I will never forget the sheer insanity of the masses and so called “experts” during COVID. It was truly eye opening to find out that people who I once considered were smart were in fact retarded

🇺🇦⚡- Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has resigned in an intentional government shake-up ordered by President Volodymyr Zelensky. President Zelensky will offer Svyrydenko a role in the new government and is considering Sergii Koretskyi, the CEO of Naftogaz, the largest national oil and gas company in Ukraine, as Svyrydenko's replacement.

I often have a habit of developing great expectations for Russian spring offensives, and then, each they always prove to be a complete wash out. But with all these new production T-90MS and modernised T-72B3's with the new active protection and electronic warfare modules Uralgonzavod has been kicking out and not appearing at the front, maybe next year we might actually see the Russian army actually achieve something of note for once. Or we'll just be disappointed again

Also, it has been a slow burn, but Ukrainian counter attacks in the Krasny Lyman area forced a Russian withdrawal of it's DRSGH units that had entered the city. Skirmishes and small scale fighting continues in the outskirts/forests to the east on the main road to Kreminna

The situation at the front and the war in general is probably in it's most tenuous phase for a number of years. Russia has suffered punishing interdiction strikes from the Ukrainian drone program in the mid range level across Zaporozhia-Kherson and Crimea. This has been very painful for Russia to sustain, Crimea is in a profound fuel and energy crisis, water services are failing at an increasing pace and the Russian attempts to breach the developing drone blockade via the Azov Sea, has created a target rich environment for Ukrainian air and sea drones on Russian costal tankers I am sure I don't need to say much about the strategic strikes by Ukraine on Russian oil infrastructure, which I have commented at length on. The Russian army continues to inexorably grind forward in the east. Russian forward infiltration troops are reported to have once again, begin entering the outskirts of Kupyansk, and the front slowly trundles closer to Slovyansk and Kramatorsk. Russian forces continue clearing operations in the north west sections of Kostiantynivka and some lead elements are starting to probe up the motorway towards Osykove and fan out into the western flank towards the village of Mykolapilliyia Pretty much all offensive action by the Russians in Zaporozhia beyond squad level have ceased due to the logistics situation. The race at the moment is on for Ukraine to find a way to exploit the current, relative advantage it has over Russia in it's drone and interdiction efforts and the addition of new weapons and systems from Turkey and America that Trump spearheaded in Ankara, and the ability for Russia to adapt, mitigate and find either a way to establish a credible deterrent to these Ukrainian efforts or a hard counter to deal with or significantly diminish the pain they are inflicting. We are increasingly expecting a new round of mobilisation in Russia for late summer or early Autumn, the logic being, that these new units could train, equip and prepare the new formations over the relatively quiet winter period for a new offensive season come Spring 2027. This is probably the strategic calculation in Kiev to try and push the drone strikes as far and as hard as they can to either force an end to the war or significantly complicate a new Russian mobilisation effort.

🇨🇳🇷🇺⚡️ — China is quietly expanding its influence inside Russia beyond President Vladimir Putin, cultivating relationship
🇨🇳🇷🇺⚡️ — China is quietly expanding its influence inside Russia beyond President Vladimir Putin, cultivating relationships with officials and elites who could shape the country after he leaves power, WSJ reports. At the same time, Moscow has detected growing Chinese espionage efforts targeting mid-level government officials but has avoided publicly confronting Beijing for fear of damaging the increasingly unequal relationship. The imbalance was highlighted during Putin's May visit to China, when Moscow failed to secure a long-sought deal for the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline. Chinese officials demanded Russian gas at below-market domestic prices and told Moscow not to raise the project again unless the terms changed. Putin ultimately left Beijing with 42 agreements and joint declarations — but no pipeline deal. China has also grown uneasy over Russia's deepening military relationship with North Korea. Beijing, which has long viewed Pyongyang as within its own orbit, is particularly concerned that Russian technology transfers could strengthen North Korea's nuclear or submarine capabilities and push South Korea and Japan closer to the U.S. Putin has also privately pushed for a trilateral Russia-China-North Korea summit, but Beijing rejected the proposal.

The ship was infamous for it's participation in the 2018 Kursk strait incident when it along with Russian naval units sized Ukrainian naval vessels attempting to transit from the Sea of Azov into the Black sea
