Good Dreams

Allah جل جلاله said:

{لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ} 'For them are glad tidings in the life of this world and in the Hereafter' [Yūnus 10:64]

Al-ʿAllāmah As-Saʿdī rahimahullah explains:

"As for the glad tidings in this world, they include: - a good reputation, - love in the hearts of the believers, - righteous dreams, - and the kindness that a servant sees from Allah toward him—such as Allah making the best deeds and noble character easy for him, and turning him away from bad character."

Shaykh Ibn Bāz rahimahullah notes:

"The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Prophethood has ended, but the glad tidings remain.' He was asked, 'What are the glad tidings?' He replied, 'The righteous dream that a Muslim sees or that is seen for him.' It is glad tidings of good. However, a person should not rely on such dreams. Rather, they should continue striving in righteous deeds and remain steadfast. A good dream brings happiness, but it should not make a person lessen their efforts or become dependent on it. Instead, they should continue to be diligent in doing righteous deeds." Sadaqah Jariyah Opportunity in Jigjiga -> The first Salafi masjid in central Jigjiga. The Masjid is being built on a 50 m × 16 m plot of land that was generously donated by one of the aunts. May Allah reward her abundantly. The estimated cost to complete the entire ground-plus-one-floor project is approximately $43,000. By the grace of Allah, a generous brother has already donated $23,000 towards the project. May Allah accept it from him and bless his wealth. More recently, an elderly brother volunteered to fund the drilling of a well for the Masjid, and the work is currently underway.
