Several Auschwitz survivors appear in the film, portraying roles closely connected to their own real-life experiences just a few years after the liberation, adding a rare and powerful layer of direct testimony to its reconstruction of events.
Produced in postwar people's democratic Poland and filmed partly on location at Auschwitz itself, The Last Stage stands as both historical testimony and a forceful affirmation of the role played by communists in the struggle against fascism and genocide.
At a time when our ruling class seeks to discredit communists and anti-imperialists as “antisemitic” for expressing solidarity with oppressed peoples and resisting imperialist war, occupation, sanctions and national oppression, this screening reasserted a clear historical record: communists have always been at the forefront of the struggle against racism, fascism, colonialism and war.
The CPGB-ML stands firmly against all forms of racism, including antisemitism, while rejecting attempts to weaponise such accusations in order to silence political solidarity and internationalist struggle.
This event was part of our party’s wider cultural and political work to defend historical memory, strengthen proletarian internationalism, and uphold the struggle for liberation everywhere. | 18 | Basque police beating Israeli torture survivors is institutional. These are the same cops who've taken €1.6m in Israeli security contracts, been trained by former Mossad agents, and equipped with Israeli surveillance tech.
We note that the relationship between Israeli and western security forces is a circular one.
It was the British colonial regime in Palestine which first armed zionist militia and trained then in the use of terroristic and fascistic methods. Britain was then the world leader in violent suppression of colonised peoples, having gained vast experience over many years of putting down unrest from Ireland to Kenya to India and beyond.
Today, the Israeli state has become the outsourced frontman for much of the imperialists’ colonial violence. And since its forces have daily experience of the most up-to-date methods of terrorising and coercing civilian populations, they have become the go-to consultants for keeping other parts of the imperial machinery up to date with new methods and technologies.
This is not ‘Israel running the world’, but a division of labour within the imperialist machinery and, to some extent, an arms-length management which allows for deniability by the imperialist governments and states who actually fund and supply the zionist state machine.
