"Truth-seeking" for some people is like treasure hunting; they want to find it so they can be famous and special. Such people do not seek Truth really, for if they don't find it (and surely they won't) they seek instead controversial, provocative, and notorious ideas that stir the public opinion around them to make them famous or seem deep and mysterious. Their primal motive is not love for the truth, but the desire to feel superior to the ordinary man, because they believe their treasure hunting allows them access to the exclusive club of wise and distinguished men. بنفس الوقت، ما كاعد أبرر التسخيت والكسل. ماعرف عن باقي التخصصات، بس عالأقل بالنسبة للطب، انت بالنهاية لازم تقرة، مو بالضرورة ملازم الكلية، ومو لأن عندك امتحان لو علمود معدلك التراكمي، بس لأن عندك مسؤولية تجاه المرضى اللي رح يوكعون جوة إيدك ورة كم سنة.

باعتباري ممّن عاشوا الحياة الدراسية بطريقتين، مرة بصفتي سجاج درجاته عالية وما عنده تراكمات، ومرة بصفتي سختجي يقرة قبل الامتحان بيوم (ويحصل خوش درجة، عادةً)
أحب أكول الآتي: نجاحك بالكلية ما يدل على كونك ذكي أو ذو قيمة. كل شخص داوم بالكلية يعرف أنّ مرات ممكن تنجح بس لأن حالفك الحظ وقريت اسئلة مكررة واجت نفسها بالامتحان، أو قريت كم ملزمة وصادف أنهن نفسهن اللي الدكتور جاب منهن الاسئلة. جزء مو هيّن من نجاحك الأكاديمي (وأيضًا من فشلك) هو وليد الصدفة، لهذا ماكو داعي للنرجسية والتكبر لما يكون مستواك زين، وبنفس الوقت ماكو داعي لجلد الذات والتقليل من قيمة ذاتك لما يكون مستواك متدني. أحيانًا يكون نجاحك وفشلك معتمد عليك وأحيانًا الأمر مجرد مصادفة، وغالبًا هو مزيج من الإثنين. أعرف أنّ الدراسة الأكاديمية لازم تكون meritocracy بحيث نجاحك يعتمد على مهارتك وذكاءك، بس بالنهاية هو هذا الواقع. لا تاخذ الموضوع بجدية زايدة.
شغلة أخيرة: الدراسة الجامعية حاليًا تخليك تحصل شهادة، بس ما تخليك تصير إنسان ناجح بتخصصك. وهي تساعدك إجتماعيًا وربما إقتصاديًا (أو العكس إذا جنت موازي/أهلي)، لكن يبقى جزء مهم ما تفيدك بيه الدراسة؛ شخصيتك وأخلاقك هاي مسؤوليتك انت، ومستواك الأكاديمي مهما علا أو انخفض، فهو ما يمثل قيمتك الحقيقية، وما تكدر تطالب بالإحترام أو تريد الناس يعتبروك ذكي أو مثقف لمجرد أنك حامل شهادة وطالب كلية (حتى لو كلية طب)، إحترام الناس إلك لازم تستحقه بأخلاقك وانعكاسها بكلامك وأفعالك.
