Today, Lightspeed is announcing that we’re leading a $35M Series A in Pika Labs, the company that’s redesigning the entire video-making and editing experience with #AI. 어디서 적었는지 기억 안나지만... 잘 간직하고 있던 말. "I think failing is the best way to keep you grounded, curious, and humble. Success is dangerous because often you don¹t understand why you succeeded. You almost always know why you¹ve failed. You have a lot of time to think about it." 이래서 누가 어떻게 성공했다고 ... 또 할수 있다고 확신해서 크게 이야기를 하면 도망간다.

우리 서비스에 어떤 의뢰가 많아지는지를 보면, 업계 트렌드를 대강 미루어짐작할 수 있다. 하반기 의뢰가 정말 많았던 영역을 추려보면, 요즘 회사들이 어떤 것에 정성을 쏟고 있는지 알 수 있다. 1. SEO(검색최적화) - 웹/ 앱 가리지 않고 - 검색최적화야말로 '복리'에 가까운 영역이라, 늦을수록 손해다 라는 말씀들을 정말 많이들 들어보셔서 다들 시도를 적극적으로 하시는 듯 한 영역. - 그럼에도 솔직히 아직까지도 한국에서 특히 구글 관점의 SEO는 무주공산이라는 관점이 지배적인것 같다. - 결국 누가 빠르게 사이트 구조를 다시 개편하고, 검색 최적화가 잘 되게 컨텐츠를 차곡차곡 쌓아갈수 있느냐의 싸움인데다 - 다른 영역 보다 상대적으로 거의 교과서적인 방법론이 자리잡고 있고, 더구나 경쟁사의 SEO도 중요해서(상위에 올라간 컨텐츠, 특히 롱테일 영역 컨텐츠는 정말 왠만해서는 내려오지 않음) 결국 시도하는 속도가 성패를 가르는 영역이었다. 2. CRM + 데이터분석 - 훨씬 더 '메시지' 중심으로 - 단계별로 해야할일이 명확하고 이미 어느정도는 수행해왔던 회사들이 있었다. 카톡 플친 모으고, 데이터 활용 가능성 낮은 타 플랫폼에서 자사 서비스로 회원 옮겨오기, 유저 데이터 분석해서 seg 나누기, seg별 메시지 만들어서 캠페인 돌려보기, 결과 분석하고 다시 이 사이클 돌려보기 등 - 다만, 차이가 있다면 예전에는 유저 세그 잘 나누고 데이터만 잘 분석해도 절반의 성공이라고 했는데, 최근에 메시지가 훨씬 중요해졌다. 아무리 유저 잘 쪼개놔도 메시지가 구리면 당연히 반응하지 않는다. - 당장 특별한 메시지가 없어도, 타임세일 등 할인 혜택으로 유저를 재진입시켜왔던 방정식은 유효하나, 대신 프로모션 설계에 대해 훨씬 더 정교함이 요구된다. 프로모션 설계에 대한 고민이 많아지고 계시는것 같다. - 이런 배움들은 복리와도 같아서, 작년 말부터 CRM을 시도했던 회사들은 빠르게 시행착오를 거치면서 메시지 설계에 훨씬 집중하고 있다. 아직 시도를 안 해봤거나, 단기 성과가 안나와서 실망한 나머지 계속된 개선을 중지했던 회사들은 부랴부랴 시작하고 있고. 3. 해외 진출/ 성과 개선- 특히 커머스사 - 아직 끝나지 않았지만, 중대형 커머스사의 23년 성패는 해외실적에서 좌우될듯 - 가장 인기가 많았던 지역을 순서대로 나열하면 북미 > 일본 > 동남아시아인데 북미는 아마존, 일본은 큐텐, 동남아는 틱톡에 대한 의뢰가 정말 많다. - 미국이야 워낙 거대한 시장이기 때문에 아마존만 잘해놔도 정말 도움이 될 수 있지만, - 일본은 큐텐이 워낙 한계(10대 중심, 저렴한 가격군, 사실상 코스메 단독)가 뚜렷하기 때문에 큐텐을 의뢰하셔도 타 플랫폼에 대한 고려, 자사몰 운영 등에 대한 프로젝트들로 시야를 넓혀드려왔다. - 동남아시아는 묘하게도 커머스 보다는 컨텐츠 플랫폼(틱톡)이 훨씬 중요하다. 그래서 틱톡 쪽으로 의뢰가 많이 들어오는 듯. 확신하건대, 24년은 비단 이 시장 뿐만 아니라, 전세계 시장에 걸쳐 틱톡의 해가 될 것이다.
