We are going to have judges as part of the grading process in order to give the event a more hackathon vibe as well. Chillaton 2 will start on February 16 until February 23, with the final results being announced on the 28th I dont know how I managed to get these guys to participate in judging😂 (absolute heroes btw), we got @mo_tries @dot_ruth @corax_cave @SoloDevChronicles The criteria for judging will be based on cleanness of code, technical execution, functionality, user experience, problem-solving, problem-solving/relation to theme The theme for this chillaton is going to be: Glimpse into the Future Like the last time, you can build whatever you want. There are no restrictions, use them minds to create something cool. At the end deploy them and you'll send it to me alongside your github repo. Before You Build The Next App… Read This We all know the feeling… Starting a new app. Fresh idea. New UI. New logic. New excitement. It feels amazing. But here’s something most developers don’t talk about enough 👇 Sometimes the best app you’ll ever build… is the one you already abandoned. Think about it. Months ago or even years ago you dropped projects because: • You didn’t have the skills yet • The tools were limited • You ran out of resources • Or you simply outgrew the idea at the time Now fast forward to today… Your skills are sharper. Your problem-solving is faster. Your tech stack is stronger. Your vision is clearer. That “old project” might not be dead. It might just be waiting for the new version of you. Some of your best ideas were ahead of your ability not ahead of their time. So before jumping into building another new app, take a moment and ask yourself: 👉 Which project did I abandon because I couldn’t finish it not because it was a bad idea? Upgrade it. Refactor it. The Talix Landing Page Contest We’re building Talix, an AI-powered learning platform. We’re looking for a landing page design that is clean enough to put out there Prizes: - Winner: 10,000 ETB Cash Prize + 3 months of Talix pro + Featured Credit and Opportunities - 2nd Place: A custom Domain Name for you. It's only a landing page, so we expect you to include sections/elements of a modern landing page (Hero Section, CTA, etc.) The design should match our existing App design feels.
