1 USD = 155 ETB. No one here is paying me 155x my effort, so I stopped working with local clients like 1 and half year ago. (same for @Natyiu0). If you trust your skills and have solid projects (not just AI to do lists), go to YC startups, find early stage founders on LinkedIn or X, and DM them. Twitter Premium helps and its worth it. If you’re good, you can land a $1k internship for 1–2 months. Go all in, and it can turn into a $3k–$4k full-time role. I’ve seen it happen. If you’re not there yet, build. 2–4 hours a day. One strong project every week for 4 weeks. Post on X (views don’t matter), then start DMing. Keep building, make projects more complex over time. Just make side projects a habit. Rewire your brain. @selfmadecoder

#TheRecord is out! 💎 Inspiration gets you started, but discipline makes you a designer. Yesterday’s session with Bereket Danail was one for the books. We went deep into the reality of being a creator in 2026. No fluff, no business talk just pure craft and experience. Key Highlight: How to keep your creative soul alive while scaling your work. It is with great pleasure that I now give you the Official Public Beta for Lomi. This version is meant to be a public test for our remake of the prototype lomi we released last year. Play around with it, kill some guys and see how high you can score. There are analytics embeded in the game. You taking the time to play it already means a lot to us. In case you'd want to leave any further opinions, you can do so by using this link. Play along for a chance to have your name in the credits of the game.

🚀 Introducing Dataset.ET The future of AI should speak Ethiopian languages. Today we are launching Dataset.ET — an open community initiative to build the largest dataset for Ethiopian languages. Why this matters: Most AI systems today barely understand Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Tigrinya, Somali, and many other Ethiopian languages. Without datasets, AI will ignore our languages. Dataset.ET is changing that. What we are building: • Speech datasets • Text datasets • Community-validated language corpora • Open infrastructure for Ethiopian AI How you can help: 1️⃣ Record sentences using our Telegram bot 2️⃣ Validate recordings from other contributors 3️⃣ Help expand datasets for Ethiopian languages No technical skills needed — just your voice and your language. 🤖 Start contributing: https://t.me/dataset_et_bot 🌍 Learn more: https://dataset.et 💬 Join the community: https://t.me/dataset_et Together we can teach AI to understand Ethiopia. 📢 Community leaders & channel admins:
If you run a Telegram group or community and believe Ethiopian languages should be part of the future of AI, we would really appreciate it if you could share this post with your community. Your support can help thousands of people contribute their language and voice to this initiative. Thank you!

For the past 7 months, I have been working deeply on backend development — focusing on database design, microservice architecture, and implementing real-world systems using frameworks like NestJS and FastAPI. One important thing I’ve learned is this: once you truly understand backend fundamentals — such as database schema design, authentication (stateless and stateful), session management, audit logging, monitoring, and message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and AWS SQS — the choice of framework or programming language becomes less important. What matters most is understanding the core concepts and implementing them at least once. After that, switching frameworks or languages becomes much easier. That’s why I’m shifting my focus back to DSA and system thinking. Scalability comes from good database design, and performance comes from strong problem-solving skills. Over the next 3 months, I will: • Revisit DSA using Grind 75 • Share insights twice a week • Build one scalable full-stack project with real impact Instead of jumping from framework to framework, let’s master the fundamentals and build something meaningful. Stay tuned
