2. What the PHOTC Temporary Staffs Hiring Guidelines saying about that?
3. You all remember so well what Wainaina did with December 2025 PHOTC Exams Invigilators.
4. PHOTC must their regulations and guidelines too. - Hakuna super PHOs
5. If PHOTC don't see the need to follow their operations guidelines, do they expect yPHOs to still continue renewing their licences?
6. When was the last time PHOTC held a webinar to inform yPHOs or PHOs on anything?
7. PS Mary Muthoni should know we deserve better.
8. It is very important we ensure PHOTC Examinations Invigilators meet these PHOTC Set Requirements:
*BSc / HND
*Registered by PHOTC, with 3 years since issuance
*5 years experience
9. Adhering to PHOTC Regulations, Standards and Guidelines starts with PHOTC.
10. It is also good to note the incoming PHOTC Chairperson renewed his PHOTC licence too. - 8+/- days after his appointment | 77 |

2. They won't tell you about growth or change for obvious reasons. - We can't be stagnant in one age without growing or ageing

| 5 | As a Public Health Officer, I can confidently declare that nothing has been taken away from PHOs / PHTs. Today as before, when I attend chief's baraza, I am accorded the respect associated with the office, I talk with authority and every word is taken with the seriousness it deserves.
Public Health office is respected than any other department in the health sector. You only need to conduct yourself with dignity. If you don't, you should not expect people to accord you what you lack.
Public Health Officer operations are guided by laws. Public Health Officer / Technician has a lot at his disposal to increase visibility. The issue of roles of public health being taken is purely cosmetic anchored in monetary aspects, you do away funding aspects, you won't hear the cries.
If today a partner was to support water / food sampling for analysis, then he visits a public health office for budget proposals. How much do you think a food sample will cost from e.g. Migori to Nairobi Government Chemist for analysis?
Do you think the partner will be motivated or discouraged based on your budget proposals?
If you take away money from public health, public health will be strong. The focus on money changes the vision and mission of public health.

| 8 | POSITION: Research Assistant (12 Positions)
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Duty Stations: Nairobi (3), Kisumu (3), Homa Bay (3), Migori (3)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Project Overview:
1. The WHO Implementation Research (WHO IR) Project: Implementation Research on Introducing and Scaling Up Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV Infection within Family Planning Services in Kenya is a one-year mixed-methods implementation research study being conducted in selected health facilities across Nairobi, Kisumu, Homa Bay, and Migori Counties.
2. The project seeks to strengthen the integration of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) into Family Planning (FP) services in Kenya. Although national policies support the integration of HIV prevention and reproductive health services, there is limited evidence on effective, acceptable, and sustainable approaches for implementing PrEP within FP clinics.
3. Using quantitative and qualitative research methods, the study will assess policy and health system readiness, implementation processes, and client experiences to identify barriers and facilitators to successful integration. The project will engage stakeholders at national, county, facility, and community levels to generate practical, evidence-based strategies that improve PrEP uptake and adherence. The ultimate goal is to develop a scalable, client-centered model for integrating HIV prevention into family planning services, thereby reducing HIV risk among women in Kenya.
Job Purpose:
1. The Research Assistant will support the implementation of the WHO Implementation Research (WHO IR) Project: Implementation Research on Introducing and Scaling Up Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV Infection within Family Planning Services in Kenya in selected health facilities across Nairobi, Kisumu, Homa Bay, and Migori Counties.
2. The successful candidate will support participant recruitment, enrollment, informed consent, follow-up, and retention while ensuring adherence to study protocols and ethical standards. The Research Assistant will collect high-quality qualitative and quantitative data, facilitate community engagement activities, and contribute to the successful implementation of implementation research activities.
3. Working closely with the Project Coordinator, research team, healthcare providers, Community Advisory Boards (CABs), peer educators, and county stakeholders, the Research Assistant will conduct interviews, focus group discussions, surveys, and participant follow-up visits to assess the integration of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) into Family Planning (FP) services and factors influencing PrEP uptake, adherence, and continuation.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Community Health, Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field from a recognized institution.
2. Minimum of three (3) years' research experience, preferably in implementation research, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, or public health programmes.

4. Demonstrated experience using REDCap or other electronic data capture systems.
5. Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection.
6. Experience transcribing and translating qualitative interviews and focus group discussions.
7. Experience using qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo, ATLAS.ti, or Dedoose is required.
8. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
9. Fluency in English and Kiswahili (spoken and written) is required.
