Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar strengthened, European equities dipped, and oil prices surged on Middle East tensions. Unemployment benefit claims in the U.S. also decreased slightly, beating forecasts. Dow Jones gained 0.13% and Nasdaq ended with gains of 0.24%.
