| 3 |  🇺🇳🇮🇱🇵🇸⚡️ — A UN commission of inquiry has concluded that Israel has deliberately targeted Palestinian children in Gaza, finding that the actions amount to genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes, while also concluding that war crimes have been committed in the occupied West Bank.
The report says that Israeli authorities and security forces inflicted death, severe physical harm, and psychological trauma on large numbers of children as part of a strategy to “destroy the future of the Palestinians in Gaza by targeting their children.”
It found that Israel has targeted Palestinian children in Gaza directly by shooting at their vital organs using precision weapons, such as quadcopter drones and snipers, and by using high-impact weapons in strikes on residential buildings, schools, and displacement camps crowded with children.
The commission, established by the United Nations Human Rights Council, said the protection and survival of Palestinian children are inseparable from the future of the Palestinian people.
It also alleged torture and sexual abuse against Palestinian minors, especially adolescent boys, in both Gaza and the occupied West Bank in Israeli detention and described widespread disruption to education and healthcare.
