At least 27 people have been killed in a crash involving a minibus carrying church members in central Zimbabwe. The minibus collided with a haulage truck near Chivhu, about 140km south of the capital Harare, on August 28, police said. The truck was overtaking another vehicle when it hit the minibus, which was carrying passengers travelling to a church conference. State broadcaster ZBC News reported that 23 people died at the scene, with additional victims later dying in the hospital. The crash is the latest in a series of deadly road accidents in Zimbabwe, where poor road conditions and dangerous driving have contributed to a high number of fatalities.

South Africa has formally accused Israel of failing to comply with three legally binding orders issued by the International Court of Justice, submitting an evidence dossier to the court as part of its genocide case against Israel. Ratko Mladic, the convicted Bosnian Serb war criminal known as the "Butcher of Bosnia", has died while serving a life sentence in The Hague.
