For instance, if one wants to extract Intros related to some topic or Data points or dimensions from particular topper copies in mains playground - all such use cases will be supported by Pluto.
Also, if one wants an answer for a particular question using only content from topper copies, Pluto will also be able to do that.
Similarly, queries like top 10 keywords and CA items for the week can also be answered using the data on CA Playground. It will be just another AI agent - but trained exclusively on our platform data.

Mains 26 candidates must be feeling the heat. As the D-Day approaches near, the weight of the syllabus and piling up backlogs will keep mounting.
But, as with good problem solving - the essence is in breaking down the parts. Have daily plans - daily goals. Moderation is the key now. Also, by this time, the neural connections are up there. In some moments, due to exhaustion , you might not be able to recall entire stuff. But, if you have revised enough, recall won't be a problem in the exam hall.
The bigger challenge is dealing with negativity and insecurities. During my first mains, i felt the same. Having prepared for 7-8 months in entireity and seeing my friends struggle even after 4-5 years, i too felt MAINS is perhaps the K2 of written exams - formidable, unforgiving and perpetually intimidating. I researched extensively as to how to crack it with limited knowledge. What i discoverd was goldmine.
During my research, i came across how doctors , i.e surgeons and pilots take decisions in stress. Surgeons in particular are very interesting. If an architect makes a mistake, a building might get delayed; if a surgeon makes a mistake, a patient might die. On that operating table, "Indecision is more dangerous than imperfection". The unshakable confidence acts as a cognitive shield. Without a profound belief in their own competence, a surgeon would be paralyzed by the emotional weight of potential complications, lawsuits, and the inevitable outcomes of losing patients. It is essential to have complete and total confidence while undertaking such long arduous journeys. This mindset deeply aligns with the philosophy of Aham Brahmasmi.
Further, i feel one can be realist in planning, optimising in execution and agnostic while waiting for the results of the said execution. If you are optimist in planning, you will miss the fine details and the endeavor will be doomed from the outset. If you are realist in execution, you will always be stuck up in doubts and trivial anxieties. The best approach is to be a realist in planning, see the possibilities, accept the risk and execute flawlessly with optimism. Yes, you won't have perfect knowledge at the start and you will have to improvise, but account for them in risk. Once the plan is signed off and execution begins, limited knowledge should not hamper your execution - at all.
One should thus have complete and total confidence in themselves and top it with optimism. It’s a great skill to fool your rational brain into being invincible for some time despite being aware of your own limitations in general. Having this controlled hubris mindset of surgeon can help make your mains days easy. Because when its game time, its GAME TIME. Nothing else matters.

 +4Access control on the site has been revamped. Going forward, there is no hourly restriction on any feature. Free trial will include a limited subset of the features.
For instance, no 2 hour or 4 hour preview limits on CA playground and Map playground - all features will be available for users to explore.
This is as per user feedback and we feel it allows users to explore the site and its features in a better manner.

 +1Finally, our new ML model is getting newspaper crops right—check out the before-and-after in Images 1 & 2.
Image 1 (Our old approach): We used to rely on greedy heuristics—searching for the white gutters between columns to split articles, and then running a sweep algorithm to stitch broken crops back together. It was a constant struggle because layouts change drastically, not just between different newspapers, but even from page to page.
Image 2 (New ML model trained on our data): We realized hardcoded rules wouldn't cut it, and Visual LLMs aren't the right fit for this specific task either. Custom ML clustering was the only real solution, and as you can see, it's finally producing clean, accurate segmentation after training.
What this means for CA Playground:
Now that our data pipeline is solid, we're launching the Daily News Bulletin.
Instead of just giving isolated clippings, the system will track how the exact same story is covered across multiple newspapers and pull it together into one clear analysis. When you open the news pane, you’ll get all the key takeaways in one spot—important keywords, hard data points, quotes, and relevant anecdotes from every paper tracking that story.
To keep the quality right where it needs to be for UPSC prep, The Hindu and The Indian Express will continue to drive the core analysis. Other newspapers will simply supplement them with extra facts or alternative angles.

Mains is almost a decathlon. The exhaustion of each paper will build in hour by hour , day by day. By the time you have reached optional, you will be dead tired - so tired that for the next one month, you won't be able to study anything.
It is only necessary that you prepare accordingly. Many of you might have done sprints till now by writing single tests in a day. But that won't be helpful especially for those who are writing mains first time. We strongly recommend that you write 2 papers a day for atleast 2 days. Its best if you go for a simulation.
Coming to simulation, many people try things like Redbull for optimising performance under pressure. Many try novel methods like yoganidra/NSDR for relaxing between the papers. Whatever you try, the exam hall shouldn't be the first time you are experimenting with these. If you can, do a LFT/KFT/Vitamin level tests. Taking Redbull/Caffiene can be counter productive if you are low in B/D vitamins. Similarly, you can also try some breathing techniques to zone in. In Michael Jordan's Last Dance, the Bulls used to have a specific routine for switching from normal time to GAME time. You can also develop this. You can try hypoxic and cadence breathing exercises for enhancing focus before the exam starts.
Furthermore, take good care of the most critical part of your performance stack - Sleep. Guard your sleep time ferociously. For the next 30-40 days - have a good sleep routine. I personally preferred sleeping on hard floor in mains prep as i knew i would have to travel and would be staying in some accomodation for mains. And i am very sensitive to the mattress/room quality. So i ditched out the variable and started sleeping on floor altogether. If bed/mattress is not an issue for you, you have to just work on your sleep timings. Also always plan ahead in case how you will handle emergencies. Carry medicines and have a doctor friend on call if push comes to shove. Be it some illness or lack of sleep, you have to train yourself to perform well.
When the turbulence of the exam hits, weak routines, scattered notes, and fluff will be blown away. All that will remain is your training and your discipline. As Gates of Fire says, "the real test comes when all strength is fled and the men must produce victory on will alone." The ultimate trial of Mains begins at that exact threshold.

 +2Till today, we relied on combination of machine learning and final manual approval to add and approve articles on CA Playground.
The article cropping and highlight was automated along with some other steps that processed the newspaper and yielded the final article. They also produced a cropped snippet of the article to go with the article.
But the cropping wasn't always perfect and we had built in manual crop to fix the problematic articles for some specific types. Indian Express for instance, uses very tightly placed columns. The Hindu on the other hand uses psuedo lines that trick the ml algorithms.
Today, we managed to improve the machine learning pipelines. We have updated the pipelines on the basis of data we accumulated. This will increase our efficiency manifold and reduce the number of articles accidently dropped owing to poor crop ratio.
Also, we noticed some smooth players who had been using the playground on free trial owing to a corner case. Really hats off for figuring out the bug at your end and exploiting it. They would have gone unnoticed hadn't they used the platform so much 😃️️️️.

One of my very close friend, Pourav Bishnoi, with whom I’ve shared my preparation days, has started this new initiative to make answer writing in PSIR a much easier thing to do, explaining the right way how to use the things we study directly in the answers.
I’ve myself seen some videos and found it really interesting way to approach answer writing in this optional.

But still other facet remains. Most of the corruption in government machinery is at lower level. Yes, there are senior officials who are corrupt, but its mostly the lower level staff which forms the "dead hand of the government". The paper leaks are almost always done by the lower level staff.
Also, small bribes which are often overlooked happen at lower levels. Many a times, the lower level officials collect bribes in the names of senior officials - and the officers are not even aware about it.
Some provisions should be made to debar such corrupt officials/clerks and their family too from government jobs. If the children get govt jobs when their govt. servants parents pass untimely, why can't they make such a counter provision to punish the corrupt core ?
