🏳️😞🏴 — Two Islamic State Sahel Province militants were killed and their weapons captured following the JNIM ambush on July 26 in the Dosso region of southwestern Niger. JNIM makes it clear that it intends to stop any ISSP attempt to position itself in northern Benin, where there is dense forests, by blocking their way from Burkina Faso and now attacking them close to the Benin borders after ISSP made it all the away around from Niger and Nigeria. While the last official claimed attack by ISSP in Benin was back in 2022. The rivalry between the two groups is now across the Sahel region/West Africa in Mali, Niger, Burkina, Benin, and Nigeria. @Conflict_Monitor

🏴✍️ — Might be the topic of the upcoming Al-Naba Editorial on Thursday. With the West Bank Incident on 24 July being another possibility as well.

🏴😞🇵🇰 — The Islamic State Pakistan Province (ISPP) claimed responsibility for the killing of Judge (Abdul Hakim Kakar) and his bodyguard, and the serious wounding of another judge, (Tariq Lashari), in an attack on their vehicle on the Mastung Highway in Balochistan. The attack occurred near the Wali Khan railway crossing on the highway as they were traveling from Quetta to the Mastung court. The bodies of the dead and the wounded were taken to a nearby hospital for forensic examination and treatment. @Conflict_Monitor

🏴❌🏳️ — The clash ended with a stalemate with no clear evidence of any losses from both sides. The reason of the clash is still unknown with a possibility that ISSP was the one to start the attack against JNIM. Any rumors of the clash being a result of ISSP attempt to steal cattle from the local population is regarded as nothing but rumors without proof, lacking trustable sources and only coming from sketchy accounts. @Conflict_Monitor

🏴😞🇵🇭 — Suspected Islamic State East Asia Province militants on a motorcycle targeted on July 18 a military truck with a grenade, injuring two soldiers in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanoa del Sur. The two military trucks were headed towards Barangay Limbo, Sultan Kudarat, where two previous attacks occurred: First attack and Second attack. @Conflict_Monitor

🏴❌🇳🇪 — The Nigerien Army announced that 16 soldiers were killed and 23 were wounded, 9 of them seriously injured, following an ambush by suspected ISSP militants on July 17 in the Tera-Bankilari road, Tillabéri region. They also claimed to have killed 15 militants in the attack, capturing 5 motorcycles, and destroying 4 others. Forcing the fighters to retreat due to their aerial assets. Giving the nature of the juntas always lying about their casualties, its safe to assume that the deaths/injuries of their soldiers are much higher than what have been published. Same thing can be said about the casualties and material losses of the attackers being lower, if they even exist. @Conflict_Monitor

🏳️❌🇲🇱🇷🇺 — The downing of the Mi-24 helicopter came following an attack on a Malian barracks in the Mopti region. The destroyed helicopter was one of three helicopters that attempted to evacuate the wounded from the attacked barracks by JNIM in Kouakourou, Mopti. As a result, the helicopter was shot down and the other two came under fire forcing them to retreat, which made the Malian and Russian forces send their troops just to be targeted with IEDs. That being a FAMA/AC military vehicles, motorcycles, and a convoy of vehicles, all between Douentza and Boni in the Mopti region. This marks the second Mi-24 helicopter to be shot down in July. The other one was downed in July 5. @Conflict_Monitor
