For me, the answer to the most decisive battle in Ukraine will always be Robotyne. From a Crimean beach party in 2 weeks to absolutely catastrophic losses (that i can’t speak about regarding the exact losses), it was essentially Ukraine’s equivalent of Kyiv in xyz days. What was meant to be a blitz that would win Ukraine war the war, sadly turned into an absolutely disgusting slog that cost so so much. I hope the day Ukraine launched this counteroffensive (or the day the battle for Robotyne began) becomes some sort of remembrance day. I’d certainly commemorate it.

Here is a map of the approximate infiltration routes of the Russians. When i get home and am able to update my map, a grey zone will be added from Novoandriivka to Orikhiv to Yurkivka, where there is concerningly no definitive Ukrainian control.

An update on Orikhiv: (unfortunately i can’t update my map right now) Russian forces have launched intense (and potentially repeated) infiltrations through Novoandriivka into Yurkivka and Tavriyske, putting Ukrainian logistics toward Orikhiv under significant stress. The Zaporizhzhya-Orikhiv highway is under extreme pressure due to these infiltrations. Part of these advances are due to overcommitment of Ukrainian forces to counterattacks in Lyman and Prykotlotne (Kharkiv oblast) directions. Overall, there is immense concern that must be addressed regarding the strategic supply hub of Orikhiv.

Claims are circulating around an almost complete collapse of Ukrainian defences of Orikhiv. There is some merit to these claims. Update later.

There are rumours that Russian/Chechen Akhmat commander Ramzan Kadyrov was killed today. Waiting for confirmation.

This is a great example of how Russian glide bombs have been the closest thing to a wunderwaffen in this war. Because they are dropped in such overwhelming number on Ukrainian strong points, they couple perfectly with Russian infiltrate-and-assault tactics. It simply becomes untenable for AFU to hold positions because they are absolutely bombarded. According to the own AFU’s general staff, Russia often uses in excess of 300+ glide bombs per day. This is an absolutely brutal instrument of attrition that cannot be understated.

Here's an example showing how insanely intense the Russian KAB glide-bomb strikes on the Dobropillya direction are right now. In one of these forests west of the village of Novohryshyne, half of the forest is now pure KAB crater, while the other one also has over a dozen craters. Any Ukrainian fortifications or positions here are now wiped out, which allows the infiltration of small groups of Russian soldiers to take place.

Unconfirmed reports Russian strike UAVs to Vilnius, Lithuania.

The large scale strike UAV attack is STILL ongoing.

As reported by AMK Mapping, Russia launched a huge Geran-2 long range strike UAV attack overnight in Ukraine. It is likely that at least some of the motive for launching an 800-strong UAV attack was to offload Geran-2 strike UAVs which are now superseded in quality and production by Geran-3, Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet-powered strike UAVs. The primary targets involved petrol stations and railway stations across many oblasts of Ukraine. It must be kept in mind that these attacks, although less directly, contribute much like battlefield weapons to overall attrition that builds up on Ukraine and degrades its ability to fight over time.

An interesting fact: At its largest extent, the Russian controlled area of Northern Donetsk oblast spanned from Ridkodub to Svyatohirsk and Drobysheve, at over 700 square kilometres. Now, this same area contains only 358 square kilometres of definitive Russian control.

Updated map showing the approximate missile flight routes during tonight's large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. The following was launched: ~7 Kalibr cruise missiles ~10 Iskander-M ballistic missiles ~4 Kn-23 ballistic missiles ~2 Oniks supersonic cruise missiles ~23 missiles in total. 1-2 Kalibrs were shot down. All of the missiles of other types impacted.
