ABRAHAM GOES TO EGYPT 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🛣️👣🚶🏽🚶🏽♀️🐫🐪🐫🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽
📜📜GENESIS 12:10-20📜📜
🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻
🔑📖 Key Verse: "And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land" (Genesis 12:10).
📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
Bible history clearly shows us that Egypt was an idolatrous place. The leadership and citizens were not friendly. This equally applies to our present time, where some rulers oppress the poor, children and adults.
Abraham was a friend of God, but fear and famine made him to go down to Egypt to look for greener pasture. As a result of the search for a better life, he told a lie. This almost led to adultery and loss of his wife.
As friends of Jesus, while you desire the good things of life, you must beware of the evil things in the world. Avoid bad company. Keep off from people, events or things that will take you to the Egypt of today. Don't look back from following the path of holiness and the truth of God's word.
God in His mercy preserved Abraham and Sarah, and they inherited their covenant blessings. God does not take delight in your downfall, seek Him while He is near. If you have backslidden or you are lost in sin, confess your sins and call on Jesus to wash you with His blood. He will surely show mercy.
🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥
🅿️rayer: Dear Lord, help me not to go back to my sinful ways. 🙏🏽

TUESDAY 14TH JULY, 2026
REFLECT THE GLORY OF GOD 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🕯️💡🌟✨💥🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽
📜📜TEXT: MATTHEW 5:13-16📜📜
📖 MEMORY VERSE: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (MATTHEW 5:16).
Your life as a believer must reflect the glory of God by letting your light shine before men. Originally, God made man in His own image after His likeness (Genesis 1:26, 27). For Christians to reflect the glory of God, they must live a God-honouring life, depicting His character of love, kindness, moral integrity, holiness and justice.
Moreover, they must worship God, using their gifts to please Him and serve humanity in faithfulness. In line with God's word, do good to those who hate you and pray for those who persecute you as a way of reflecting the glory of our Father who is in heaven.
Being a young believer, it is your duty to influence the lives of other youths around you positively. You can be a good example to your peers by demonstrating practical holiness and overcoming sin. You are expected to be a pattern for the world. Corrupt or immoral behaviour is not supposed to be traced to any true child of God. The journey to life that reflects God's glory begins with salvation.
💬 QUOTE: God made man in His own image.
🏆 CHALLENGE: Be a light that reflects God's glory.
🙏🏽🙏🏽 PRAYER: Lord, let my life always radiate Your glory, in Jesus' name.

WHEN SILENCE IS GOLDEN 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🗣️❌🤫🤐🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽
📜📜TEXT: MARK 15:1-5📜📜
🔑📖 KEY VERSE: And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing" (MARK 15:3).
In a letter published in the London Evening News on 8 May 1919, an Australian journalist, Edward George Honey, had proposed a respectful silence to remember those who had given their lives in the First World War. This was brought to the attention of King George V and on 7 November 1919, the king issued a proclamation, which called for a two-minute silence. "All locomotion should cease, so that, in perfect stillness, the thoughts of everyone may be concentrated on reverent remembrance of the glorious dead." After the end of World War II in 1945, Armistice Day became Remembrance Day to include all those who had fallen in the two world wars and other conflicts. Since 1919, on the second Sunday of November, otherwise known as Remembrance Sunday, a two-minute silence has been observed at 11am at war memorials throughout Britain.
Remaining silent is sometimes more valuable than speaking. It suggests that not speaking can be a more effective or beneficial choice than expressing oneself. This is useful, not only to remember the dead, by observing a "moment of silence", but also to reinforce ourselves while facing life's challenges. Jesus was brought before Pilate by "the elders and scribes and the whole council" bound and humiliated. They wanted Pilate to sentence Him to death. But Jesus chose to keep silent before Pilate, in spite of many baseless accusations levelled against Him. Luke listed some of the allegations they made against Jesus. "And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King" (Luke 23:2). His silence surprised all and even Pilate marvelled.
Jesus chose to be silent in fulfilment of the Scriptures. "He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth..." (Isaiah 53:7). His silence was also in line with the plan and programme of God for His life. It was a choice, and a wise one at that, because He trusted the heavenly Father to perfect everything that concerns Him.
Silence is not a sign of stupidity. It is a sign of power that only highly disciplined people can enjoy. Silence allows spiritual warriors to pick their battles and focus on the essentials. Silence was the weapon God used to overcome at the battle of Jericho. God also told Israel to hold their peace and allow Him to fight for them at the crossing of the Red Sea (Exodus 14:14). Let us always learn to observe moments of silence, as we wait on God, and receive instructions to go forward in difficult times.
✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Silence Is never more golden than when it is God-honouring.

DANGER OF PRIDE - 1 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🤨⚠️‼️🛑❌⚖️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽
📜📜 ACTS 12:20-25 📜📜
🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻
🔑📖 Key Verse: "And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost" (Acts 12:23).
📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
Herod was the king of Judea during the time of the apostles. He was a very wicked king who ordered James to be killed and Peter to be arrested and put in jail. He planned to kill Peter too, but the Church prayed, and Peter was miraculously delivered.
At this point, God did not bring judgment upon Herod, probably to give him a chance to repent. Yet, Herod hardened his heart and became proud. He had no regard for the miracle of the deliverance of Peter.
Now, the people gathered to tell him that he is equal with God. Instead of Herod to reject such praise, he was happy. He did not think of giving the glory to God. An angel of the Lord was sent to deliver Peter, while an angel of the Lord was also sent to strike down Herod the proud king. He was thereafter eaten up by worms.
The Bible says that "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18). Pride is not the nature of God, and anyone who does not manifest the nature of God cannot see God at last. Having the nature of God starts when a sinner repents and surrenders his life to Christ.
A child of God will in humility always give glory to God for all that he is able to achieve and become in life. Are you proud because of the achievements of your parents, or because you are an 'A' student? Reject pride and be humble.
🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥

RECONCILIATION BY CHRIST'S ATONEMENT 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️✝️🩸🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽
📜📜TEXT: ROMANS 5:10-12📜📜
📖 MEMORY VERSE: "For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life" (ROMANS 5:10).
Reconciliation is the act of getting two or more warring or feuding parties to settle their differences amicably. Reconciliation takes place between friends, in families, ethnic groups, and nations. Thich Nhat Hanh once said, "The practice of peace and reconciliation is one of the most vital and artistic of human actions."
Without reconciliation, there will be friction in human relationships; and same is true with human relationship with God. Human reconciliation may not be perfect, but the one through Christ's atonement is perfect.
Friend, humanity was in enmity with God because of sin, and separated from Him. But Jesus came from heaven to reconcile us to God by shedding His blood on the Cross of Calvary. If you confess your sins and receive Christ, our only advocate, you will become free from sin and be reconciled to God.
Reconciliation with God brings forgiveness and peace to your soul, and prepares you for God's unlimited blessings - sanctification, Holy Ghost Baptism, and breakthrough in all areas of your life. Remember, access to God's throne is only through Christ's atonement. Be reconciled with your Maker through Christ's atonement!
💬 QUOTE: Christ's atonement is perfect.
🏆 CHALLENGE: Be reconciled to God through Christ today.

BELIEVING THE SPIES 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️✝️🩸🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽
📜📜TEXT: JOSHUA 2:1-7📜📜
🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country" (JOSHUA 2:2).
In his autobiography published in Moscow in 1967, the disgraced former British spy Kim Philby told the story of his life as a double agent for both the British Spy agency MI6 and the Soviet KGB. The book recounts how he passed crucial information to the Soviets, compromising Western operations during the Cold War. It provides Philby's own narrative of his motivations, actions and mind-set as a long-term mole until his cover was blown and he escaped to Moscow where he eventually died. Spies live a dangerous life and can put the security of nations and people at risk.
As the new leader for the nation of Israel, Joshua wanted first-hand information about the security and other social conditions in Jericho before launching his attack. For this, he sent two unnamed men to "go view the land". The men went, but unfortunately, their cover was blown almost as soon as they entered the city. They hid in Rahab's house and she, amazingly, cooperated with their covert operations by misdirecting the emissaries of the king of Jericho when they came to her.
The book of Hebrews commended Rahab for her faith in the God of the spies. "By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace" (Hebrews 11:31). The spies apparently entered Jericho in the evening and not long after, the men of Jericho rightly located where they were. Rahab chose to cast her lot with the two spies and rescue them. This act of faith turned Rahab the harlot to Rahab the forgiven, who became one of the heroines of faith in the Bible.
Each day, we have opportunities to relate with people by faith. You can, like Rahab, believe God's messengers, even when all the prognosis show them as underdogs. You should not ignore the saints and pitch your tent with the king of Jericho because he has the trappings of power on his side. Your choice matters because you are dealing with God's secret agents who may determine your destiny. Be intentional in pitching your tent on God's side.
✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: No one can ever perish trusting the Lord.

🔑📖 Key Verse: "And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready" (Luke 14:17).
📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
The grocery store is like a supermarket where one can buy basic things for use at home. It ranges from fruits, nuts, grains and all types of food items that the body needs to function well. There are grocery stores in many neighbourhoods. With them scattered here and there, shopping is made easy.
However, it is not everyone that can benefit from the good things in the grocery store, no matter how near it may be to him or her. An individual has to make up his or her mind to patronize the store in order to purchase needed items.
Our God in heaven has a large storehouse filled with everything we desire or need. However, God's large store contains much more precious things than food and drinks. This is the important message the parable in our Bible passage is passing across to us.
The storehouse of God is filled with every spiritual blessing that we need, namely, salvation, sanctification, Holy Ghost Baptism, fruit of the Spirit, gift of the spirit, and Christian virtues. All things are ready for you to possess.
You do not need to pay anything because Jesus has paid the bill a long time ago. Do not reject the offer like those who gave excuses on why they could not honour the invitation. Come to Jesus now, pray, ask, and you will receive.
🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥
🅿️rayer: Lord, I surrender and accept your invitation to possess my possession. 🙏🏽

READINESS FOR THE RAPTURE 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️✝️🆙⬆️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽
📜📜TEXT: MATTHEW 24:40-44📜📜
📖 MEMORY VERSE: "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh" (MATTHEW 24:44).
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is an event that every believer must be prepared for. In Matthew 24:40-44, Jesus warns that His return will be sudden and unexpected. Two will be in the field - one will be taken, the other left. Two will be grinding at the mill - one will be taken, the other left. This highlights the importance of readiness, as there will be no time for last-minute preparations.
To be ready for the rapture, one must have a genuine relationship with Christ through salvation. Living a life of holiness, prayer, and obedience to God's Word ensures that we are constantly prepared for His coming. The parable of the wise and foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13) further emphasises the necessity of being spiritually vigilant.
Are you ready for Christ's return? The distractions of the world can make people complacent, but Jesus instructs us to watch and be sober. The Bible assures us that those who are faithful will be caught up with Him in glory. Let us live daily with eternity in view, ensuring that our hearts are right with God.
💬 QUOTE: His return will be sudden.
🏆 CHALLENGE: Live in readiness for Christ's return.

📜📜TEXT: EXODUS 26:1-14📜📜
🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them" (EXODUS 26:1).
Sir William Osler was an eminent professor of medicine at Oxford University. In demonstrating his lesson on the necessity of observing details to his eager students, he dipped a finger in a bottle containing urine and then into his mouth. He passed the bottle round and bade the students to do exactly what he did. After each of them in turn had dipped a finger in the bottle and bravely sampled the fluid, the professor announced their failure in observation. They did not observe that he put his index finger into the bottle, but his middle finger into his mouth!
God is a God of details. This is clear in our text where He gave Moses instructions regarding the making of the tabernacle. Observe the minute and accurate description given here concerning both the outer and inner aspects of the tabernacle. The inner part was to comprise ten curtains with specified length, loops and clasps. The outer coverings were to be made of goat's skin, comprising eleven curtains. A cover was also to be made to secure the tabernacle from the weather.
The specifications for the tabernacle emphasised both aesthetics and functionality. The finest materials and colours were prescribed to reflect the glory and majesty of God, whose dwelling place the tabernacle represented. The house of God today should attract no less attention. The tabernacle was to be designed as a movable structure because Israel was still journeying in the wilderness. A permanent temple was built when they eventually settled in their promised land. The curtains were to be embroidered with cherubim - an indication of the angelic ministry to God and His people.
In matters of lifestyle, Christian service and worship, we must not resort to pragmatism and doing things as we see fit or in sync with the popular winds. We must pay attention to detail and ensure we build according to the divine pattern spelt out in God's word. Those who gloss over many things and assure themselves that "it doesn't matter" will eventually discover to their disappointment that God is interested in details.
✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God measures our obedience by the "little things" He demands.
