ππ Key Verse: "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices" (2 Corinthians 2:11).

Satan has so many tricks and devices he uses to lure people, especially children, into his trap. He is wise, being the god of this world. Remember, he was one of the precious and lovely angels in heaven.
Because of his pride and attempt to be like God, he was thrown down to the earth along with all the angels that supported him. Since then, Satan is doing all he can within his power to draw as many people as possible to hell.
You need to be watchful of the devices of the devil. The Bible makes us to understand that he walks about to and fro on the earth, looking for whom to devour. A practical example is the story of Job in the Bible where the sons of God were having a meeting, and Satan came into the midst of them.
Satan's reason for coming was to take permission to afflict Job, the servant of God, and in doing it, Satan came with accusation; that is why he is called the accuser of the brethren.
Do not allow Satan to take advantage of you, surrender your life to Christ, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

FASTING IN TRYING TIMES ποΈπππ«΅π½ππ½ββοΈππ½ββοΈπ§π½π§π½ββοΈπ£οΈππ½ππ½

π MEMORY VERSE: "Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish" (ESTHER 4:16).
It was Wesley L. Duewel who said, "Fasting in the biblical sense is choosing not to partake of food because your spiritual hunger is so deep, your determination in intercession so intense, or your spiritual warfare so demanding that you have temporarily set aside even fleshly needs to give yourself to prayer and meditation."
In the days of Mordecai, a death decree was signed by the king, Esther's husband, against the exiled Jews in his kingdom. It was Haman's scheme. Added to this, was a protocol attracting a capital punishment on anyone that approached unto the king except by invitation. The only means to break the protocol was to cry to the living God who holds the hearts of all men in His hands.
Esther, her maidens and the Jews fasted and prayed and God was moved and delivered the Jews from mass slaughter (Esther 5:2, 3; 8:7-11). Acceptable fasting and prayer is for the saints (Psalm 66:18). Youths who have challenges that defy ordinary prayer should examine themselves and pray with fasting. However, do not indulge in a long fasting unadvisedly.

ππTEXT: HOSEA 3:1-5ππ
ππ KEY VERSE: "Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine" (HOSEA 3:1).
The story is told of how a couple married for 15 years began having more than usual disagreements. They wanted to make their marriage work and agreed on an idea the wife had. For one month they planned to drop a slip in a "Fault" box. The boxes would provide a place to let the other know about daily irritations. The wife was diligent in her efforts and approach: "leaving the jelly top off the jar," "wet towels on the shower floor," "dirty socks not in hamper," on and on until the end of the month. After dinner, at the end of the month, they exchanged boxes. The husband reflected on what he had done wrong. Then the wife opened her box and began reading. They were all the same, the message on each slip was, "I love you!".
The story in our passage is one of the most powerful pictures of God's unrelenting love in the Bible. Despite betraying him, God commanded Hosea to go back and marry, Gomer, his adulterous wife. Though uncomfortable and painful, it mirrors God's continued love for Israel in spite of her repeated unfaithfulness of chasing after other gods and breaking the covenant with the Lord. Hosea did not only comply, he went ahead to buy her back, a symbol of God's redeeming grace, just as Jesus paid our price with His own life to bring us back to Himself.
Hosea's love story is a deeper spiritual truth of God's love to us even though we don't deserve it. Despite our spiritual wanderings, God sent His Son to die for our redemption, and He patiently waits for our return. Today, if you can turn back to God with a sincere heart, He will welcome, renew, and restore your relationship with Him.

A group of traders often travelled through a definite route when going on their business trips. At a particular time of the year, robbers would always take advantage of the lonely road to terrorise the traders. A voice usually came from the bush, instructing the traders to drop their wares. Out of fear, the traders would quickly drop their goods and run for their dear lives.
This continued for a period of time, until one day when one of the traders decided that "enough was enough". He went into the bush to confront the robbers. Lo, and behold, the person behind that voice was a cripple. He had been using the weapon of fear to steal from the traders.
Fear is just false evidence that appears to be real. The devil uses fear to torment some children who do not know who they are and what they have in Christ. God has given us power to tread upon serpents and scorpions. The Bible says that the devil moves "like" a roaring lion, which means he is not the real lion.
From today, just like David, you will not "Forget Everything (God's Promises) And Run" because of those "False Evidences Appearing Real" but you will "Face Everything And Rise". Pray today that God gives you the spirit of power and a sound mind to confront all your fears with God's unfailing promises.

π MEMORY VERSE: "Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee" (JONAH 3:2).
Prophet Jonah resisted God's divine assignment for him in the city of Nineveh. He also attempted to flee from the presence of God, but God is everywhere.
Sometimes, a person seeking to hide his sins, leaves one part of the city for another, or may even travel abroad. Some change denominations without changing from their sinful ways. In some cases, the guilt of their sin drives them into more troubles. You cannot cover your sins from God's searchlight.
Jonah realized his sin after his failed attempt to flee from God when he found himself in the belly of a fish. Fortunately, it dawned on him to pray for repentance. Dr. Henry Kissinger said, "Opportunities cannot be hoarded, once past, they are usually irretrievable". Hence, many die in such conditions without a second chance.
Peter had a second chance after denying Jesus. Judas Iscariot died and is now in hell. It is very bad to resist God. Whatever may have happened along your journey to heaven, there is opportunity today to plead for forgiveness from God. Then share your experience to help others to avoid rebellion.

A personality identified only as "Dr. Mitchell" once sought to impress upon believers that they were not under the Law when they are in Christ, but we're under a new law - the law of LOVE. He used this to illustrate: "In America there is a law stating a woman must take care of her child. So, a man comes to a new mother's home. He says, 'Are you taking care of your baby? The Law says you have to.' The woman, tenderly holding her baby, said, 'I don't need a law to make me take care of my baby.' Why? Because she loves her baby! She feeds him, holds him, changes him because she loves him. I no longer need the Law because I'm under Christ - a law of LOVE."
In the passage today is a law. James referred to the command, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself" as the "royal law," because it came from the King of kings and governs all relationships in the kingdom of God. This law, rooted in Leviticus 19:18 and affirmed by Jesus in Matthew 22:39, serves as a guiding principle for Christian conduct, including not showing favouritism, living as those who will be judged under the law of liberty and showing mercy to people.
Showing favouritism for instance is a serious transgression of God's law because it damages the integrity of our witness, just as a single crack compromises a windowpane. Furthermore, the law of liberty frees us not to live as we please, but as we ought to, using liberty to serve others in love. Finally, showing mercy demonstrates the grace we've received from Christ.
Today, the evidence of loving our neighbours as ourselves can be demonstrated by actively seeking their good, showing kindness, mercy, and treating them with dignity. This, ultimately, will reflect the true freedom we profess in Christ.

ππ Key Verse: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:2).

All the twelve spies sent to search out the land of Canaan were all Israelites. Although they had things in common, Joshua and Caleb choose to be different. They believed God's promises when the other ten spies chose to doubt God's promises.
Both John the beloved and Judas Iscariot were Jesus' disciples. They both spent years with Jesus, but they made different choices and ended up differently. John made a godly decision, while Judas went the way of sin and betrayed his Master. Even though they had things in common, yet they made different choices.
Choose to be different. Live to obey and please God, no matter what others do. Do things because it is what God wants and commands, and not because many people are doing it. Be sure you are born again, and remain a friend of Jesus.
Desire a pure heart, and pray to have the experience. Reject distractions that can hinder you in your academics and spiritual life. God is ready to help you, if you will choose to be different - to live to please Him, and succeed.

ππTEXT: ACTS 11:19-25ππ
π MEMORY VERSE: "For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord" (ACTS 11:24).
Barnabas means, "The son of consolation." He lived according to his name. When persecution scattered believers out of Jerusalem, they went preaching everywhere. New churches were established in faraway countries. They needed mentors to strengthen the brethren, and Barnabas was sent to Antioch by the elders in Jerusalem.
He was sociable without corruption. He was full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom. He taught the converts to be steadfast in faith. He also mentored Saul (Paul), then a new convert, and brought him from Tarsus to Antioch. They grew spiritually and multiplied in membership because of Barnabas. Isn't that marvelous?
Every member of the Church is expected to be like Barnabas - "a good man". Timothy was also a 'good youth'; hence, he was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium (Acts 16:2-3).
Just imagine, believers in two cities recommended young Timothy to be a companion of an apostle despite the ethnic difference of his father - a Greek. He developed under Apostle Paul to become the Bishop of the Church in Ephesus. You can be another Barnabas.
