For sure every team is different. I would probably say… I'm not going to talk about the teams, I am going to talk about myself. I feel like when I stood in for Liquid I just played, and we tried to win as many rounds as possible. With MOUZ I tried to be someone that I'm not, someone that just does the role and tries to survive on site, do whatever it takes to be the perfect teammate. Helping, surviving, doing flashes, whatever. With Vitality I try to take on the responsibilities of a player, mezii in this case, and just be myself afterwards. I feel like I cannot play my best game being someone else. So that's the main difference individually.

| 10 | 🇦🇺 FlyQuest has announced Alistair "aliStair" Johnston's return to the team after his benching in late 2024 and departure in 2025.
After aliStair's departure in 2025, FlyQuest brought on Romanian AWPer Iulian "regali" Harjău, who posted a 1.11 rated during his year with the team, and then João "story" Vieira took over for the first half of 2026, posting a 1.10 before returning to Portugal to play with SAW.
aliStair, who didn't hit those numbers during his previous tenure with FlyQuest, averaging a 1.02 rating, is back not only as the team's AWPer, but will also be taking over the reins of in-game leadership. This move will free up Joshua "INS" Potter, who was the team's statistical leader before taking up the role of IGL in 2025.
FlyQuest is now:
🇦🇺 Justin "jks" Savage
🇦🇺 Alistair "aliStair" Johnston
🇦🇺 Joshua "INS" Potter
🇦🇺 Declan "Vexite" Portelli

| 12 | While many expected kl1m's promotion after his loan to MIBR, G2's GM Petar Marković told HLTV that the team decided against it due to potential visa issues ❌✈️
"One of the primary reasons we decided not to get kl1m on board for our main team is the unfortunate visa situation with Russian players," Markovic adds, "and with the constant travel we anticipated (EWC to Copenhagen to Porto to China, as an example now in August), we did not want to take a risk of having to go for stand-ins in case we don't manage to secure his visa on time."

| 14 | While playing with jL has been a pleasant experience, apEX misses "the best teammate" he's ever had and hopes mezii he can regain his level later in the season 🙏
Well, we lose a voice. We lose a person that is really calm. While Justin is calm as well, but a bit more crazy, and we have enough crazy people in the team, I would say, so it creates a bit of chaos sometime before maps, et cetera. We lose a person that is one of also the best supports in his roles, et cetera. So it's not easy to lose him. But Justin has been a phenomenal stand-in. I think it's also good when you're stand-in to play in such a good team, I would say. I think it's good stuff for him.
But I'm a bit sad for Will in a way that he had to go away for this tournament because he didn't have the best first part of the season, at the end of the first part of the season, individually, and in EWC I felt like he came back to a better level and he had to quit us, and that was a bit sad for him because he can do so well and we know how important he is for the team. I just hope he's going to come back to the best level he ever showed, because he is the best teammate I ever had. | 4 128 |
