Take note that one of the writers is NYT's Maggie Halberman. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The Trump White House is on the hunt for the source of a leak after the details of sensitive conversations between senior Trump officials were exposed in a new report. On Wednesday, the New York Times published an excerpt from the forthcoming book Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump by its White House reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan. In the excerpt, Haberman and Swan describe secret, emergency meetings in the Situation Room between the president’s aides, without the knowledge of the president, in which they sought to contain the scandal that erupted as a result of the administration’s botched handling of the release of the Epstein files. Many of Trump’s senior aides participated in a meeting on July 17, 2025, ten days after the Justice Department and FBI released a memo declaring there was no Epstein client list and that the disgraced financier had killed himself in jail. Those present, either in the Situation Room or on the phone, included Vice President JD Vance, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Communications Director Steven Cheung, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, then-Attorney General Pam Bondi, then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and FBI Director Kash Patel. During the meeting, the group worked to develop a gesture of transparency that would convince the president’s MAGA base that he was sympathetic to their concerns. “Which itself was a problem, because he clearly wasn’t,” Haberman and Swan note. One suggestion, floated by Vance, was an interview between Tucker Carlson and jailed Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, in the hopes that Maxwell would say that Trump had not been involved in Epstein’s crimes. CNN’s Brian Stelter reported on Wednesday that, following the publication of the excerpt, a “massive leak hunt” was now underway at the White House in order to find the source of the leak. Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) said Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has been "cooperative" in answering questions from lawmakers during Wednesday's House Oversight Committee investigation into the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and asks more people with information to come forward. "It's important to note that Mr. Gates does understand that he was around people, and likely assistants and those employed by Mr. Gates, that were also abused," Garcia said outside the deposition room. "...That was recognized in some of the discussion that we had inside." https://x.com/CBSNews/status/2064801345610072073 🗂 @EpsteinUnsealed

I'm glad Chairman Comer finally agrees that our Committee should talk to Todd Blanche about Epstein. Oversight Democrats are also demanding that he agree to a videotaped, under-oath deposition. The American public deserves transparency. 💯 https://x.com/RepRobertGarcia/status/2064783996861526178?s=20 🗂 @EpsteinUnsealed

📌 Epstein files showed repeated contact with Gates after 2008 📌 Microsoft co-founder posed for photos with young women 📌 Emails show Gates Foundation staff communicated with Epstein Bill Gates told members of Congress on Wednesday that he "did not fully understand the extent" of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes when he associated with the late convicted sex offender to raise money for ‌his philanthropic foundation. Gates also testified that he never witnessed any criminal conduct from Epstein. He accused Epstein of blackmailing him over his extramarital affairs. "These affairs had nothing to do with my interactions with Epstein, but they were painful for my family," Gates said, according to a copy of his opening statement. "Epstein was working to use information about my infidelities — in addition to many lies that he layered on top — to pressure me to re-engage with him." Congress has been investigating the U.S. Justice Department's handling of the Epstein case. The billionaire's testimony concerned his contacts with the convicted sex offender who ensnared women and girls from poor or unstable backgrounds. The Microsoft Corp co-founder testified privately to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which is investigating possible federal mismanagement in the cases against Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell and related issues. U.S. Representative James Comer, the Republican committee chairman, asked Gates in a March letter to appear for an in-person transcribed interview. Read More [HERE] 🗂 @EpsteinUnsealed

Bill Gates shows up to testify about his direct connections to Jeffrey Epstein's child trafficking network with a big smirk on his face. The testimony will be behind closed doors with no cameras. Bill Gates, the billionaire founder of Microsoft, will testify before the U.S. House Oversight Committee in a closed-door hearing on Wednesday over ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Gates is among several individuals brought in by lawmakers on the oversight committee to testify about their relationship with Epstein. Previously, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, former Attorney General Pam Bondi and former president Bill Clinton were brought in to testify about Epstein. Gates was mentioned various times throughout the U.S. Department of Justice’s release of documents associated with Epstein. He appeared with Epstein in estate photos released by the DOJ in December 2025. Gates said he met with Epstein several times starting in 2011, after Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 on charges of solicitation of prostitution with a minor. “I was foolish to spend time with him,” Gates said in an interview. “I was one of many people who regret ever knowing him.” In drafted emails from July 2013, Epstein claims Gates contracted a sexually transmitted infection. A spokesperson for Gates has denied the claims in the email. “While Mr. Gates acknowledges that meeting with Epstein was a serious error in judgment, he unequivocally denies any improper conduct related to Epstein and the horrible activities in which Epstein was involved,” the spokesperson said. In February, Gates told a news outlet his meetings with Epstein were limited to dinners and that he regretted the time he spent with the deceased child sex offender. Gates has also denied Epstein’s financial involvement in his philanthropic endeavors. “The foundation did not pursue any collaboration with Epstein and no fund was ever created,” the Gates Foundation wrote. “At no time were financial payments made by the foundation to Epstein, nor was he employed by the foundation at any time.” Epstein also claimed Gates asked him to facilitate illicit sexual encounters and purchase drugs. House Oversight Chair James Comer, R-Ky., said lawmakers on the committee will interview individuals associated with Epstein over the next few weeks. Leon Black, founder of Apollo Global Management; Doug Band, former aide to President Bill Clinton; and Kathy Ruemmler, former White House counsel for President Barack Obama, will testify on their relationship to and knowledge of Epstein. Gates will testify to lawmakers behind closed doors and his testimony will nto be immediately available to the public. Read More [HERE] 🗂 @EpsteinUnsealed

Epstein’s life eerily looks like it was modeled after a 1973 science fiction book called Space Relations, written by former OSS officer Donald Barr. The book depicts a world of elite power, sexual exploitation, and slavery, which makes the parallels to Epstein’s life feel genuinely bizarre. 🤯 https://x.com/AmericanALCHMY/status/2064067814609301899 🗂 @EpsteinUnsealed

Just left the DOJ where I was looking at unredacted Epstein Files. As always, it’s sickening to read testimony from women who detail years of abuse at the hands of Epstein, Maxwell and other billionaires who’ve yet to be prosecuted. ‼️‼️‼️ Nearly two dozen Epstein accusers told Reuters that speaking out sparked threats and relentless harassment, in some cases after Justice Department files exposed their identities. Some now carry weapons and live in fear as online attacks and intimidation transform their lives. When Marina Lacerda told the world that Jeffrey Epstein had sexually abused her when she was 14, the threats began almost immediately. In September, she and other accusers appeared at a news conference pressing for the release of the Epstein files. “She’ll be unalived,” a stranger wrote under a YouTube video of a news report about Lacerda that day. “She really should’ve stayed quiet. RIP.” The harassment intensified when Lacerda’s name appeared at least 46 times in unredacted Justice Department documents months later. Online, she was called a liar and a prostitute who deserved what happened to her. Her 12-year-old daughter was taunted at school by classmates asking if she was Epstein’s child. Today, Lacerda lives with her daughter in a gated community and sleeps with a handgun on her nightstand. “I’m scared that somebody’s going to come in the house,” she said. “I’m just paranoid all the time.” Lacerda is one of 23 Epstein accusers Reuters identified who’ve faced threats, harassment and intimidation by trolls, haters and other foes – some after speaking publicly about their abuse, others after their identities were exposed in the Justice Department’s Epstein files, and in some cases both. Drawing on interviews with the women, police and court records, and thousands of online posts, the review is the most comprehensive to date of the scope and severity of attacks on Epstein’s accusers. The harassment took many forms. Strangers photographed women’s homes. Unfamiliar cars lingered outside and sped off when confronted. Some women received threats of violence, including calls from people claiming to know where they lived. Several say they no longer leave home alone. The Justice Department said it took steps to protect victim information after releasing millions of pages of Epstein-related investigative files in December and January, and moved quickly to fix redaction errors when notified. Asked about its handling of the files for this report, Justice Department spokesperson Natalie Baldassarre said that “no victim should face harassment, threats, or intimidation after coming forward.” She added that the department is “not to blame for backlash directed at victims who voluntarily revealed their identities long before files were published.” Read More [HERE] 🗂 @EpsteinUnsealed
