💥💥💥 A federal judge in Manhattan on Thursday approved a $72.5 million class-action settlement reached between victims of Jeffrey Epstein and Bank of America. Manhattan Federal Court Judge Jed Rakoff greenlit the agreement at an hourlong conference, hailing the outcome as a significant step toward accountability while acknowledging nothing would ever undo the pain caused to Epstein's victims. "No amount of money can ever fully compensate Epstein's victims for the harm they've suffered," Rakoff said. Amid endless reporting about the need for those who facilitated Epstein's abuse to be brought to justice, Rakoff said, "There are cases, including very much this one, where that hasn't just been talk, it's reality." "It is thanks to plaintiffs' counsel that a substantial number of Epstein's victims are receiving substantial amounts of money and that some at least modest justice is thereby being accommodated," the judge added. Women abused or trafficked by Epstein or anyone associated with his sex trafficking ring between June 2008 and July 2019 will be covered by the settlement, attorneys for the women previously said. About 60 women are slated to receive payouts. Before rubber-stamping the agreement, Rakoff found the settlement class had been properly certified. The suit filed in October 2025 alleged that Bank of America, for years, ignored "a plethora" of evidence that Epstein was sexually abusing vulnerable teenage girls and young women for the sake of making a profit. It always comes back to Epstein! Jared Kushner just met privately with Democratic House leader Hakeem Jeffries as the midterms approach. But there’s another name sitting right in the middle of these worlds that caught my attention: Marc Rowan. Rowan is the CEO of Apollo Global Management. In 2022, he maxed out to Hakeem Jeffries with $5,800. But that was the small check. That same cycle, Rowan sent $1 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, then another $500,000. He also gave $250,000 to AIPAC’s United Democracy Project and maxed out to other politicians on both sides. When you look at Jeffries’ 2022 money, his top contributor groups included Pro-Israel America, Votesane, NorPAC and AIPAC. Apollo employees were also among his top contributors, with $47,100. Rowan was part of that pile. Now fast-forward to today. Rowan sits alongside Jared Kushner on Trump’s Board of Peace, involved in the Gaza reconstruction framework. So the man who maxed out to Jeffries is now sitting on a reconstruction board with Kushner, and Kushner just sat down privately with Jeffries. Then there’s the Epstein connection. Rowan is named in a March 2026 shareholder lawsuit alleging Apollo and its leadership misled investors about the firm's connections to Jeffrey Epstein. After the Epstein files were released, Apollo said Rowan had no business or personal relationship with Epstein. But that statement becomes a lot more interesting when you actually read the documents. The files contain scheduled meetings involving Rowan. They show Rowan directing an Apollo partner to work with Epstein on matters involving Rothschild and Apollo's structure. Epstein’s office asked about Rowan’s plane. Epstein’s accountant, Richard Kahn, tracked Rowan’s stock sales. There’s even breakfast on the calendar. Apollo says no relationship. The documents deserve to be read alongside that statement. And, of course, Apollo’s Epstein story is much bigger than Rowan. Apollo co-founder Leon Black paid Epstein roughly $158 million, largely for tax and estate-planning services. There’s another piece of this story that brings us right back to Kushner. Apollo provided roughly $300 million in financing connected to the rescue of Kushner Companies’ troubled 666 Fifth Avenue property. When the New York Times reported on those Apollo loans, Epstein forwarded the article to Richard Kahn and he responded with the message: “not great for Josh or APO.” There’s even another thread worth looking at. In 2015, Andrew Farkas was communicating with Epstein about a potential roughly $100 million arrangement involving Gulf sovereign wealth and fees far above what major firms like Goldman Sachs and Lazard were charging. Abu Dhabi’s ADIA was already an Apollo investor. Qatar walked away from a deal involving the Kushner property in 2017. The rescue financing ultimately came together in 2018. Now, years later, Rowan and Kushner are sitting together on the same Gaza reconstruction board while Kushner is privately meeting with the Democratic leader who could become Speaker if his party takes the House. Maybe that’s why I’ve stopped looking at Washington through the simple Republican-versus-Democrat lens. Barak was one of Epstein's closest associates. Those emails were published by Distributed Denial of Secrets. Journalists Jack Poulson and Harrison Berger spent months going through them. What they found was a direct financial relationship between Ehud Barak and Scott Bessent, the man who is now running the United States Treasury. Here is what the emails show: (1) August 2013. Barak emails a senior Soros Fund executive about "ichiban," a Japanese word meaning "number one." It is the code name for a currency trade being run by Bessent at Soros Fund. The trade that would make $3.5 billion crashing the yen. (2) December 2013. Barak emails about meeting with Bessent directly. He refers to Bessent as "Sterling" in the correspondence. (3) May 2014. Soros Fund executives discuss seeding Bessent's new hedge fund, Key Square Capital, with $100 million to $450 million. Barak is included in these discussions. (3) February 2015. Barak has a direct meeting with Bessent scheduled. The emails reference ongoing financial discussions between them. (4) May 2015. Discussions continue about Bessent's fund launch and Barak's financial involvement. This is the same Ehud Barak who was business partners with Jeffrey Epstein. The same Barak who ran an intelligence-linked venture capital fund. The same Barak who was connected to Carbyne and TOKA, surveillance tech companies Epstein helped fund and sell to the US Government. And Scott Bessent, who had this financial relationship with Epstein's business partner, who was code-named in Epstein-adjacent communications, is now the Treasury Secretary of the United States. The Senate had a chance to investigate. Ron Wyden tried to expand the Epstein probe to include financial connections like these. Senate Republicans blocked it, and in March 2026 they killed the bill. The leaked emails exist. The financial relationship exists. The meetings exist. The Senate investigation was blocked. A follow the money on these financials would be revealing, so the question is why?? This is the man running the U.S. Treasury. The man weakening your dollar. The man who just got the president's family a bank charter for their private digital dollar. The man who yesterday threatened to cut countries off from the dollar system entirely. The blistering opinion says the evidence of Maxwell's guilt is "overwhelming" and new evidence hurt more than helped her. "Maxwell's claims are all meritless and all or almost all are frivolous," U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer wrote in a 67-page opinion. "The vast majority are procedurally barred — either because Maxwell made and lost the same arguments on direct appeal, or because she could have made such arguments on appeal but elected not to do so." According to the discussion, "Ed Epstein" allegedly sent an email asking Ghislaine Maxwell: “Any interest in being on the Shadow Commission?” The message reportedly added that the membership was secret. Her alleged response: “Thanks for the invite. Unfortunately, I cannot be on the Shadow Commission.” The conversation also focused on reported gaps in Epstein-related records from 1999–2001. But an important distinction: a gap in records does not prove that information was deliberately removed, and an email mentioning a “Shadow Commission” does not establish what the organization was or whether it existed as described. Todd Blanche is protecting Mandelson: The criminal investigation into whether Lord Mandelson passed confidential government information to Jeffrey Epstein is at risk of collapse, The Telegraph can disclose. Detectives at Scotland Yard believe it is increasingly unlikely that the US department of justice (DoJ) will hand over the unredacted Epstein files, which police believe may be needed to charge the former Labour cabinet minister with misconduct in public office. Neither the DoJ nor the FBI has responded to the Metropolitan Police’s request for the documents, which was initially made under an informal agreement to share information between the law enforcement agencies. The Met escalated the request through the formal mutual legal assistance process, but this could take years. The Telegraph understands the impasse has come about, in part, because the US administration is reluctant to release files that may damage Donald Trump’s reputation and set a precedent for other cases that could reignite the scandal. The original files are considered crucial for any prosecution case because Lord Mandelson’s lawyers could argue that the partially redacted emails published online by the DoJ are shorn of context and do not tell the full story. It means the investigation now faces being dropped entirely. Such a result would be embarrassing for the Met, which faced significant political pressure to arrest the peer, who was sacked as ambassador to the US last year over his relationship with the financier. Les Wexner, Ohio's richest man, will no longer remain a regular member of the board overseeing Ohio State University’s medical center, which is named after him, after a tumultuous year when the state’s wealthiest resident was scrutinized for his connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The university released a list of committee appointments Thursday that makes Wexner the chair emeritus of the Wexner Medical Center Board, a nonvoting position. Wexner had previously been the board’s regular chair. He’s contributed millions to his alma mater over the years, including a 2011 gift of $100 million that mostly went to the hospital.
