The first picture of a mother accused of murdering her newborn baby after a court heard the baby girl suffered '15 stabbings' at her Sheffield home. Andrea Skopova, 20, appeared in court on Wednesday charged with the murder of her newborn named only as Baby S. The baby girl was found dead with 33 wounds from 15 separate stabbings at a property in Holywell Heights, Sheffield, the court heard. Prosecutors told a district judge at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court that the baby’s body was found on top of a washing machine in an outhouse at an address in the Wincobank area of Sheffield on Sunday. There others, Peter Horvath Jnr, 19, Peter Horvath Snr, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37, aslo appeared in court in relation to the baby's death. Horvath Jnr, Horvath Snr and Horvathova, all of Holywell Heights, and Skopova, of Robey Street, Grimesthorpe, Sheffield, are also charged with causing or allowing the death of a child, and perverting the course of justice by cleaning the scene of the alleged crime. 'That man’s filming us,’ a girl whispers to her friend as they order food at a London McDonald’s. Behind them, a man appears to keep recording for another minute with a camera trained on their legs and lower bodies. The teenagers are among hundreds of women and girls Metro has identified in videos apparently filmed across London and uploaded to a website charging viewers $50 for access. Their faces are used in thumbnails to ‘entice’ viewers to subscribe. Under titles like ‘Sunny Day Shopper’ and ‘Spanish brunette’, the website claims there are around 400 videos of women and girls, many of whom appear underage. In most cases, they are walking around the city in shorts or leggings. The women and girls appear to have been filmed in busy locations including Stratford Westfield, Oxford Street and Tube stations. One victim, Eranta Ntatsi, 29, was filmed as she went about her business in Wood Green’s High Road. She likens her experience as ‘being raped in the moment’. The mum-of-two told Metro she had no clue about the video until a man, who follows her husband’s social media accounts, recognised her. He sent him the footage and now Eranta feels ‘completely violated and abused’. She said: ‘It was three years ago when I walked out of Halifax after collecting some of my maternity payment. I never even noticed I was being filmed, and suddenly a few weeks ago a man contacts my husband out of the blue letting him know I was on this website. ‘Watching the video for the first time, I just felt disgust. I hate that I am just pushing my baby in a pram and someone is having sexual thoughts. 'But I won’t stop wearing leggings. I am a personal trainer and even have my own athletic clothing business.’ Metro shared details of the website with the Victim’s Commissioner for London, Andrea Simon. As the mother of a 14-year-old daughter, she said she was ‘enraged’. ‘The scale of this is huge. You’ve got hundreds of women and girls affected, and the ability to upload these videos to a website and to share them with others is compounding the harm. ‘The Online Safety Act makes it a duty for sites to take down nonconsensual image-based abuse within 48 hours, but there has to be enforcement behind it.’ Ofcom said the law was clear that both upskirting and sharing such content online were illegal. They said: ‘The law is clear that both upskirting and sharing any such content online is illegal. Under the Online Safety Act, sites and apps must assess the risk of content like this circulating on their services, take steps to stop it appearing and act quickly to remove it when they become aware.’ The Met Police confirmed they would support any victim who came forward to report being filmed inappropriately.

A 16‑year‑old pupil has been detained for four and a half years after stabbing history teacher Vicki Williams in the head at Milford Haven School, Pembrokeshire. The attack happened in February, when the boy—then 15—waited until the end of the school day, approached Ms Williams under the pretext of checking homework, then pulled an eight‑inch kitchen knife from his rucksack and struck her. Ms Williams described seeing “pure hatred” in his eyes as he lunged at her, pushing her into a chair before fleeing. She suffered a scalp wound, scratches and minor cuts, and has since developed PTSD. She told the court she does not know if she will ever return to teaching. The school went into lockdown after the incident. At Swansea Crown Court, the defendant was convicted of wounding with intent but acquitted of attempted murder. He had already admitted possessing a knife on school grounds. Prosecutors argued the attack was deliberate and planned; the defence claimed he brought the knife to school to “show off”. Judge Paul Thomas KC said it was “pure luck” the teacher was not more seriously injured, noting the boy had shown no remorse and had taken the knife to school intending to cause serious harm. He emphasised the need to protect teachers and warned that pupils who attack staff with knives will lose years of their freedom. The CPS said the case was a “shocking display of violence” and praised Ms Williams’ courage.

A former finance employee who diverted almost £92,000 intended for a leading breast cancer charity into his own bank account and spent the money on personal debts, luxury purchases and travel has been sentenced. Tameem Choudhury, formerly employed by Breast Cancer Now, appeared at the Royal Courts of Justice on 1st September 2026 where he was sentenced to two years and six months in prison after pleading guilty to fraud and money laundering offences. The court heard that Choudhury, 29, of Gujarat House, Stoke Newington Church Street, London exploited his position within the charity's finance team to intercept a refund payment worth £91,966.72 that should have been returned to Breast Cancer Now. Breast Cancer Now funds pioneering breast cancer research through grant funding awarded to institutions including The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. In 2023, a payment of £91,966.72 from The Royal Marsden was due to the charity. However, on 11 August 2023, Choudhury used his work email account to send altered bank details to The Royal Marsden on Breast Cancer Now headed paper. The bank account supplied belonged to him. As a result, the refund payment of £91,966.72 was transferred into Choudhury's personal Santander account on 16 August 2024. Within weeks of receiving the funds, Choudhury embarked on a spending spree, using the stolen money to pay off personal debts, make cash withdrawals, fund wedding and honeymoon expenses, purchase luxury items that included a £14,000 Alexander Brown ring, and transfer money to family members. Over two days in September 2024 alone, he spent £49,100.47 of the stolen funds. Evidence recovered during the investigation showed Choudhury was heavily in debt before receiving the money. Messages found on his mobile phone revealed him describing himself as "borderline broke" shortly before accessing the funds. Investigators also uncovered evidence linking the stolen money to payments made to debt collection agencies, airline tickets for travel to Qatar, wedding-related spending, luxury retail purchases and transfers to relatives. After suspicious activity was detected, Santander froze and later closed Choudhury's account. At the point it was frozen, £42,866.25 remained in the account and was subsequently recovered. Following a report from Breast Cancer Now, officers from the City of London Police launched an investigation which led to Choudhury's arrest in June 2025. A jury in Clark County, Nevada, today convicted a 63-year-old former gang leader of murder for his role in the fatal shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas 30 years ago. Jurors deliberated about 90 minutes before finding Duane “Keffe D” Davis guilty of a single count of murder. Prosecutors said Shakur’s murder was part of a feud between the South Side Crips and the Mob Piru gang, which was tied to the Bloods, and as retaliation for Shakur attacking Orlando Anderson earlier in the night at the MGM Grand casino in connection with a gang brawl at the Lakewood Mall in California weeks earlier. Davis told police Sean Puffy Combs offered $1 million for killing Shakur during a meeting at Greenblatt’s deli on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, but he never received it. Davis had repeatedly spoke publicly about his role in Shakur’s murder in interviews and in a memoir called Compton Street Legend. Prosecutors say he supplied the gun and was in the white Cadillac when his nephew, Orlando Anderson, fired the fatal shots. Anderson died in 1998. His statements were used against him in trial. Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the sexual assault of a woman on the London Underground. The woman reported being sexually assaulted while leaving a Northern Line train at London Bridge station on August 7. The incident is thought to have happened during rush hour at around 5.40pm that Friday night. Pictures captured by CCTV footage have now been released of a brown-haired and bearded male who detectives from the British Transport Police want to speak to. The man is wearing sandals, vibrant blue trousers, a matching bag and a black and blue T-shirt in the images. Anyone who recognises the man, who could have information which assists detectives' investigation, is urged to contact British Transport Police. British Transport Police (BTP) said: 'BTP detectives have released images of a man they want to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted on a Northern Line train. 'The incident happened at around 5.40pm on Friday 7 August at London Bridge Underground station. 'The woman was leaving the train when a man sexually assaulted her. 'Officers believe the man in the images could have information that may assist their enquiries.'

Two more people have been charged with murder as part of an ongoing investigation in Wembley. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and located a 17-year-old boy, David Wynter, with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he sadly died at the scene. His family continue to be supported by specialist officers. On Friday, 28 August, officers arrested an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon. Jahquarn St Hillaire, 18 of Wembley and the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons but is from the Wembley area, were both charged on Saturday, 29 August with murder and possession of an offensive weapon. They have been remanded to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 31 August. A 20-year-old man was also arrested on Friday, 28 August on suspicion of assisting an offender. Diego Farquharson, 20 of NW9, has since been charged with assisting an offender and will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 31 August. He remains in police custody. It comes after a 15-year-old boy was charged with murder on Thursday, 27 August. He was remanded in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on the same date and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 24 September.

Two men convicted of causing deaths of mother and daughter by dangerous driving. Two men who drove at excessive speeds on a busy Leeds dual carriageway have been convicted of causing the deaths of a mother and her four-year-old daughter as they walked to school. Hardeep Bhachu, aged 29, of Grant Row, Adel, Leeds, pleaded guilty in June 2024 to causing the deaths of 27-year-old Justyna Hulboj and her daughter Lena Czepczor by dangerous driving. He has been remanded in custody since that time with his sentencing adjourned until the conclusion of a trial related to a second defendant, Jasskamal Riyat. Riyat, aged 37, of Buckstone Avenue, Moortown, Leeds, was found guilty today following a trial at Leeds Crown Court of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving. Shortly after 8.30am on 16 January 2023, Bhachu lost control of the white Audi TT he was driving and hit Justyna and Lena before colliding with the wall of the Vertu Jaguar Leeds car dealership on Scott Hall Road, Leeds. The mother and daughter both died at the scene. Bhachu was taken to hospital due to the injuries he suffered in the collision and was later arrested. Thanks to dashcam and CCTV footage provided by members of the public and Bhachu’s own dashcam, police identified that he had been racing a black BMW 135i immediately before the collision. Riyat, the driver of the BMW, was arrested on the afternoon of 16 January 2023. Bhachu’s dashcam captures a conversation between Bhachu and Riyat as they stopped at traffic lights with Bhachu boasting that his Audi had 560 horsepower and that he’d only been at quarter throttle.

A murder investigation has started after a man who was injured in a stabbing in Birmingham died in hospital. We were initially called to reports of a stabbing on Ashville Avenue, Hodge Hill, at around 11.50pm on Tuesday (25 August). The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital having suffered a number of injuries and sadly died earlier today. Our Major Crime Unit had launched an immediate investigation, carrying out CCTV and house-to-house enquiries, and at this stage we still believe this to be a targeted attack. Further enquiries are continuing at pace as we work to find who was responsible, while the man's family are being supported and updated by specialist officers. A thug who wore a Manchester United shirt mocking the victims of the Hillsborough Disaster has been jailed for 24 years for rape, sexual assault and a campaign of violent abuse. James White was banned from every football ground in the country in 2023 after he pleaded guilty to displaying threatening or abusive writing likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. The 36-year-old had worn a United jersey with the number 97 on the back along with the words ‘Not Enough’ at the club’s FA Cup Final with Manchester City. White, who was branded ‘abhorrent’ by a Judge and slammed by survivors of the tragedy, which saw 97 supporters of Liverpool crushed to death at the 1989 FA Cup semi-final, was arrested last year. A victim told a relative she had been attacked by White, who subsequently fled his address in Warwickshire. She added that White had used a knife to cut her abdomen and that she had suffered bruising on her face, as well as injuries to her back and torso. White pleaded not guilty to assault, sexual assault, rape and domestic abuse charges. He was subsequently found guilty of all charges at Warwick Crown Court in June. Detective Constable Baylie Cairns, from Warwickshire Police, said White subjected the victim to "a campaign of horrific abuse, violence and sexual assaults" and his sentence "prevents him from posing a risk to the victim and others. Cairns added: ‘She showed remarkable bravery and courage in speaking to me about the offences committed against her.’ At his previous case, District Judge Mark Jabbitt said it was ‘hard to imagine a more... offensive reference to the 1989 Hillsborough disaster’. A decade ago a series of inquests found the fans had been unlawfully killed. White bizarrely told police officers that the t-shirt related to his grandad, who died at the age of 97 ‘and didn’t have enough kids’. He was fined £1,000, ordered to pay £485 in costs and was banned from all UK games for four years. An appalled United said it had issued an indefinite ban to White. ‘Mockery of Hillsborough and other football tragedies is completely unacceptable and the club will continue to support firm action to eradicate it from the game,’ a spokesperson said at the time.

A serving prisoner accused of stabbing an imam five times in the head and neck has denied attempted murder. Ahmed Alid, 47, appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from HMP Wakefield on Friday and pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. The court previously heard Alid allegedly attempted to murder Roderic Vassie at HMP Full Sutton, in East Yorkshire, after Friday prayers on 8 August 2025. He will face trial at Newcastle Crown Court on 25 November. It is alleged he was in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a piece of metal, inside HMP Full Sutton, on the same day. The court previously heard that Alid was transferred to HMP Wakefield, where he is accused of attacking prison officer Sarah Mitchell, who suffered a broken nose, bruising and other injuries, on 21 October last year. The defendant, who was remanded in custody, was assisted by a Moroccan translator during the hearing.

A suspected underworld shooting erupted inside a north London corner shop — only for the intended victim to fight back and wrestle the gunman as bullets flew. Mustafa Bolat, 29, walked into the Wood Green store armed with a pistol and fired three shots at Ali Unlu. But Unlu reacted instantly, grabbing the gunman’s arm and forcing the weapon away from him. One shot was fired just inches from his head. The pair crashed into shelves and boxes of fruit as Unlu battled to disarm his attacker, sending apples and oranges flying across the floor. Shocking CCTV footage captured the terrifying struggle before Bolat eventually broke free and calmly walked out. Unlu then hurled a bottle at him as terrified witnesses called 999. The motive remains unclear as neither man agreed to assist police. Both are believed to have Turkish heritage, with Wood Green long associated with Turkish gangland activity. Bolat admitted possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence but was cleared by an Old Bailey jury of attempted murder and possessing a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life. He admitted firing the shots but claimed he only wanted to scare Unlu. Bolat, of Tottenham, was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on November 13.

21-year-old Gabriel Levy, a Jewish man from Wakefield, has been jailed for 28 months at Leeds Crown Court after making anonymous death threats against two mosques in Manchester. He called Al-Sunnah Mosque from a withheld number and said: “I’m going to come to your mosque and kill you.” Just a few hours later, police went to his home, arrested him and seized his mobile phone. Further investigations found that he had also called Iqra Mosque on the same day. He told a member of staff: “I am going to kill you Muslim.” The police also found concerning messages on his phone containing Islamophobic and racist language, as well as other hateful content. He claimed he made the threats in response to the attack on a synagogue in Manchester.
