It might be a good idea to avoid channels that engage in :
• See XYZ direct hits in UPSC's so and so stage - Hindsight 20/20 - Foresight 0/0
• Fake testimonials , sshots - just to lure some simple minded aspirants
• Channels that create cults around teachers and encourage cult worship of teachers
• Insidergiri - If xyz is true, treat it as a CoInCiDeNce ( toxic BS)
• Tricksters and pdf sellers - do this 2-3 days before, then you will get sure shot benefit of xyz marks ( Guaranteed)
Instead of letting aspirants build and hone their skills to the demands of the examination - they waste so much time of aspirants by misguiding them.
Putting unnecessary stress on aspirants by preying on their emotions is not just wrong, but plain unethical.

Look at the sheer lack of accountability in this system. The CSE 2025 Prelims question on microgravity was sureshot wrong, and as people filed RTIs about it, ISRO's response was to delete the relevant links from their website. They tried to wipe it clean, but the ghost articles still show up in their site's search results.
Looks like this is what the "reformative chairperson" is actually doing behind the scenes.
Just search this on google - "POEM-4 in PSLV-C60 / SpaDeX Mission - ISRO
www.isro.gov.in › POEM_4_Payloads_spadex
22 Dec 2024 ... It provides an opportunity for the scientific community to carry out certain in-orbit microgravity experiments for an extended duration of up to ..."
It will show the link - but ISRO won't let you read the original article now.
Slow claps...
We really are treated as cockroaches.

Take a moment to look at how UPSC can frame questions from current affairs.
This year the Royal Naval Mutiny marks its 80th anniversary and has been covered in the news. Also see that UPSC has asked a question on it before in 2014.
Learning from prelims this year, it is important to cover all current affairs which not only have some static backing but also have been asked in the previous year's questions.
So no doing preparation in silos. Current affairs having static background and PYQ linkage is the name of the game going forward.

Friends,
We are thinking of conducting a brainstorming session on essay today at 9 pm. Poll in if you wish to attend today.
We are still in the process of making a schedule for the same but since some of you requested we thought it would be best to take a headcount first. | 790 | 1 | 3 | 2 | Loading... | |

Taking our platform live involved navigating a series of significant technical hurdles. To put things into perspective, here is a look at the challenges we faced and how we solved them:
Engineering for Scale (Addressing the Reddit Critics): We noticed some comments on Reddit suggesting that building the CA playground is a simple matter of connecting an LLM to a database. While we respect the community, this is far from a college project. We engineered a highly scalable, end-to-end encrypted platform. It features aggressive anti-scraping detection, a robust auto-ban system for bad actors, and a comprehensive observability stack that precisely tracks website performance in real-time.
The Complexity of the CA Playground: Building the playground required creative problem-solving. To identify article boundaries, we had to build a custom pipeline combining Computer Vision(OCR), Machine learning, NLP, and advanced redaction. Standard approaches—like Breadth-First Search (BFS), basic redaction, and boundary extensions—completely failed on certain article types. Safe to say, LLMs are not a panacea.
Optimizing Playground Performance: Speed is critical for a good user experience. To make the playground lightning-fast, we had to rethink our architecture, ultimately shifting away from standard REST APIs to more efficient network protocols to handle the playground's data loads.
Thank you

Evaluators on fire !!
Glad to see people are actively writing answers. Also, kudos to our evaluators for such polished evaluation.
1. Mains Evaluation program available : https://upscanalytics.opuslabs.in/mains-evaluation
What matters in Mains is what you write on paper. You can read all the value additions, attend all live answer writing sessions, have all the mentorships you want — but if you cannot replicate your content on paper, it's useless.
Through this initiative, we orient your Mains preparation in right direction, help you see your blind spots, and provide critical inputs to maximise your chance for a great Mains score.
Our detailed mains Philosophy : https://t.me/upscseeproanalytics/191
• Only evaluator meeting the threshold in that subject will evaluate your answers on given subject.
• Live evaluation available on submission. If you are submitting answers for your weaker topic, you can avail live 1:1 evaluation OR as the case may be.
• Direct integration with google calendar API is there - so you see real time availability. No rescheduling hassle.
• Unlike FLTs - you can submit answers at your own pace - as per your own syllabus completion strategy.
• You can grade evaluators - and to maintain quality - evaluators with consistent poor reviews will be deplatformed.
• 3 day turn around time
• No marketing gimick - Simplicity is the ulitmate sophistication for mains.
• No AI slop in answer evaluation - till the time UPSC doesn't adopt AI grading, we feel AI-based evaluation is nothing more than a marketing gimmick.
Limited intake only.
2. CA Playground bundling with mains evaluation available now as requested.

CA Playground is live.
The first tool that treats current affairs the way UPSC actually tests it.
Not a PDF compilation. Not a monthly magazine. Not another summary you'll forget in a week.
A structured, syllabus-mapped knowledge system built from the ground up for Mains and Essay — the kind of tool that didn't exist before because nobody built the pipeline to make it possible.
• 5,500+ explainers. 230+ themes. GS 1–4 syllabus linked. PYQs mapped.
• Every article broken into What / Why / Implications / Challenges / Solutions / Way Forward — the same structure you'll write your answer in. Essay angles, ethics dilemmas, data highlights, prelims facts — tagged and searchable. Articles weighted by their coverage in news.
Three views:
• List — Paper → Section → Syllabus Topic → Theme → Articles
• Graph — Interactive knowledge graph. Themes as nodes, sized by news weight. Connections no compilation will show you.
• PYQ — Start from the question. See which current affairs stories answer which Mains questions.
• Bookmarks. Full-text search. Dark mode. Original newspaper clippings with highlighted lines. Mobile-ready.
This isn't an incremental improvement. It is CA redefined.
2-hour free preview — full access, no restrictions.
Plans from ₹999.

As per suggestion received in the call - we have integrated the pyqs and mapped current news items to PYQs.
In the images above :
1. CA of ground water crisis is mapped to the PYQ on the same theme.
2. Climate change and its impact on small island nations mapped to its pyq - also to note, relevant data facts, UN resolutions are also extracted for quick insights.
3. Lack of RnD investment tagged to the most apt PYQs.
4. Urban heat island mapped to pyq.
Frankly we are also blown away by the insights we can draw and how many relevant examples, data points and committees we can quote in related pyq themes. We feel this can give your answers a fresh touch and make them stand out.
Thanks everyone for your feedback and suggestions.
