According to Saree, the aircraft was transporting a Houthi delegation to Tehran to attend the funeral of Ali Khamenei.
Saree also confirmed reports of air defense activity, corroborating earlier reporting by Rerum Novarum.

| 6 | 🇺🇸 U.S. Navy MH-60S Seahawk Goes Down In Arabian Sea on July 1st
A search is underway for a missing aircrew member after a U.S. Navy MH-60S Seahawk helicopter assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) “conducted an emergency water landing in the Arabian Sea,” the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet stated in a post on X. “There is no indication the emergency was caused by hostile action.”
“Three of the helicopter’s four crew members have been recovered and are in stable condition aboard George H. W. Bush,” 5th Fleet added. “U.S. Navy assets in the region are currently searching for other aircrewmen still missing. The cause of the incident is under investigation.”
The incident took place at on July 1st 3:30 a.m. EDT, 5th Fleet stated.
As of July 4th, the missing crewman has not been found and the search is still ongoing.

Saudi Arabia is said to have donated 5 used Boeing 777-268ERs to Iran's Mahan Air and two of them were seen at Tehran's Mehrabad airport.
The Emiratis are said to deliver another 5 airlines, also Boeing 777s. The aircraft were first flown to Oman and then to Iran.

The Saudi Air Force called off the mission after Houthi air defenses attempted to shoot down the jets and threatened to retaliate with a missile attack on Riyadh.
This incident comes amidst heightened tensions and a mass mobilization effort of Yemeni fighters in Houthi territory and the territories controlled by the internationally recognised and Saudi-backed Yemeni government and the territories of the now-defunct Southern Transitional Council.
