في الحروب الحديثة لا يكاد يتبيَّن الجبان من الشجاع، وإلا فأيّ شجاعة في أن تضغط على زرّ فتلقي قنبلة، أو تقود طيارة حربية وتقصف منها مدنيين تعلم يقينا أنهم عُزّل لا سلاح معهم، هذه الآلات الحديثة يختفي خلفها الكثيرون من ذوي القلوب الهشة والعزائم الرخوة. الشجاعة الحقيقية والقوة الفعلية تظهر في المواجهة وجها لوجه، ومن مسافة الصفر، وقد رأينا مجاهدينا الأشاوس - رضي الله عنهم- كيف فعلوا باليهود على كثرتهم وعلى عِظم أسلحتهم وعتادهم، حتى صار لا يجرؤ البطل منهم على أن يُخرج رأسه فقط من الآلية التي يركبها. في الميدان فقط تستطيع أن تعرف من هو الفارس ومن هو فأر الصرف الصحي!.

Meanwhile, 126,000 civilians from the north and south of Israel have been relocated in an effort to shield them from Hamas missiles and mortar attacks by Hizbollah, the Lebanese militant movement backed by Iran. The labour ministry says that 764,000 Israelis — 18 per cent of the workforce — are not working after being called up for reserve duty, evacuated from their towns or forced by school closures to look after children at home.
