Qatādah رحمه الله said:

Whoever is given money or beauty, clothes and knowledge and then does not humble himself, it will harm him on the Day of Resurrection!

[التواضع والخمول: ١٤٢]

من لا يرحم الناس، Whoever is not merciful to the people, لا يرحمه الله. Allah will not be merciful to him. [متفق عليه]

لكن لو الزوج أمر زوجته بأمر مُباح فلم تطعه فهي عاصية However, if the husband commands his wife with something mubāh (permissible), and she does not obey him, then she is sinning by doing so. فهي عاصية She is sinning by doing so. فكيف وهو يأمرها بطاعة الله عز وجل So how about if he is commanding her to worship Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, وبما هو الأفضل عند العلماء جميعاً ألا وهو ستر الوجه Commanding her with what is best in the eyes of all al-ʿulamāʾ (the people of knowledge), which is covering her face. فيجب عليها أن تستر وجهها So it is obligatory upon her to cover her face (by obeying him). Funny story about supplicating for your brother in his absence: A man was sitting with his wife, and he remembered his friend whose wife had passed away. He wanted to make Duʿāʾ for his friend that Allāh blesses him with a righteous wife. His wife remembered a Hadith and stopped him from making the Duʿāʾ. Punishment of the Grave! They Heard Screams From His Grave, So Dug it up and Found This! - Shaykh Ibn Baaz رحمه الله

Our brothers and sisters in Sudan are not second-class Muslims. So why is there so little concern for their suffering? Is it because their hardship isn’t seen as a trend, or because the media doesn’t talk about it? Or maybe because it’s ignored by those with deviant agendas? This lack of attention and care for our brothers and sisters, wherever they may be, comes from our own shortcomings, from our distance from Tawhid and the Sunnah. Even among those who claim to follow Salafiyyah, how many truly live by it? The calamities happening in Sudan today could happen to any nation tomorrow. Health, wealth and stability don’t last forever, so don’t be deceived by temporary comfort. So now is the time to learn, practice and spread Salafiyyah to whoever you can. It doesn’t take much effort, especially in our time with so many means of communication. And leave aside the methods that don’t work and have no place in Islam, like protests and boycotts. Instead, focus on spreading Tawhid. O’ Allah, have mercy on our brothers and sisters in Sudan and in every land where Muslims are suffering. O’ Allah, ease their pain, relieve their distress and grant them safety, unity and steadfastness upon Your religion. O’ Allah, replace their fear with security, their hunger with provision and their weakness with strength. O’ Allah, guide our hearts back to Tawhid and the Sunnah, and make us among those who sincerely support Your religion with truth and action. آمیــــــن – مأخوذ من قطرات العلم

اللهم اجزِ كلَّ المسلمينَ والمسلماتِ، وكافئهم بالإحسانِ إحسانًا. O Allah, recompense every Muslim and Muslimah, and reward their good with good. وعنِ الإساءةِ عفوًا وغُفرانًا. And upon their evil, grant pardon and forgiveness.

يَــا ابـنَ آدَمَ، إِنَّـمَـا أَنـتَ أَيَّــامٌ، فَـإِذَا ذَهَـبَ يَـوْمٌ ذَهَـبَ بَـعـضُـكَ.

“O’ son of Ādam, you are only days, every time a day goes by, a piece of you goes.” سير أعلام النبلاء (٤/٥٨٥)

Shaykh Abdul Razzaq Al-Badr حفظه الله: “A successful Muslim knows with certainty that no one can bring benefit or harm, give or withhold except Allah; Therefore, he singles out Allah alone with fear, hope, love, asking, supplication, prayer, humility, and submission. We hope that Allah, Glorified be He, will grant us success in achieving this and not leave us to depend on anyone other than Him, for He, Glorified be He, is the best to be asked, the best to be hoped for, and the best to be sought for help.” [ فـقه الأدعيـة والأذكـار ]

اللهم أحسن ختامنا واجعل أخر كلامنا من الدنيا لا إله إلا ﷲ.. O Allah, grant us a good ending, and make the last words we utter in this world: Lā ilāha illā Allāh.

°° علَّمتني هذه الآية: "فاستجبنا له ونجَّيناه من الغمِّ وكذلك ننجي المؤمنين " [سورة الأنبياء: ٨٨] -وهذا وعد وبشارة لكلِّ مؤمن وقع في شدَّة وغمٍّ، أنَّ الله تعالى سيُنجِّيه منها ويكشف عنه ويخفِّف لإيمانه.. كما فعل بيونس عليه السَّلام. الإمام السَّعدي رحمه الله تيسير الكريم الرَّحمن (٥٢٩). This verse taught me: "So We answered him and saved him from the distress, and thus do We save the believers."  [Surah Al-Anbiya: 88].  - this is a promise and good news for every believer who falls into hardship and distress , that Allah the Almighty will save him from it, reveal his situation, and ease it because his faith.. as He did with Jonah, peace be upon him.. Imam Al-Saadi, may Allah have mercy on him.
