Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has suspended Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko from his post by presidential decree.
The move comes amid an escalating confrontation between the Prosecutor General’s Office and Ukraine’s anti-corruption agencies.
Earlier, NABU and SAPO launched Operation Carthage, alleging that a criminal group inside the Prosecutor General’s Office protected a network of scam call centers.
Kravchenko later submitted his resignation and accused the NABU chief of document forgery and a sham adoption — allegations rejected by the anti-corruption agencies.
On Sept. 14, Zelensky publicly called for Kravchenko’s dismissal, saying: “This prosecutor general has only one path: to leave his post.”

Russia destroyed an EVA sorting center in Odesa.
The facility was destroyed in a Russian missile attack at around 9 a.m. on Sept. 13, the company said.
EVA is one of Ukraine’s largest health and beauty retail chains, with stores across the country. The destroyed sorting center supplied stores in the Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson called on Europe to significantly step up its support for Ukraine following a Russian strike on a railway near the Polish border. He said Ukraine needs more assistance, including additional air defense systems and access to frozen Russian assets.
Johnson also said that after spending three days in Ukraine, he was convinced the country would win. According to him, the war could end much sooner if the West “gets serious” and provides Ukraine with the support it needs.
As Johnson was leaving Ukraine, his diplomatic train passed through Yahodyn shortly before a Russian drone struck the locomotive of another train near the Polish border. Ukrainian Railways said the diplomatic train may have been the intended target. No one was injured.

Volodymyr Zelensky hopes to meet US President Donald Trump as early as next week, with Kyiv seeking to move the peace process forward through step-by-step agreements.
“We are open to a corresponding maritime ceasefire, as well as an energy ceasefire. I am going to discuss all of this,” Zelensky said.
Kyiv also wants to continue humanitarian efforts, including prisoner exchanges and the return of civilians, journalists, and Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, ultimately leading to a trilateral Ukraine-US-Russia meeting.
Zelensky warned that if Russia continues attacking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and causing blackouts this winter, Ukraine will respond with strikes of its own.

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) detained a teenage girl in Dnipro accused of helping Russia prepare a new wave of missile and drone strikes on government buildings in the city center.
According to the SBU, the teenager walked through the city secretly filming potential targets and sending the footage to a Russian handler. She also allegedly reported the locations and aftermath of previous Russian strikes to help adjust follow-up attacks.
Investigators say she was recruited through Telegram channels offering “quick money” and deleted her communications with the Russian operative after each exchange.
The teenager is being held without bail and faces up to 12 years in prison. Investigators are also considering additional charges of high treason.

Ukraine will receive $841 million from the World Bank under Canadian guarantees, Prime Minister Koretskyi said.
The funds will be provided through the PEACE in Ukraine project and used to reimburse state budget spending on pension payments.
