| 2 | Someone asked me, a few days ago, why I choose to live in South Africa in spite of all the crime, corruption, broken infrastructure, and the rest of the bad stuff.
The answer is fairly simple.
Home is where the heart is, and my heart is here.
Everything is downstream from culture.
My culture is not elsewhere. Half of my ethnicity is Afrikanerdom, which is African. The other half descends from Europe (the UK, more specifically), but that was centuries ago. I have very little cultural connection to that part of the world.
I am African of Western heritage, but African nonetheless.
I have no family in Europe (or the UK), and the EU is very strict with my visa — the strictest of all my visas.
Am I patriotic to South Africa?
The answer is nuanced.
I won't take up arms for the country, since it's governed illegitimately, in my view, and I have no respect for the government, but I will take up arms for my family and community.

It initially meant protection against smallpox.
Then it meant using a pathogen to create immunity.
Then it meant a cocktail that creates immunity to a certain disease (like polio or flu or Covid and so on).
The latter is the one that we all know.
Then, during the Covid scam, in 2021, when they saw that vaccines weren't working, coupled with the introduction of the failed mRNA experiment, they changed the definition to mean making the illness less severe.
Vaccines have never worked under any definition.
But now the definition is so flimsy that it's brilliant, because it means reducing severity comes from improved lifestyle choices.
If you want to reduce severity, eat better, get fit, sleep better, lower stress, spend time outside, and so on.
