President Trump just announced that the US has reached a deal to secure "majority control" of over 65 billion barrels of Venezuelan oil reserves.
Furthermore, the US currently has ~46 billion barrels of proven crude oil reserves.
Combined with the 65 billion barrels covered by this agreement, the US would have domestic reserves plus control over ~111 billion barrels of oil.
To put this into perspective, the entire world has roughly 1.57 TRILLION barrels of proven crude oil reserves.
In other words, the US is set to control ~7.1% of all proven oil reserves in the world under this new agreement with Venezuela.
At ~111 billion barrels, the US would be almost exactly in-line with the United Arab Emirates, which has 113 billion barrels of proven crude reserves, and it would exceed Kuwait's 102 billion barrels.
Assuming the agreement is structured as outlined in President Trump’s announcement, the implications for global energy markets will be enormous.

On August 27, ICE arrested Milo Yiannopoulos, an illegal alien from the United Kingdom, at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) in Kenner, Louisiana. Yiannopoulos legally entered the country on May 14, 2019, through New York City, New York. He chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws.
Yiannopoulos was issued a final order of removal by an Immigration Judge on July 22, after failing to show up for his immigration hearing. He will remain in ICE custody pending removal.
Being in detention is a choice. We encourage all illegal aliens to take control of their departure with the CBP Home App. The United States is offering illegal aliens $3,000 and a free flight to self-deport now. We encourage every person here illegally to take advantage of this offer and reserve the chance to come back to the U.S. the right legal way to live the American dream. If not, you will be arrested and deported without a chance to return.

‘And among other important issues and topics is the application of technologies and innovations proposed by our young elite. Sometimes, timely use of this advantage and abandoning the usual routine and customary habits in a matter makes effective leaps in the path of progress and excellence of the country. This is conceivable in various branches of power production, including agriculture and industry, culture and education, communication and social affairs.
Among the other fundamental issues of the country that must always be at the center of attention is observing unity and caring for social cohesion. Every action in each of the cultural, social, political, security, and macro-economic areas must be taken with consideration of the attachment related to social cohesion. Some measures that may appear to have supporters among some segments of the country, if they lack this appendix or if what is formulated as an appendix in that case is neglected as an action, can cause harm to those segments and others.
Undoubtedly, any disappointing speech and weakening of national and public cohesion and any kind of imaginary contradictions such as war or negotiation, consensus or extremism, compromise or war-mongering that has caused direct or indirect damage to our beloved people in the past can have the same effect from now on.
Therefore, I firmly declare that committing anything that is detrimental to social cohesion is prohibited.
And among other important issues, is the trans-strategic attention to the issue of culture, education and upbringing. ‘The dear people of Iran, who have revealed their true caliber in the past six months in various manifestations of jihad with the enemy, their presence in the streets, their solidarity, empathy and companionship, deserve to feel the service of the responsible branches and institutions in the Islamic Republic on the path to achieving the desired level of this sacred system and the high dignity of the nation.

Among the necessities is the need to pay serious attention to the chain of economic-livelihood challenges such as inflation, unemployment, price management and the market for goods and services, and special attention to some other elements of the economy such as GDP growth, increasing investment and directing it towards useful and essential areas, production boom, gradual abandonment of the dollar, and ultimately, placing the economy at the center of a set of resistance economy policies.
The main key in this regard to solving all these issues is to rely more and more on domestic production.

Mohsen Rezaei, the new Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, prepared a list of conditions to convey to Washington and was for now permitting limited, temporary passage of ships through the middle section of the strait, with future traffic dependent on progress towards an understanding with Washington.
"He must prove his seriousness in implementing the commitments," Rezaei said of the US position, adding that a "deep valley of mistrust" separated the two sides.
He said the strait could not be separated from the overall regional confrontation and that Washington had to demonstrate good faith before any new trust could form.
Among the conditions Iran raises in any understanding with the United States, Rezaei listed a halt to fighting across West Asia, especially in Lebanon, and an Israeli withdrawal from areas of Lebanese territory it had taken.
The demand to remove the IDF from Lebanese territory was agreed to by the U.S. back in June when the two countries signed the MoU, the U.S. refused to keep its side of the bargain and didn't pressure Israel to withdraw from Lebanon, being one of the causes which led to the collapse of the MoU.
Now, in addition to the IDF withdrawing from Lebanon, Iran demands that the IDF withdraw from Gaza, which had not been included in the MoU. Mohsen Rezaei also demanded that Israel stops its attacks on Syria and return all territories it occupied.
Rezaei also reissued his threat to resume missile attacks on Israel if the IAF bombs Beirut or its suburbs.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said diplomacy could be revived only if the United States accepted that pressure did not work, after talks with Qatar's prime minister in Tehran, in a post on X on August 27.
The comment casts Iran's terms for any return to negotiations in stark form as the war with the United States and Israel nears its sixth month, with Qatar among the mediators pressing both sides back towards talks that collapsed after a June memorandum of understanding. The message also comes as Iranian officials have cautiously welcomed a move to away from war with the US as Washington continues to add further constraints on Iran's economy.
Araghchi said he had held what he called creative discussions with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and that putting diplomacy back on track was not impossible.
He said it hinged on Washington building trust, speaking respectfully, acknowledging Iran's rights and upholding its commitments.
