Imām Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: "Every time the servant has good thoughts about Allah, perfects his hope in Him, and is truthful in his trust in Him, then indeed Allah will never disappoint him nor let him down, for He does not break the hope of the one who hopes in Him, nor does He allow the deeds of the one who relies upon Him to go to waste." [الفوائد]

Imām Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: "From Allah's mercy upon His servant is that He tests him with a trial that he cannot disclose to others, nor can he find anyone who truly understands it, so that his heart does not become attached to anyone besides Allah, to whom he turns and complains." Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: "Whoever has wronged you and then comes to you apologising, humility requires that you accept his apology, whether it is truthful or not, and leave what is in his heart to Allah. A sign of generosity and humility is that if you notice a flaw in his apology, you neither expose it nor hold it against him." [Madarij As-Salikin, 2/338]

Shaykh Ibn Al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله said: "Do not despair, even if the answer to your Du'a is delayed. Allah has not commanded you to make Du'a except that He wants to answer you. Do not be hasty. Wait, and persist in making Du'a to Allah. Perhaps Allah delays answering you so that you increase in Du'a, and thus your good deeds increase." [شرح رياض الصالحين ٤/٢٩٣]

Ath-Thaʿālibī رحمه الله said: “A man does not find comfort in anything the way he finds comfort with a righteous and supportive wife. No one cares for another as much as a righteous woman cares for her husband, showing kindness to him and to his family. A man's household and dignity are hardly complete without a noble, caring, righteous, and modest woman. Otherwise, his affairs become disturbed and his life falls into disorder.” [Al-Latā'if waz-Zarā'if, 1/164]
