🌟 WELCOME INCOMING AIR FORCE COMMAND CHIEF 🫡 ME6 Saravanan will take over from ME6 Ng See Lye as the Air Force Command Chief on 27 November 2026. ME6 Saravanan is appointed as Air Force Command Chief (Designate) in the interim. ☁️ The changes are part of the continuing process of leadership renewal in the Republic of Singapore Air Force. @rsaftribe

📡 The Radar Roundup – 18 Sep 26 🌟 UC – 128 SQN Milestone Ceremony ORD LO!!! 🎊128 SQN's first batch of NSFs since the squadron's transformation into a joint Army-RSAF squadron have begun their new chapter as Operationally Ready NSmen. The ceremony recognised their dedication, commitment, and invaluable contributions to the squadron – here's wishing them blue skies and fair winds ahead! 🐏 APGC – 201 SQN x 206 SQN FOT 206 SQN welcomed Roadrunners from 201 SQN for a visit that took them through the squadron premises before an ops sharing session, swapping insights on capabilities, experiences, and the work 206 SQN does. With both squadrons gearing up for XWB26, it was the perfect chance to boost camaraderie and connections ahead of the big exercise. 🎊 APGC – SBAB Milestone Ceremony Congratulations to our servicemen from SBAB who have completed their Full-Time National Service with dedication and professionalism, and we wish them the best for their future as they transition to become Operationally Ready National Servicemen! 📚 AFTC – AFTC & Royal Brunei Air Force Exchange AFTC hosted Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAF) cadets for an exchange programme, giving them an overview of AFTC and demonstrations of the various XR and high-fidelity simulators used by our TIs. The exchange strengthened ties with the RBAF and reaffirmed AFTC's standing as a professional military institute. @rsaftribe

🌏 Navigating an Uncertain Global Security Environment Defence Minister Chan Chun Sing spoke at the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum on 16 Sep 26 on navigating an increasingly uncertain global security environment where he highlighted three fundamental principles: 1.⁠ ⁠Domestic Stability and External Security are Mutually Reinforcing. Confidence at home enables a country to cooperate with partners and act in its enlightened long-term interest internationally. In turn, a favourable external environment affects domestic stability. 2.⁠ ⁠Interdependence Breeds Stability. While it is tempting to view interdependence as a source of vulnerability in present climate, history tells us that in the long term, interdependence expands the pool of common interests between disparate countries. It creates the incentive to cooperate, or at least to compete within an agreed set of rules. Competition and rivalry, if well-managed, can spur all of us to do better. 3.⁠ ⁠⁠Medical Ethics of “First, Do No Harm”. To build trust, we must first not break it. Trust is built by being consistent, but can be lost in a single instant. When we have trust, we can resolve difficult issues quietly behind the scenes. Without trust, small misunderstandings can simmer and become major problems. Trust matters even more in “invisible” domains like cyberspace, where intentions are unclear and attribution is not simple. Singapore has adopted these principles and it is why amongst others, we continue to advocate for the preservation of the international rules-based order and sought to build an open and inclusive external environment such as working with our neighbours to build up ASEAN and to play a constructive role in the development of international maritime law. As part of AWO School’s Family Engagement Programme, families of our AWO cadets were given a glimpse into the cadets’ training and introduced to the weapon systems they operate. Thank you to the families for your continued support as our cadets train to defend our nation. 🚶🏾‍♀️⛰️ AFTC – AE School Hike Wondering how AETI clinched the winning title for VMC58? This will show you! Waking up bright and early at 0630H, the AE School boosted AETI's mileage with a scenic walk along the Dairy Farm Loop Trail. Along the way, the school also checked in at iconic spots such as the Singapore Quarry, Dairy Farm Quarry, and the Bukit Timah Summit. 🏁 UC – 1 AELG Sports Challenge In the previous episode of 1 AELG's 2026 Sports Challenge, the floor turned to lava. This episode, the four teams dodged, dashed, and strategised their way towards the ultimate goal: capturing the flag! With three rounds down and three to go… who will emerge as the champion?! Stay tuned to find out! 🖥️ UC – AI Masterclass In collaboration with RAiD, the UC Innovation Office conducted an AI Masterclass for our people at UC. The lessons were scoped around identifying practical use cases, with our UC participants applying what they learnt through interactive sessions with the facilitators from RAiD. 🏃 APGC – TAB55 Unity Run The finale of the TAB55 celebrations saw our Tengah Knights, as well as personnel from 128 SQN, 143 SQN, and HQ APGC, complete an 11.5km/7.5km/4km run and 5km walk. The forum delved deeper into how we can remain agile, innovative, and ready to meet the RSAF’s engineering and logistics demands of tomorrow.  🚶🏻‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️ APGC – SBAB Walk-A-Jog @ Sembawang Hot Spring Park SBAB hosted a reinvigorating Walk-A-Jog to Sembawang Hot Spring Park for our Sixers. Designed to promote physical wellness and offer a welcome break from daily work routines, the outing allowed participants to refresh themselves, soak in the picturesque scenery, and build camaraderie across the base! 👀 ADOC – Ex RIMPAC 2026 Participating in the exercise after a six-year hiatus, two of our USAF-trained Joint Interface Control Officers (JICO) AOSX, ME3 Bernard Ng and ME3 Nick Png, took on the role of the JICO Watch Officer in the exercise’s Combined Air Ops Centre. This high-level role, typically only assigned to experienced Link 16 nations, requires the personnel to possess strong Ops and datalink competency to manage and lead a team of multinational datalink operators. Well done Bernard and Nick, thank you for flying our flag high in Hawaii!  🏠 PC – 201 SQN Family Day @ SAFM At the newly renovated Air Force Museum, our Roadrunners welcomed their loved ones for a meaningful morning of bonding and appreciation. Through a series of sharings by our Roadrunners, our Roadrunners’ families got a glimpse into 201 SQN and what XWB is about. Thank you to our Roadrunners’ family for always standing behind our Roadrunners - your support and encouragement are an important part of 201 SQN’s success! 📚 PC – 6 DA Bn NE Tour @ Bukit Chandu Museum Last week, 6 DA Bn visited the Reflections at Bukit Chandu museum for a meaningful learning journey, gaining a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s wartime history and the sacrifices made to defend our nation. Through the exhibits and stories shared, our personnel reflected on the courage, resilience, and sense of duty displayed by those who came before us. The visit was a meaningful reminder of the importance of remembering our history and appreciating the peace and security we have today. @rsaftribe

🎖️ MINDEF/SAF to introduce a series of commemorative events and initiatives in 2027 as part of NS60 As Singapore marks 60 years of National Service in 2027, MINDEF and the SAF will introduce a series of NS60 commemorative events and initiatives to recognise our NSFs, NSmen, NS alumni and their families, and to reaffirm our commitment to support our national servicemen throughout their NS journey. 💪 Defence Minister Chan Chun Sing shared that he has asked the MINDEF team to review how NS recognition can be made more impactful and meaningful for NSmen as they navigate life's challenges while serving the nation. A few things to know: 🛡️ NS remains the bedrock of our nation's defence. A special NDP will be held at the Padang in 2027 to mark this milestone, alongside a series of NS60 commemorative events, including an NS Exhibition, Army Open House, and potentially the opening of NS Square. 📈 As part of the regular review, NSF allowances have risen 65% since 2015. Today, an Infantry NSF Corporal who has completed vocation training earns $1,090 a month in his second year. 🎉 MINDEF and the SAF will also explore enhancements to recognition initiatives, such as the NS HOME Awards, and is looking at a suitable NS60 Recognition package for NSmen past and present.
