The Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya was struck, with Ukraine’s General Staff later confirming damage to the AVT-6 crude oil distillation unit and two other processing units.
Fires were also reported at CHPP-22 near Lyubertsy and a logistics complex in Sofyino. A high-rise building was also struck during the attack, while Russian authorities said "hundreds of drones were intercepted". However, the footage on the ground pictures another story.

SOUTHCOM said intelligence had confirmed the vessel was actively involved in drug trafficking. The strike killed four people it described as "narco-terrorists".

🇰🇵 #NorthKorea: North Korea launched two projectiles toward the Sea of Japan today, with South Korean authorities identifying the first as a short-range ballistic missile and the second as an unidentified projectile.
The first missile flew around 450 km from the Wonsan area before falling into waters outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone. The second launch came several hours later, with Japanese authorities also reporting that it fell outside Japan's EEZ.

🇷🇺 #Russia: Russian authorities reported cyberattacks targeting the online voting system in Moscow and sabotage attempts against communication lines in the Far East during Russia's September 18th – 20th parliamentary elections.
The vote is for the 450-seat State Duma, Russia's lower house of parliament, and is the first parliamentary election since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Russia said the attacks were being repelled and communications restored, while President Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of attempting to interfere with the vote without providing evidence.

🇺🇸 #US - 🇨🇳 #China: The US military came close to boarding a Chinese vessel in the Middle East this spring after an AI-assisted intelligence report falsely claimed the ship was carrying components for a nuclear weapons programme.
Armed US personnel were preparing to board the vessel and military aircraft were already airborne when officials discovered that a chatbot used by a Special Operations Command analyst had incorrectly identified the cargo. The report was later described by a source as "entirely false" with the incident reportedly coming close to triggering a direct confrontation with China.

The reactor was operating at the time, but its operating mode remained unchanged and no fire was reported as a result of the drone strike. No further details have been shared regarding this incident.

🇦🇿 #Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan’s State Security Service (DTX) announced earlier today that it had arrested 10 alleged members of an international jihadi network linked to the former "Sumgayit Jamaat" group, which had previously been convicted in Azerbaijan.
The arrests were made in coordinated operations across five countries, with one suspect extradited to Azerbaijan.
According to the DTX, the network was preparing assassinations of public and religious figures and financing individuals involved in armed conflicts abroad, including internationally recognized terrorist organizations, through cryptocurrency. The suspects face charges including financing terrorism, forming a criminal organization and preparing attacks against public figures. During the full documentary-like video released by Azerbaijani authorities, the suspects are also portrayed as using "Rocket Chat" for communicating, a well known platform used by jihadi militants.

🇽🇰 #Kosovo - 🇦🇱 #Albania - 🇳🇱 #Netherlands: Protests erupted for the past two days in Pristina, Tirana and The Hague following the conviction of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and three other former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.
In Pristina, protesters chanted in support of the KLA and against Prime Minister Albin Kurti, while some threw stones at the government building, breaking windows and clashing with police.
Demonstrators in The Hague also confronted police near the court, while supporters in Albania marched in support of the former KLA leaders. The protests followed Thaci’s 25-year sentence for war crimes including murder, torture and unlawful detention.

🇮🇩 #Indonesia: TPNPB-OPM (National Liberation Army of West Papua – Free Papua Movement) militants in Papua have reportedly captured and killed a truck driver on the Trans-Wamena–Nduga route after forcing him at gunpoint to declare Papua's independence.
The TPNPB-OPM central command alleged that the victim was an Indonesian military intelligence agent operating under the cover of a civilian truck driver. The killing took place after he finished the forced statement. His body was burned along with the vehicle he was driving at the side of the road.
