A teacher who was stabbed while protecting students during a knife attack at a secondary school in Manchester has been named.
Maysum Abdullah, 27, has been called a “hero” after he intervened in the attack at Co-op Academy Manchester on Plant Hill Road in Blackley on Tuesday.
Maysum who is now recovering at home said he was still ‘trying to process’ the incident.
His wife Saima said: “My husband entered teaching to make a positive difference in young people's lives and he is truly a hero for protecting and safeguarding those children.
“Our prayers are with the other two pupils who also suffered injuries and to all the students and staff who witnessed such a traumatic event.”
A 14-year-old girl has been charged with three counts of attempted murder following the incident and is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on Friday.

All praise is for Allāh, Ar-Raḥmān, Ar-Raḥīm, Al-Karīm, and Al-Malik. To You belongs all praise and all thanks. There is none worthy of worship except You.
O Allāh, send Your peace and blessings upon Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ.
O Allāh, You are Ar-Razzāq and Al-Wahhāb. Grant us abundant, lawful, and blessed provision, place barakah in our earnings, and make us independent through what You have made halal.
O Allāh, bless us with righteous spouses who will be the coolness of our eyes, a source of tranquillity, faith, and happiness, and help us draw closer to You. Bless our marriages, our families, and our homes with love, mercy, and barakah.
O Allāh, You are Al-Fattāḥ and Al-Laṭīf. Relieve us of our burdens, ease our worries, remove our hardships, and make every difficulty easy for us.
O Allāh, You are Al-Ghafūr, At-Tawwāb, and Al-ʿAfūw. Forgive our sins, accept our repentance, and purify our hearts.
O Allāh, accept our prayers, fasting, charity, and all our acts of worship. Make them sincere for Your sake alone and among the deeds that weigh heavily on our scales on the Day of Judgment.
O Allāh, accept the duʿāʾs of our parents for us, reward them abundantly for all they have done, forgive them, have mercy upon them, and raise their ranks in this life and the Hereafter.
Indeed, You are As-Samīʿ, Al-Mujīb, and Al-Qadīr.
Āmīn.

“The first thing for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayer. If it is complete, then the voluntary (prayers) will also be recorded for him (as an increase).
If it is not complete then Allāh will say to His angels: ‘Look and see whether you find any voluntary prayers for My slave, and take them to make up what is lacking from his obligatory prayers.’ Then all his deeds will be reckoned in like manner.”

CCTC footage captures the moment the home of an imam in Bolton was targeted in a firebomb attack.
The Imam. Hassan Patel who lives with his wife, four children and nephew all managed to escape uninjured.
The imam said his family were "horrified as to why we were targeted" and had been left "feeling shocked and unsafe in our home - no individual or family should have to experience such fear and uncertainty".
The imam's brother posted on social media: "We humbly request your duas for the safety, protection, and well-being of the family, as well as for the protection and safety of everyone in our communities.”

The Heritage Commission of Saudi Arabia announced the discovery of rocks with inscriptions dating back to the earliest days of Islām. The rocks were discovered in the Al-Mahd governorate in the region of Madīnah.
The most prominent incription bears the name of the second Caliph, ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه.
The inscription reads: “Allāh is the guardian of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb in this world and the Hereafter. There is no god but Allāh.”

A seven-month-old Palestinian baby, Sam Abu Haikal, was killed after Isr*eli troops opened fire on his family's car in the Tel Rumeida area of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. According to his family, they had slowed down and stopped after seeing Isr*eli soldiers ahead when gunfire struck the vehicle. A bullet reportedly passed through the windshield, wounded Sam's father and mother, and fatally struck the infant, who later died from his injuries.
The Isr*eli military said soldiers believed the vehicle was accelerating towards them and fired after perceiving a threat. However, the army later acknowledged that the casualties were uninvolved civilians and launched an investigation into the incident. Footage released after the shooting appears to show the family's car slowing down near the military position, raising further questions about the army's initial account and prompting renewed calls for accountability.

We did not send messengers before you [O Prophet] except mere men inspired by Us. If you [polytheists] do not know this already, then ask those who have knowledge of the Scriptures.
We did not give those messengers supernatural bodies that did not need food, nor were they immortal.
Then We fulfilled Our promise to them, saving them along with whoever We willed and destroying the transgressors.
We have surely revealed to you a Book, in which there is glory for you. Will you not then understand?

“If you were not to commit sins, Allah would have swept you out of existence and would have replaced you by another people who have committed sin, and then asked forgiveness from Allah, and He would have granted them pardon.”

🚨 Ladybird Books, one of the UK’s largest book publishers for children shared an LGBT Pride post featuring a ‘Muslim’ woman wearing a hijab.
The post contained an image of a Muslim woman wearing a hijab and carrying a baby, alongside another woman, depicting them as a couple. it included the caption: "Everyone should be free to be themselves, no matter who they are or who they love."
Homosexual acts and same sex relationships are forbidden in Islam. Pride in any sin is an act of disbelief.

Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying that Allāh, the Exalted and Glorious, thus stated:
“I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit, and if he draws near Me by the cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two hands. And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him.”
